It's actually tough to tell whether or not this Hello Kitty "inspired" handset is real or fake, but at least Mobile-Review is claiming that the HK-adorned F305 will go on sale in Russia this March. From what we can gather, this is a rather standard F305 outside of the flamboyant exterior, boasting a two megapixel camera, M2 card slot, Motion Gaming and a ringer that only knows how to meow. We've no clue how costly this little beauty will be, but you can go ahead and bank on the fact that you'll be buying one for the Cosmo Girl in your life.[Via eldarmurtazin, thanks c88lman]

Press / in the wild shots still not enough for you? Fret not, friends, as CNET had a chance to spend a few quality minutes with Sony Ericsson's F305 slider and write up a few paragraphs of impressions. For starters, they seemed to prefer the white motif versus the black, and while a trio of games will reportedly be available to take advantage of the Motion Gaming controls, only a fishing title was on tap for demoing. It was noted that the phone required "vigorous shakes" in order to get the job done, and unfortunately, critics were less than enthused by how the game actually looked. Nevertheless, it's probably worth a visit to see if SE's next shaker has the chops to earn a spot in your handset collection.

Press shots are often beautiful, but the problem with 'em is that they're usually about as real as Joan Rivers' face -- not the best way to get a real impression of what a device looks and acts like in the flesh. GSM Helpdesk scored some hands-on time today with the full range of Sony Ericsson's new wares, and the headliner of the bunch, the mighty 8.1 megapixel C905, is looking ready for battle. Not literal battle, of course, but battle in the marketplace with a whole host of feature phones being released this year from its top rivals -- particularly important at a time when market share is falling. The 2.4-inch display is apparently "clear" and plenty impressive for managing your extensive photo library, and we're digging the curvy styling; UIQ would've been nice, but we suppose the dumbphone set deserves killer cameras too. Also pictured are the low-end J132 and K330, the S302 (which with a 2 megapixel camera, may not be worthy of the name "Snapshot"), and the F305 gaming phone. We'd had high hopes for the F305 -- as we do for pretty much anything that can be shaken to control games -- but the live shots here are leaving us a little underwhelmed. Maybe the white version will do it justice?Read - C905, S302Read - F305Read - J132, K330

  • Sony Ericsson makes good on Motion Gaming F305 and S302 Snapshot handsets

We'll make this quick since we've already given you all the details related to Sony Ericsson's Motion Gaming F305 and S302 Snapshot. The F305 quad-band GSM/EDGE slider relies upon a motion-sensing accelerometer (pictured bowling), dedicated gaming controls, and stereo speakers to create the gaming experience -- an experience hampered by a wee 2.0-inch, 176 x 220 display. It ships with a standard 8-hour battery with an optional CPP-100 backup battery pack to extend play. The quad-band GSM/EDGE S302 Snapshot is just a regular ol' candybar with 2 megapixel sensor, photo light, video recording, and plenty of build-up trying to position it as a camera first, phone second. Both hit in Q4. %Gallery-25340%Read -- F305 Motion GamingRead -- S302 Snapshot

Sony Ericsson has unveiled its new gaming phone. It's not the elusive "PSP phone" that many have been searching for, but it'll suffice for now. The games available on the F305 are going to be incredibly simple, with 2D era graphics. There are PlayStation buttons, but only two: a O and X button. The camera phone will feature "EDGE speeds, a Memory Stick Micro slot, a 2-inch 176 x 220 display and some music playback features."For us gamers, this phone does nothing to attract us. It's going to take something really big to tug us away from keeping our PSPs in our pants.[Thanks, xzentrico! Via Engadget]

  • Sony Ericsson leaks galore include F305 motion gaming phone

Sony Ericsson is having a bit of trouble keeping its newest lineup on the down low, but we suppose that's the price of fame. Most notable of the new crew is the F305 (pictured), which isn't exactly feature-packed, boasting of mere EDGE speeds, a Memory Stick Micro slot, a 2-inch 176 x 220 display and some music playback features. What sets it apart is a built-in accelerometer for motion controlled games. The game-oriented face buttons are also a perk, but we hope this thing has enough processing power to handle something actually entertaining. The S302 Snapshot is camera-oriented, but only just barely, with a 2 megapixel fixed focus camera, a flash, and PhotoFix software. You can also shoot video, with 20MB of built-in storage, and Memory Stick Micro expansion. Both phones come with A2DP and will be announced on the 17th, according to whoever leaked all this info. The F305 should hit Q3, with the S302 to follow in Q4. Sony Ericsson will also be busting out three stylish but cheap-seeming Bluetooth headsets to accompany these two.[Thanks to everyone who sent this in]Read - Sony Ericsson F305Read - Sony Ericsson S302Read - HBH-PV-715, 720, 740

  • Sony Ericsson F305 concept leaves little to the imagination for June 17 event

With the Paris, Shiho, Alicia, BeiBei, and this F305 all seemingly scooped at this point, what else could Sony Ericsson possibly have up its sleeve for its big event next Tuesday? Odds are they don't have much left in the tank -- but with the breadth of models expected on the stage, that's not necessarily a bad thing. What you see here isn't an actual picture of the F305, but the concept sketch is said to represent "80%" of what the actual device will look like, a gaming-focused low to mid-end slider with an FM radio and stereo speakers. There's more interesting hardware undoubtedly dropping on the 17th that'll more desperately deserve our attention, sure, but as cheap sliders go, this could be a winner. See what we did there? It's a gaming handset. You know, "winner." Never mind.
