If it's not Tingle's Balloon Fight, it's a Game & Watch compilation. If it's not that compilation, it's kickass swag. Anytime we hear about Club Nintendo, we become incredibly jealous and often find ourselves just crying away half of the day. Those Japanese gamers get all the good stuff! This time around, they're getting yet another unique game in Exclamation Warriors Sakeburein. The game is apparently multiplayer only, for 2-3 players, and is only played through the microphone. Moves are performed by all players shouting them at the same time. If it's anything like Brain Age, we're sure players will find themselves frustrated when trying to play.Hit the link to check out one of Nintendo's experience videos and some screens for the game.[Via Go Nintendo]

For U.S. gamers, nothing new released for our favorite handheld this week, leaving us all in a state of despair and wanting. For those of you outside the U.S., you guys get a couple of different games to choose from. And, what with it being Friday and all, we've got to ask: what are you playing? How will you be spending your weekend, what games will you be playing? Our DS Lite sits at the ready, as we plan on venturing out into the real world (keeping our eye out for bears, of course) to acquire our puzzle fix. If we can't find it at retail (supposedly it's kind of scarce), we'll undoubtedly have to order the title online and will spend our weekend cuddled up with our Wii. We supposed, either way, we win ...Previous posts: What were you playing?

A couple of new screens for the upcoming DS installment of Rayman: Raving Rabbids have hit the internet, revealing a game that is very much guaranteed to be chock full of platforming action and just as good as its Wii cousin (we're calling it folks). Although we would've liked more screens, we'll take what we can get. We've gone ahead and embedded the screens into the post, past the break.See also: Rayman: Raving Rabbids confirmed for the DS

The BBC recently published a rather lengthy article via its website where they take a look at the rise of the handheld console in gaming. Of course, the piece focuses on both the PSP and DS, their goals and market share they both enjoy. And, focusing on the DS, the piece looks to the Touch! Generations line of games as being the driving force behind the incredible success the DS has enjoyed both at home and abroad. The article is a little hefty on the PSP stuff, though mostly due to the failed promises made by Ken Kutaragi for the device. Still, it's a good read for any handheld gaming enthusiast.

Kentaro Hirai, producer on the upcoming Spectrobes, recently flew over from Japan to introduce the game to a bunch of lucky students from Gauer Elementary school. These kids were taken to Disney Land where Hirai showed off the card-based system of unlocking new monsters, along with some gameplay. Hirai then goes on to discuss why they decided to go with the hole-punch card system (player places the card over the touch screen then taps the corresponding holes on the card), as well as the inspiration in character design. You can view the footage here.

We may have seen the theme played on 15 different instruments, however we never imagined a group would get together and do the theme with bottles. The theme is impressively correct and the video demonstrates an equally-impressive coordination from all participants involved. As usual, we've embedded the video past the post break and suggest you check it out post-haste.[via 1P Start]

As gamers, we are members of a very unique culture that permeates every fiber of our being. Odd gaming quotes and an insatiable desire to explode all barrels in sight are just a few of the things that come to mind when we think of gamers (the rest are just as nice, we assure you), and upon seeing this Rubix Cube, which is affixed with various pictures of Mario and Luigi from the game New Super Mario Bros., we knew that we had to have it. Do you share our desire? [Via Tokyo Mango]

You know, we haven't heard anything at all involving the DS specific installment of My Sims, left in the dark without batteries for our flashlight as we blindly navigated the dark tubes that comprise the internet, desperately searching for any small scrap of news involving the title. Well, we have finally found the light at the end of the tunnel tube and can now bring forth to you, fine reader, some details regarding the game.See, the game has you beginning in a rundown town, a real dump, and you're in charge of sprucing it up, which will in turn bring more residents. Sounds simple enough, right? Well, sure, but this time around you aren't just confined to your house, as through a Relationship menu, you have to constantly keep tabs on your buddies and make sure your relationships are in good standing order. Aside from that, players can choose from 30 different characters in the DS version and customize them in numerous ways, including adding tattoos, as well as create custom furniture and hosues from scratch. Sounds like a lot of fun to us. How about you?[Via Go Nintendo]
