It has been nearly four years since The Wolf Among Us wrapped up its original episodic run, but fans will have to wait a bit longer for a follow-up. Telltale Games announced that season two is delayed from its original late-2018 release window into 2019 due to "a few fundamental changes here at Telltale since we first announced the game last summer." As Eurogamer notes, this could refer to layoffs last year that cut its staff by 25 percent, even though at the time, the studio stated that upcoming releases including The Wolf Among Us season two would not be affected.

Telltale's The Wolf Among Us is set to launch today on iOS. The game's first episode, titled "Faith," will cost $4.99, while a pass for the game's entire season will be priced at $14.99, Touch Arcade reported. The latest trailer for the game notes that it will also arrive "soon" on PlayStation Vita. The Wolf Among Us' first episode launched in mid-October on Xbox 360 and PC. The series is based on Bill Willingham's Fables comic series, guiding the werewolf-like Sheriff Bigby through a section of New York City known as Fabletown. Our review of the episode found the game to be a "perfect beginning" to Telltale's new series, and it made us "invested in protecting these curious creatures from our storybooks."

  • Free for All: MMOs for players with a penchant for The Wolf Among Us

Ah, graphics. It's hard to describe why we like the graphical styles we do. I like the stylings of many games, but some are just so perfect that the graphics reach beyond a visual style and become a sort of textural memory in my gamer's heart. Each year, scores of games come out, and though I enjoy many of them, most do not affect me the way the look of games like The Chronicles of Spellborn or even Free Realms does. There are a lot of single-player titles that just blow me away as well. Recently I was absolutely transfixed by Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons. I stayed up late one night to finish it, and the graphics just kept getting better the entire time. Then there's The Wolf Among Us, a new title by Telltale Games, the same studio that made The Walking Dead series. It's made me remember just how amazing graphics can be without requiring a massive gaming rig. Did you like the look of The Wolf Among Us as well? Here are some MMOs that feel similar.

In Telltale's Fables game, The Wolf Among Us, Bigsby Wolf – that dude who loves blowing houses down – is charged with keeping the peace amongst fairy tale creatures hiding out in the real world. As these first screens show, sometimes keeping that peace means punching a guy in the face.

Telltale Games' adaptation of the Fables comic series is now known as The Wolf Among Us, and will be released sometime this summer on PS3, Xbox, PC, and Mac. Bigby Wolf – guess which character from the world of fairy tales he is – lives in New York City, and works a sort of security role, keeping other fairy tale characters hidden."Developing The Wolf Among Us based on the Fables universe has allowed our studio to build upon all of the hallmarks of what makes our episodic series so engaging for players," Telltale CEO Dan Connors told IGN. "Through an evolution of our approach to choice and consequence, we can further explore the complexity of each and every iconic character in a universe rich with untold history from the darkest sides of the storybooks."In other words, this sounds like The Walking Dead "dramatic" Telltale, more than the Sam & Max/Strong Bad "funny" Telltale.

Telltale Games' adventure adaptation of the Fables comic series has been delayed until the third quarter of this year, according to an interview with CEO Dan Connors by Digital Trends. Originally scheduled for the first quarter, the game will make its first appearance around E3 in June, followed by more details at San Diego Comic-Con in July.Fables, not to be confused with Microsoft's Fable series, is about characters from folklore and fairy tales living in New York City. Connors mentioned that the series may have to take on a different name to avoid confusion with the established RPG series, and avoid any communiques from the lawyers of Redmond.

Telltale's adaptation of the Fables comic book series is expected to debut in the first quarter of 2012, the developer announced during a press event last night. Like The Walking Dead project, the Fables games are part of a mult-year, multi-title deal. At the event, Telltale SVP of marketing, Steve Allison, took special care to note that the developer would "pay homage to the comics as they are written" and that we would encounter more details at Comic-Con this summer. Fables, created by Bill Willingham, follows various fictional characters, from folklore and fairy tales, that have been excommunicated from their realm and forced to live in New York City. Snow White, Pinocchio and the Three Bears are among the familiar characters depicted in the celebrated comic book series.

In addition to Jurassic Park, Telltale is currently adapting The Walking Dead and the Fables comic book series into games, reports All Thing's Digital's eMoney blog, part of the WSJ network. The developer is expected go into detail on the titles at a pre-scheduled press event tonight, during which a total of five multiplatform projects are supposed to be announced. According to eMoney, the Fables game is part of "an exclusive worldwide publishing agreement" with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, while The Walking Dead game will be based on the AMC television adaption of the franchise (which also originated as a comic). Steve Allison, SVP of marketing for Telltale, told the site that he thinks The Walking Dead has the potential to become a $20–30 million franchise for the studio. "See the movie, play the game doesn't work anymore," Allison said, "but the way we make content, it does." Both new series are expected to be episodic adventure games, in line with Telltale's current and past efforts, and "will trickle out over the next year," according to eMoney, through digital retailers including Telltale's online store and Steam. • Fairy Godmother Tycoon: get your magic wand ready

Ever since Sid Meier's Railroad Tycoon came out in 1990, there's been an onslaught of "Tycoon" games. You've got everything from RollerCoaster Tycoon, to Airport Tycoon, to Prison Tycoon, amongst others. There's even a "Tycoon Collection" that contains Circus Tycoon, Carnival Cruise Lines Tycoon, and Mall of America Tycoon. It's a total invasion of the tycoons.Adding to that pile is one more tycoon game that at least sounds creative: Electronic Arts' upcoming Fairy Godmother Tycoon. All the past tycooners (we just trademarked that phrase, fyi) simulate a type of business, from running a lemonade stand to operating an amusement park, but this one takes you into fairy tale land, where you have to manage being a Fairy Godmother. Which is essentially a kind of business as well, you think dealing out magic and wishes comes cheap?Apparently it doesn't come easy either, because in this game "you must make careful decisions -- purchasing supplies when they're cheap, pricing your potions correctly, hiring goons to help you with your marketing, casting spells on peasants and upgrading elements around your shop." Check out the interview on VH1 GameBreak with game producer Todd Kerpelman, and find out more about it.
