Insert Credit is reporting that Capcom is publishing a new fighting game for PSP based on the popular hentai series Fate/stay night. Don't expect giant tentacle monsters and naked girls in the game, though. Although the series has its roots in the eroge visual novel genre, the franchise has become accepted in the mainstream, expanding to a mass-market manga and anime. The game, titled Fate/Tiger Colosseum, is coming from the not-so-capable hands of Cavia (Bullet Witch for Xbox 360). Without gratuitous nudity, the team must work on some truly compelling gameplay to make this worthwhile.[Via Kotaku]

  • Final Fantasy: Ring of Fates trailer

And rounding up the recent deluge of Square-Enix trailers from their annual Jump Festa event, this Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates trailer certainly impresses. There's some shiny text, and then a long, confusing sequence in which one tries to focus on five different scenes in the picture at once. Leave it to SE to try and simply overwhelm your senses ... they're rather good at that. The original Crystal Chronicles was a bit of a let-down, but this title can hopefully bring FF:CC out of the "crappy Final Fantasy spin-offs" category. Oh, and for a slightly higher quality version of the trailer, click here for the official movie from Square-Enix's website.(And did anyone check out what appeared to be a stylus-based fire spell around 1:41? Awesome.)[via Penny Arcade]

Sabarasa Entertainment has eyes for the DS apparently, as they already have begun work on a sequel to Mazes of Fate, a GBA title that released just this past week. We cannot find any reviews for the game online, having navigated the many tubes it is comprised of in search of just one score. Regardless, a sequel is coming, says Sabarasa Entertainment CEO Javier Otaegui:"We are definitely thinking of the DS, but not for porting exactly this game. We have already started pre-production work for Mazes of Fate 2 for DS."
