Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Alex Ziebart will be your host today. Whichever region out there is hogging all of the rain, please send some towards Wisconsin. My lawn could really use the help. Thanks in advance! Jack Spicer: In the pure interest of unlocking all of Molten Front as fast as possible, is "Additional Armaments" the superior choice over "Filling the Moonwell" and "Calling the Ancients" because it unlocks 1 additional daily quest, or do those other ones also unlock additional dailies?

  • Arcane Brilliance: Upgrading your mage's gear in patch 4.2

Every week, WoW Insider brings you Arcane Brilliance for arcane, fire and frost mages. Other things, too, but none of those things are nearly as important. I don't think I'm exaggerating when I say that Arcane Brilliance is, without a doubt, the single greatest weekly mage column on this website. Period. New patch day has come and gone, and we're all now furiously blasting through the new content, hoping to upgrade our old uber gear for new uber gear. I love the weeks following patch days. It's like the twelve days of Christmas, only instead of turtle doves and french hens we get magical flaming staves and giant angry lava spiders. Sadly, all that new gear doesn't simply come down the chimney and appear below our flaming Christmas trees. We have to earn it, farm for it, slay bosses for it, and quest for it. All of those things take time, a thing I find I have precious little of these days. So where best to allocate our time in order to get the gear we want in the most efficient ways possible?

  • Spiritual Guidance: Patch 4.2 shadow priest trinkets

Every week, WoW Insider brings you Spiritual Guidance for discipline, holy and shadow priests. On Wednesdays, shadow priesting expert Fox Van Allen rains sheer purple destruction down on the growing list of WoW Insider columnists who oppose him (and sometimes, even on those who don't). I've said it before and I'll say it again: Gearing in Cataclysm is boring. It's not that there aren't best-in-slot pieces -- there absolutely are -- it's just that reforging makes getting those best-in-slot pieces a lot less important. After all, if you need more haste or more hit, you can always reforge other stats until you have as much as you want. Simple. There's one slot that's absolutely compelling, though, and that's the trinket slot. Trinket bonuses are so specific that it's often impossible to tell what's an upgrade and what isn't without a calculator or spreadsheet. And while those new i378 boots are almost guaranteed to be better than that i359 pair you currently have equipped, the same can't be said for the new trinkets. So, which of the new patch 4.2 trinkets make the cut ... if any? Is the Darkmoon Card: Volcano still king? And further, what the heck are our new stat weightings in patch 4.2 going to be so we can figure these answers out?

  • Patch 4.2 Daily Quests: Between the Trees and The Power of Malorne

We're talking about two quests at once again today. I mentioned in the Assault on Sethria's Roost guide that there is a new style of daily quest in patch 4.2: daily quest chains. Today's quests are an example of that. You accept a quest, and upon completing it, you are immediately prompted to turn it in and accept step two. All of these quests start out with some sort of collection quest (with a twist) and are followed up by killing an elite (with a twist). Today's quests are: Between the Trees The Power of Malorne While most of the dailies Blizzard has labeled as "the Regrowth dailies" do not take place in the region of Mount Hyjal actually labeled the Regrowth, this pair of quests does! You will be sent right into the middle of the zone, which has been overrun by minions of the Firelands. Again. The Regrowth, the portion of the Firelands you personally regrew with the help of Aessina, has managed to get torched away for the second time in one expansion. Way to go, Guardians of Hyjal. You are almost as ineffective as the Argent Crusade. Oh, also? Since this is a guide to quests in patch 4.2, you can be sure there are mild spoilers ahead.

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Alex Ziebart will be your host today. I was going to yell at Adam for making me wade through Game of Thrones spoilers in the comments of yesterday's Queue, but the first book has been out for what, 15 years now? Frankly, I have nobody to blame but myself at this point. Many readers asked: How far into Hyjal questing do I need to be to unlock the ability to do the new daily quest hubs in patch 4.2?

  • Patch 4.2 Daily Quests: Assault on Sethria's Roost

Once you've sufficiently advanced the Firelands storyline to the point that you can enter the Molten Front, the Regrowth portion of patch 4.2's daily quests breaks into two types of quests. The first type is a small daily quest chain. You do some gathering, and then you use what you've gathered to kill an elite. The other type of quests are simpler, one-shot quests that can occasionally be organized into even smaller hubs. The kill-and-collect daily quest that sends you into Sethria's Roost, which we'll be talking about today, is quite nice when it shows up, because it can be completed alongside The Protectors of Hyjal which you'll be doing regularly. The quests we will be looking at today are: The Protectors of Hyjal Treating the Wounds If you're doing these daily quests, that means you've already quested through Mount Hyjal before. You're already familiar with Sethria's Roost. The entire region is now phased. The twilight drakonids, which you personally murdered the last time you were through here, are long gone and replaced by minions of the Firelands: Fiery Behemoths and Seething Pyrelords.
