Stiven from Adriacraft has returned, literally minutes after the latest PTR build was launched, with a bundle of exciting new sound files. These are seriously spoiler-laden, as ever, so if you don't want patch 5.4 spoilers, for any element of the new content, we heartily suggest not looking at the content after the cut. Also, don't read the rest of the article, don't listen to the sound files, and don't read the comments! Instead, look at this picture of the Ring of Valor, and bemoan (or not) its departure from the game. If you don't mind, or indeed, actively want spoilers, read on!

  • Patch 5.4 PTR: Gamon's time to shine

Gamon, Orgrimmar's resident punching bag, has gone through a lot over the years. He began life as the target of a low level rogue quest, being robbed and brutalized day after day. In Wrath of the Lich King, Gamon grew tired of the constant crime and violence, deciding to take a stand against the corruption in Orgrimmar and fend off the death knight menace encroaching on its gates. Unfortunately, still a lowly level 12, he was no match for his level 58 opponents. After an intense training montage, Gamon was reborn as a level 85 elite in Cataclysm. Over the course of Mists of Pandaria, he has been one of the proud citizens of Orgrimmar to stand up to Garrosh Hellscream's oppression, engaged in a months-long stand-off with a number or the Warchief's Kor'kron enforcers. Finally, in patch 5.4, Gamon will fulfill his dream. He will be a hero. Gamon will save us all.

Wowcrendor first covered the secret history of Gamon back in August, in which we learned how the troubled Tauren struggled to find his place in the world. Of course, in a turn of events no one could have known then, Gamon would find a source of untapped power in Cataclysm. The master of wry humor has picked up the gauntlet and expanded on Gamon's tale in Gamon Story 2. You should definitely see the first Gamon story before moving on to this sequel, but that isn't a huge time commitment. Don't worry, the final payoff is worth it. • Cataclysm: Gamon, legendary villain of Orgrimmar, made even more elite

I am Foxlight, legendary hero of the masses. This is Orgrimmar. My city. I must be out there in the night, staying vigilant. Wherever the darkness stirs, I will be there. Wherever an inn is threatened, I will be there. Wherever a rogue needs to finish a quest, I will be there. Lurking. Watching. For at any moment, I know the foul villain Gamon may return to threaten my people. Years ago, Gamon posed no threat -- a simple two-bit crook; a level 12 drunkard. Gamon bided his time in the Valley of Strength's inn (specifically, dead on the inn's floor). Many ignored him. But those of us, those of us with a sixth sense ... we knew that he needed to be stopped before it was too late. They laughed at me. Called me a fool. Stopped me from doing what must be done. And so, sinister Gamon obtained the legendary Tazan's Key. And before they could stop him, dark, foul Gamon unlocked the secrets of Tazan's Satchel, accessing the dark magicks inside. The once quiet Gamon is now ... a level 85 elite. And despite his quiet manner, he threatens the very safety of not just low-level rogues trying to finish a quest, but the entire world. A cunning villain, he still resists the urge to attack unless he is attacked first. But even so, his kill count is rising. He must be stopped. I don't eat. I don't sleep. I keep watch over the Valley of Strength's inn, making sure Gamon stays dead on the inn's floor. The needs of the world outweigh the needs of the level 10 rogue trying to complete a quest. I am Foxlight. And Gamon ... I will destroy you. Over and over again, every five minutes, until you stop respawning. World of Warcraft: Cataclysm will destroy Azeroth as we know it; nothing will be the same! In WoW Insider's Guide to Cataclysm, you can find out everything you need to know about WoW's third expansion (available Dec. 7, 2010), from brand new races to revamped quests and zones. • WoW Moviewatch: Gamon: The Untold Story

Wowcrendor is as irresistable as ever, and he's making a return to his tongue-in-cheek character roots with Gamon: The Untold Story. If you don't know the chap by name, Gamon is a Tauren who spawns in Orgrimmar. He is, in a sense, the Horde's third favorite punching bag. (The first two are gnomes and blood elves, respectively.) Wowcrendor was inspired by this miscreant, and put together a brief machinima to tell the tale of the troubled Tauren. Take the time to check it out, and let us know what you think. Welcome back to The Queue, WoW Insider's daily Q&A column where the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Alex Ziebart will be your host today.Hi again, everyone! I may be covering The Queue for the rest of the week while Adam Holisky flees from a righteous flood. We usually trade off days, but he's kind of a wuss and can't take a little water, so I'll spare him the tragedy of needing to toddle through a puddle or whatever.pants asked... "I know that they are taking away the proto-drakes for the raid achievements in 3.1, but will the title "Champion of the Frozen Wastes" be gone as well for it's respective achievement?"
