<p>While Android 4.3 never actually materialized at <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/GoogleIO2013/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">Google I/O</a> last month, the latest version of <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/JellyBean/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">Jelly Bean</a> keeps <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2013/05/15/android-4-3-confirmed/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">popping up</a> and <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2013/05/24/android-4-3-spotted-nexus-4/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">making cameos</a> all over. It most recently appeared in the specs for LG's Optimus L7 II Dual (that name's a handful, we know) on the company's website. The handset was running Android 4.1 when we <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2013/02/25/lg-optimus-l-ii-series-hands-on-l7ii-l5i/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">played with it</a> at <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/MWC2013/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">Mobile World Congress</a> and appears to have shipped with that OS version in some markets. Obviously, it's only a matter of time until Android 4.3 becomes official but we fully expect it to debut on Google's own <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/Nexus4/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">Nexus 4</a> flagship before coming to any other device. In light of this, and considering the Optimus L7 II features a 4.3-inch screen, perhaps we're just looking at a typo? We've reached out to LG for clarification -- we'll keep you posted.</p>

<p><strong>Update:</strong> LG confirmed this is a typo. Move along -- nothing to see here.</p>

<p> <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2013/01/31/lg-optimus-l7-II-dual-leak/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget"><img alt="Successor to the budget LG Optimus L7 leaks in Russia with 43inch display, dualSIM ability " data-src-height="340" data-src-width="620" src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2013/01/lg-optimus-leak2.jpg" /></a></p><p> As entry-level phones go, last year's <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2012/06/29/lg-optimus-l7-review/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">Optimus L7</a> had a few pluses on its score sheet -- but equally some serious drawbacks, including a reluctant touchscreen and a shoddy camera module. There's always hope for progress in this business, however, and given that LG already hinted at a new L-series phone in its <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2013/01/30/lg-earnings-q4-2012/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">earnings report</a>, we're inclined to believe a leak that's just come in from Russian site <em>Hi.tech.mail.ru</em>. The pictures show a much softer-edged design with a dedicated SIM-switch button down below, in both black and white. In terms of specs, we're looking at a 2,460mAh battery that is said to last for two days, an 8-megapixel rear camera capable of 720p video and a 1GHz dual-core chip powering Android 4.1 with LG's custom UI on top. The Russian price of 12,990 rubles equates to around $430, which is a lot more than the $300 SIM-free price of the first L7 (not to mention a <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2012/11/02/nexus-4-review/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">Nexus 4</a>) -- but then these currency conversions are often wayward.</p>

The 5.3-inch qHD (960 x 540) IPS display hides a 1.2GHz dual-core chip, 1GB of RAM, 16GB storage, a microSD slot, dual-SIM support and an 8-megapixel rear snapper, all powered by a beefy 2,550mAh battery. Shipping with an included flip cover, the budget-friendly phablet will sell for Rs 21,500 ($400). Loaded with mid-range specs, the device's highlights include a 5-inch WVGA display, a <strike>1.5GHz</strike> 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera with Android 4.1 running the show. We recently managed to get some <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2013/01/10/samsung-galaxy-grand-duos-hands-on/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">hands-on</a> time with a pre-production build of this handset, which felt like a hefty <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2012/05/25/samsung-galaxy-s-iii-review/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">GSIII</a>, but performed more like an overgrown <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2012/10/11/samsung-galaxy-s-iii-mini-hands-on/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">Galaxy S III mini</a>. However, if you've got phablets on the brain and you're balling on a budget, this thrifty hybrid device begins shipping the first week of February.</p><p> <strong>Update</strong>: This post originally (and incorrectly) indicated a 1.5GHz processor. The correct number is 1.2GHz.</p>

And while that particular handset is the flagship, the company is still interested in branching out to a market segment that wants a large screen but needs to keep within a limited budget. The MT6589, which includes the aforementioned quad-core Cortex A7 1GHz+ CPU, also features a <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/PowerVR/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">PowerVR</a> Series5XT GPU, high-performance multimedia support (13MP / 3D camera, 1080p video and display, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/Miracast/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">Miracast</a>) and a built-in 42Mbps HSPA+ / <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/TDSCDMA/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">TD-SCDMA</a>-capable dual-SIM dual-active radio. By combining competitive performance with high thermal efficiency and low power consumption in an affordable package, MediaTek's new chip is well suited for a wide-range of smartphones and tablets running Jelly Bean and beyond. The MT6589 will be available in devices starting Q1 2013. With the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/dual+sim/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">dual-SIM</a> option, you'll also be able to switch between carriers with a single touch "to stay on the most cost effective plan." It'll come with HD Voice and <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2012/07/18/sony-unveils-2012-walkman-range-android-4-0-f-series-and-refres/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">Walkman</a> xLOUD technology for optimal sound quality, according to Sony, and other specs include a 1GHz processor, wireless <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/DNLA/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">DNLA</a> connectivity, a 1500 mAh battery and black, white or pink color options. Pricing has yet to be announced, but it'll launch in Q1 2013 according to the PR, which you can find along with a video right after the break. <div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/sony-xperia-e-press-images/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">Sony Xperia E press images</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/sony-xperia-e-press-images/5480686?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2012/12/eng1xperiaefrontblack_thumbnail.jpg" alt="Sony Xperia E press images" title="Sony Xperia E press images" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/sony-xperia-e-press-images/5480687?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2012/12/eng2xperiaebackblack_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/sony-xperia-e-press-images/5480688?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2012/12/eng3xperiaeleftblack_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/sony-xperia-e-press-images/5480689?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2012/12/eng4xperiaeleftblack_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/sony-xperia-e-press-images/5480690?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2012/12/eng5xperiaegroupblack_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div></p>

Now that it's official, the Galaxy Music (or equally the dual-SIM Galaxy Music Duos variant) turns out to be just that -- with Android 4.0 running on a low-res three-inch touchscreen and an unnamed processor. On the other hand, the handset does have some features that may be of interest to those who use their smartphone mainly for tunes (if not to full-blown <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2012/10/02/iphone-vs-rivals-audio-tests/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">audiophiles</a>): there's a microSD slot for cheap storage, out-of-the-box compatibility with FLAC, OGG and many other file types, Sound Alive and SRS audio modes, a dedicated music player button, plus dual frontal speakers <strike>and a WVGA projector</strike> for sharing the love. Full specs at the source link.</p><p> <strong>Update</strong>: It's been sensibly pointed out there isn't much room for a projector on this handset, judging from the pictures above. Although the Samsung spec sheet lists one, and even its brightness, we're going to treat that spec as doubtful until it's proven otherwise.</p>

Own one and you can globetrot, or else keep separate home and work lines without the bulk of an extra device in the pocket. Sony is gambling that enough Americans have that multi-line desire by selling the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2012/07/10/sony-xperia-miro-and-xperia-tipo-hands-on-video/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">Xperia tipo dual</a> and its regular, single-SIM counterpart in the US as unlocked GSM models. Neither of the Android 4.0 phones is what we'd call a powerhouse with the same 3.5-inch screen, 3.2-megapixel camera and 800MHz Snapdragon inside, but both can latch on to HSPA 3G on AT&amp;T, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/t-mobile,refarming?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">refarmed T-Mobile coverage</a> and 2100MHz carriers abroad, even if the single-SIM tipo curiously has 900MHz 3G support that the tipo dual lacks. It's undoubtedly price that Sony is counting on more than anything: at respective contract-free prices of $180 and $190 for the tipo and tipo dual, the pair of Xperias may be sold most often as travel-only phones for the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/ifa2012?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">jet set</a>.</p>

Yes, this device is an Android 2.3-powered forgery of Nokia's <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2012/06/26/nokia-808-pureview-review/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">808 PureView</a>, but instead of 41 megapixels of imaging awesomeness, you'll find a mere 3.2MP setup that occupies the presumably hollow protrusion on the rear. Keeping with the theme of <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/kirf?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">slumming things up</a>, the 808 Android offers a 550MHz CPU, a 3.5-inch HVGA resistive touch display, a stylus for <em>easier</em> input and data connectivity that tops out at EDGE. If you were wondering, yes, it's a dual-SIM phone. All of this -- complete with rip-off Carl Zeiss badging -- can be yours for just $73.50. Be sure to peep the gallery below, where you can almost smell the shame.</p><p> <div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/keepin-it-real-fake-the-808-android/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">Keepin' it real fake: the 808 Android</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/keepin-it-real-fake-the-808-android/5296102?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2012/09/sku1543661_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/keepin-it-real-fake-the-808-android/5296103?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2012/09/sku1543664_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/keepin-it-real-fake-the-808-android/5296104?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2012/09/sku1543665_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/keepin-it-real-fake-the-808-android/5296105?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2012/09/sku1543666_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/keepin-it-real-fake-the-808-android/5296106?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2012/09/sku1543667_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div></p>

The <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2011/08/15/motorola-defy-leaves-the-gym-coming-this-fall-with-slightly-mo/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">IP67 certification</a> and Gorilla Glass also make it dustproof, but apart from that, the device carries pedestrian specs: Android 4.0, 1GHz dual-core processor, 800 x 480 screen and 5-megapixel rear camera. As with other <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2012/09/07/htc-one-s-family-arrives-in-china/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">recent models</a> in China aiming down the middle of the road, the A660 boasts several colors, and supports WCDMA + GSM networks with <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2012/08/20/samsung-galaxy-s-duos-official/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">dual-SIM</a> / dual-standby capability. Still, we were rather intrigued by the distinct Galaxy Note II pictured above, which, by the looks it, comes pre-loaded with <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/dualsim?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">dual-SIM</a> capabilities, and thus makes this particular unit slightly different than that one unit <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2012/08/29/samsung-galaxy-note-ii-hands-on/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">we played with</a> back at <a href="http://www.engadget.com/event/ifa-2012?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">IFA</a>. Although details are still very scarce at the moment, rumor has it the dual-SIM Note will only be available in China and, aside from the slot additions, all other features the famed <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/phablet/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">phablet</a> offers appear to be exactly the same. Feel free to check out the source below for more pics, but don't expect anything too exciting or out of the ordinary -- unless, of course, extra SIM slots are your thing.</p>

That said, it does have its own trick; space for two SIMs. The phone will be able to keep both SIMs running concurrently, with the ability to chat on Carrier A while <i>still </i>fielding incoming calls on Carrier B. The rest of the hardware is less likely to wow, with a now pretty humble 1GHz processor, 1,500mAh battery, 4GB of built-in storage and a five-megapixel camera on the back. The screen seems big enough, with a 4-inch 480 x 800 TFT housed within the 120g frame, happily running Android 4.0. A European launch is pitched for September, with an unspecified roll-out "across other territories" following soon after.</p>

Still, the past is the past, and now the company's back for more with the recent revelation of its Vivo 4.3 handset; one the company's loudly dubbing as the "world's first dual-SIM smartphone with <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/super+amoled+plus/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">Super AMOLED Plus</a>." Regardless of any global, self-induced titles, the 4.3-inch Vivo appears to offer some interesting features of its own, including that aforementioned Super AMOLED Plus screen, a 1GHz, dual-core Cortex A9 CPU, dual-SIM capabilities and a tweaked flavor of <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2011/12/01/android-4-0-ice-cream-sandwich-review/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">Android 4.0</a>. What's best, however, is BLU plans on selling the Vivo 4.3 unlocked in the US next month for $250, while additional availability is "soon to follow" through Latin America and some parts of Asia.</p>

<p style="text-align: center;"> <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2012/07/31/samsung-galaxy-s-duos-details-make-the-rounds/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget"><img alt="Samsung Galaxy S Duos makes the rounds, bring GS3 vibe to dualSIM world" data-src-height="465" data-src-width="399" src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2012/07/samsung-galaxy-s-duos-leak.jpg" style="margin: 4px;" /></a></p><p> Fans of Samsung's <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/Duos/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">Duos</a> phones wanting 2012 updates have had to make do with <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2012/05/24/samsung-galaxy-ace-duos/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">last year's looks</a> so far. From what's surfacing through multiple Indian sites, though, Samsung must want to spread some of the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2012/07/09/samsung-galaxy-s-iii-review-verizon-wireless/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">Galaxy S III's</a> modern, nature-influenced style to the Duos' twin-SIM audience. The Galaxy S Duos S7562 won't make its bigger sibling jealous with a 4-inch WVGA display, a 1GHz Snapdragon <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/MSM7227A/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">MSM7227A</a> chip or 512MB of RAM, but they're not the point. As always, the highlight is that pair of SIM slots for carrying both home and work phone lines -- or simply mixing and matching prepaid plans. The rest of the hardware falls in line with what's likely to be a much less expensive smartphone, including a 5-megapixel back camera, a VGA front camera and 4GB of storage. Buyers will be glad to know that Android 4.0 should still be coming along for the ride in addition to that stone-inspired look. We've asked Samsung for more official details; there's talk of an Indian launch before the end of the summer, which (if true) could give the crowds in Bangalore and Mumbai more to look forward to in the fall than just cooler temperatures.</p>

This time, though, the documents on offer aren't tipping us off to the impending arrival of some wunderphone -- it's just Sony's recently outed <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2012/06/13/sony-xperia-tipo-dual/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">Xperia tipo</a>. The diminutive 3.2-incher -- set for an official Euro bow this August -- is no screamer with its 480 x 320 TFT display and lone 800MHz Snapdragon CPU. The <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/IceCreamSandwich,%20Sony/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">ICS handset's</a> real claim to fame is its availability in <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2012/07/10/sony-xperia-miro-and-xperia-tipo-hands-on-video/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">single- and dual-SIM flavors</a>. And based on the radios outlined in the corresponding Commission docs -- GPRS/EDGE/GSM 850 and 1900; WCDMA 850 and 1900 -- this modest phone could see a low-end berth on AT&amp;T. Excited? Neither are we. Still, you can peruse the user manual, take a tour of the phone's inner workings and parse through dense legalese at the source link below.</p><p></p><p></p>

The Xperia tipo dual (and its single-SIM version, the tipo) keep things small and simple, with a 3.2-inch <span>480 x 320 </span>TFT screen and 800MHz Snapdragon processor. Both, however, will be running <a href="http://www.engadget.com/updates/devices-ice-cream-sandwich/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">Ice Cream Sandwich</a> out of the gate -- embarrassing Sony's bigger (presumably pricier) smartphones. The sub-100g (3.5-ounce) frame houses 3.2-megapixel camera and 2.5GB of user-accessible memory, expandable by microSD. A dedicated hardware key will switch the tipo dual between those SIMs, while you can also automate the phone to swap between them at different times of the day. There's no launch date or pricing yet, but you can take a video tour of both phones below.<div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/sony-xperia-tipo-dual/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">Sony Xperia tipo dual</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/sony-xperia-tipo-dual/5090965?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2012/06/sandiegoxperia-tipo-dual-gallery---sony-smartphones-global-uk-english-1-1mat800_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/sony-xperia-tipo-dual/5090966?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2012/06/sandiegoxperia-tipo-dual-gallery---sony-smartphones-global-uk-english-2-2mat800_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/sony-xperia-tipo-dual/5090967?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2012/06/sandiegoxperia-tipo-dual-gallery---sony-smartphones-global-uk-english-3-2mat800_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/sony-xperia-tipo-dual/5090968?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2012/06/sandiegoxperia-tipo-dual-gallery---sony-smartphones-global-uk-english-5mat800_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div></p>

The handset is a first of its kind from the company for its European audience, which is said to debut first in Ukraine at a cost of 3,800 грн (approx. $470). The Desire V is an <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/icecreamsandwich?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">Android 4.0</a> smartphone with <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2012/04/02/htc-sense-4-0-review/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">Sense 4</a> and is based on the Qualcomm MSM7227A SoC. Its spec sheet is quite decent, which includes a 1GHz CPU, a 4-inch WVGA display and a 5-megapixel camera. You'll also find 512MB of RAM, and while the phone offers just 4GB of internal storage, it also includes a microSD card slot and 25GB of storage through Dropbox. Only one SIM will support data connections, however, as the latter is limited to GSM/GPRS connections -- still fine for voice, but keep that in mind. You'll see the Desire V hit the streets next month, which'll give you enough time to get your affairs in order (or disorder, as the case may be).</p>

You've come to the right place. Here at <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/Computex2012/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">Computex</a> in Taipei we uncovered three of the handsets <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2012/06/06/gigabyte-gsmart-ics-computex/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">Gigabyte announced yesterday</a> -- the GSmart G1362, G1342 and M1348 -- and took two of them for a spin.</p><p> First up is the G1362 which sports a 4.3-inch FWVGA (854x480) display, 5 megapixel AF camera with LED flash, 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/SnapdragonS4/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">Snapdragon S4</a> CPU, 512MB or RAM and 4GB of internal storage. Next is the G1242, featuring a 3.5-inch HVGA (480x320) LCD, 5 MP autofocus camera with flash, 800MHz single core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 512MB of RAM and a lowly 1GB of built-in flash. The <strike>M1320</strike> M1348 was non-functional and hidden in a display case. It's expected to match the G1342 in specs but uses a 1GHz <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/MediaTek/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">MediaTek</a> CPU and offers 4GB of built-in storage. As previously mentioned, all three phones include two SIM slots (one of them HSPA 7.2Mbps-capable) and run Android 4.0.4.</p><p> Despite packing a Snapdragon S4, the G1362 looks and feels like a mid-range handset, with a less-than-stellar display (poor brightness and viewing angles). The UI was reasonably responsive, however, which is pretty much what you'd expect from a phone with such a powerful processor. As for the G1362, it's basically your standard fare low-end Android handset albeit with dual-SIM support and ICS. Build quality was in line with other prototypes we've handled -- that is to say a little rough around the edges. Of course, it's important to keep in mind that we played with pre-production units running non-final software.</p><p> The G1362 should be available in July for less than $300 unsubsidized, the G1342 is shipping this month (June) for under $200 and the M1348 is expected later this summer at a sub $150 price point. <p style="text-align: center;"> <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2012/06/06/gigabyte-gsmart-ics-computex/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget"><img alt="Gigabyte outs four dualSIM Ice Cream Sandwich phones" src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2012/06/newgigadualsimscomptxjt.jpg" style="margin: 4px; width: 600px; height: 450px;" /></a></p><p> While <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/gigabyte?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">Gigabyte</a> was grabbing headlines at <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/computex2012?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">Computex</a> with its world's <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2012/06/04/gigabyte-x11-hands-on/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">lightest Ultrabook</a>, the Taiwanese firm was also sneaking out a gaggle of new phones. Four new models, in fact, all of them <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/ics?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">Android 4.0</a>, all of them dual-SIM. The rest of the specifications are a mixed bag, with the Gigabyte GSmart M1420 winning the camera wars, with an 8-megapixel shooter, backed up with a 4.3-inch 800 x 480 display and 1GHz MT6575 <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2012/02/13/mediatek-sees-no-reason-cheap-phones-cant-have-ice-cream-sandwi/?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">MediaTek processor</a>. A lower specification M1320 was also announced which is more of the same, but with a smaller, 3.5-inch, display and weaker 3-megapixel snapper. The GSmart G1362 might be more interesting if 4.3 inches is a must, and <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/snapdragon?utm_source=Feed_Classic&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Engadget">Snapdragon's</a> your thing (1GHz), but you'll lose 3 megapixels on the camera compared to the GSmart M1420 as a trade. Finally the GSmart G1342 which only packs in 800MHz (Qualcomm) and 3.5-inches of display. There's scant detail on price and availability at the moment, but have a sift through the source link if you want the blow-by-blow breakdown, and head to our Chinese site to get a hands-on with the G1342 and G1362.</p>

Running Android 2.3 on an 832MHz processor and flashing a 3.5-inch HVGA screen, that dual-SIM capability is the highlight, with Samsung's "Dual SIM always on" feature that forwards calls from the phone number on SIM 2, even if the user is on a call through SIM 1.
