Watch the most impressive 'Game of Thrones' VFX reel yet

Warning: Spoilers ahoy. This week's Game of Thrones episode wasn't dampened by hacking or leaks, mainly because the "Loot Train" battle was so spectacular. The producers have posted a new YouTube breakdown (below) showing how the VFX and stunt team used everything they've learned so far to pull it off. On top of the CGI, there are acrobatic horse stunts, multiple people on fire, and most of all, those fire-breathing dragon scenes. "It's like a time travel movie -- what if somebody had an F-16 that they brought to a medieval battle?" said executive producer D.B. Weiss.

After hitting the headlines last week, the hackers responsible for the HBO data breach are back. And, this time they're demanding a ransom. On Monday, the group leaked internal emails, and multiple documents relating to Game of Thrones -- including a detailed summary of the upcoming episode, due to air this Sunday. In a video letter, the hackers urge the broadcaster to cough up money (although the figure has not yet been released).

The next episode of 'Game of Thrones' leaks online

Once again a Game of Thrones episode has leaked before its intended release. The fourth part of season seven was shared online through a Google Drive link, and we can confirm it's authentic. The source is unconfirmed but it's likely part of the HBO hack reported on Monday, which included episodes of Ballers, Room 104 and Insecure, as well as thousands of company documents. Game of Thrones is, of course, HBO's crown jewel and any leaks are particularly damaging, both financially and for its public image. It's a feeling the company will be used to, however; back in 2015, four episodes of season five leaked before its series premiere.

Netflix isn't the only video service suffering form a hack: HBO has been breached as well. Hackers have gotten their mitts on 1.5 terabytes of data according to Entertainment Weekly, which apparently includes an episode of Ballers and Room 104 in addition to what may or may not be text related to next week's Game of Thrones installment. The hackers promise more will be leaked.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare brings the war (and the fare) to space, and it's taking Game of Thrones actor Kit Harington and UFC fighter Conor McGregor along for the ride. Unfortunately, Activision and Infinity Ward didn't take this opportunity to make the world's best buddy-cop action-comedy game. Instead, Harington plays the evil Admiral Salen Kotch of the Settlement Defense Front and McGregor is his muscle, Captain Bradley Fillion. They're a pair of bad dudes in space suits and in the story campaign, it's your job to take them down.

Warning: mild spoilers ahead. The last two shows on Game of Thrones season six were particularly spectacle-laden, so the show's VFX houses were busier than ever. Mackevision and Rising Sun Pictures have released new demo reels showing exactly how they turned extras into a huge crowd or just (digitally) murdered them. Rising Sun (below) was charged with the King's Landing scenes in the final episode, which featured fiery green explosions, a huge bell crushing a hapless citizen and the incineration of a certain not-well-liked character.

As usual, the season's penultimate Game of Thrones episode was explosive, leaving us to wonder what's left for the season finale this week, along with the season finale of Silicon Valley. Before we get there however, we've got the series finale of Person of Interest, and a special episode tonight laying out Mr. Robot before season two of that show kicks off on USA. Mega Man creator Keiji Inafune's crowdfunded project Mighty No. 9 is finally ready to roll on several systems, while Midnight Special is coming home on Blu-ray. Fans of Bill Simmons can check out his HBO show on Wednesday night, while fans of Weeds, Breaking Bad and Narcos may want to check out Queen of the South. Look after the break to check out each day's highlights, including trailers and let us know what you think (or what we missed).

If you're caught up on Game of Thrones, you're probably still reeling from last night's "The Battle of the Bastards." The show is no stranger to big battle scenes, but it was an episode that still managed to outdo anything we've seen before when it comes to large-scale mayhem (even last year's zombie-filled "Hardhome"). As you'd expect, it was all thanks to a smart combination of practical effects and CG, as the HBO behind the scenes feature below points out.

'Game of Thrones' composer on making truly epic scores

Ramin Djawadi's theme for Game of Thrones has inspired covers upon covers. The Iranian-German composer's music has helped shape the magic, power and terror on every episode of HBO's most watched series. While the show's haunting score is his most celebrated offering to date, his recent work on Warcraft: The Beginning also made its mark. Despite the abysmal reviews of the videogame-turned-movie, the soundtrack has held its own with its larger-than-life orchestral elements.

'Game of Thrones' star Kit Harington is in the new 'Call of Duty'

Kit Harington, the actor best known as the fearless, misunderstood warrior Jon Snow on Game of Thrones, plays a dastardly villain in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. He portrays the face of the Settlement Defense Front, a radical organization hellbent on destroying Earth. Even though no one in Game of Thrones is completely innocent, the Infinite Warfare gig is a far cry from Harington's regular role as a defender of humanity, Activision says.

Meanwhile, The Revenant is ready on both Blu-ray and Ultra HD Blu-ray, while Star Fox Zero is coming home on Wii U. Of course, the big hitters this week are HBO's Game of Thrones and Silicon Valley(and don't forget Beyonce's Lemonade special) but before those arrive we can expect the full third season of Deadbeat on Hulu, Thunderbirds are Go on Amazon, and a new Patton Oswalt comedy special on Netflix. There are still ten days to go until Game of Thrones season six debuts, but HBO is doing its best to keep fans' appetites for new footage satiated until then. After dropping a dingy new trailer on Monday, and some behind-the-scenes footage yesterday, it's now released a 360-degree video of the show's opening credits on Facebook.
