Refusing to slow its pace of dealmaking, Netflix announced tonight that it has a new "multi-year" agreement with producer Ryan Murphy, starting in July. Murphy has produced a string of hit series over the years, including Glee, Nip/Tuck, American Horror Story and Scream Queens. His contract with Fox is about to expire, and according to reports from the New York Times and Deadline, this began a bidding war that put the price of his five-year agreement at as much as $300 million.

Stream 'Glee,' 'NYPD Blue' and older Fox shows on Hulu

Hulu's close connection to Fox just got a little closer. The streaming service has unveiled a deal with Fox that adds every episode of dozens of well-known (if also well-worn) shows, including some that aren't necessarily obvious picks. Relatively recent hits like Glee and How I Met Your Mother are available alongside shows that have been off the air for a while, such as NYPD Blue, M*A*S*H and The Mary Tyler Moore Show. Thankfully, there are a few outliers -- you can watch both seasons of Joss Whedon's Dollhouse, for instance.

  • Nokia Lumia 525 reaches Chinese regulator, hints at play-it-safe Windows Phone upgrade

Was Nokia's recent cavalcade of new Lumias not enough for you? Don't worry, there's yet another model on the way -- Chinese regulator TENAA has approved the Lumia 525, a previously rumored refresh of the entry-level 520. As the name suggests, the Windows Phone likely won't be a radical break from the past. Photos that briefly appeared at the Chinese agency (and were first caught by LiveSide.net) show a device that closely resembles the 520, including the flash-free rear camera. We don't know much about what's inside beyond 3G and WiFi, although an earlier rumor at BlogJack has the 525 doubling the onboard RAM to 1GB and putting a greater focus on music. The clearance doesn't necessarily confirm an imminent launch. However, there have been murmurs at Nokiapoweruser of a launch by early December; those who want yet another frugal Lumia may not have long to wait.

  • Arcane Brilliance: Mists of Pandaria mage glyph guide

Every week, WoW Insider brings you Arcane Brilliance for arcane, fire and frost mages. This week, we're talking glyphs and the mages who love them. Question: where do we keep our glyphs? Are they semi-permanent tattoos? Are they inscribed upon our clothing somewhere? Do we carry around a piece of paper with all our runes scrawled upon it? And if so, what happens to that scrap of paper when we forget to take it out of our pants before we run them through the laundry? The practical mechanics of inscription intrigue me. As time marches forward, I find myself staring intently down the barrel of my wand at the approaching pandaren invasion, realizing with each passing moment that I am entirely unprepared. So much to cover! So little time. Good thing we can Alter and Warp time, right? It's high time we discussed glyphs. I know Josh Myers previewed glyphs during my absence a few months back, but a whole lot has changed since then. This particular system has changed a bit from what we're used to. Gone are prime glyphs. Now it's just majors and minors. And the majors have been redesigned in an attempt to make them more situational and utilitarian, and this attempt seems to have been largely successful. Instead of being forced to choose between damage increase glyph A and damage increase glyph B, you will now find yourself choosing the glyphs that appeal to you most or fit your playstyle best. Cookie-cutter, must-have glyphs are by and large a thing of the past, and I submit that this is a positive change. Still, each spec will find that certain glyphs work better for them than others, and in the guide that follows, I will endeavor to advise you as best I can on which glyphs look most attractive for each school of mage.

Twentieth Century Fox and Netflix have announced a partnership that will bring additional television and movie content to avid streamers living in Latin America and Brazil later this year. Beginning on July 15th, TV mainstays -- including 24, Prison Break, Bones and Glee -- will be available via the movie rental company's Instant service in the aforementioned geographies. What's more, Twentieth Century's classic films division will add several movie titles, including cult-classics like Office Space and Wall Street, to the streaming menu. If you currently reside in Latin America or Brazil and are itching to know more, mosey on past the break and have a look at the full press release.

  • Netflix adds more Fox content to streaming including Glee S1, Ally McBeal

In a nice rebound from last week, Netflix is expanding its non-exclusive agreement with Fox for content, bringing older shows Ally McBeal and The Wonder Years to Watch Instantly for the first time. Also arriving are the first season of Glee and the first two seasons of Sons of Anarchy from FX with additional seasons to be added annually, as well as "a number of library movies" after their premium pay-tv windows subside. It's not exactly the cable TV competing type of deal that it just locked up with Paramount in Canada, but fans of those shows have a few more reasons to hang on to the service. Beyond the announcement a slew of new content popped up on the service today including the just-aired premiere episode of Body of Proof, BBC stuff like Top Gear and Luther, a few James Bond flicks and anime like Inuyasha and Bleach, so even if you're not a gleek (and disappointed because if Netflix and Fox are talking, the only topics of discussion should be commissioning new seasons of Firefly and Terriers) there's plenty of reasons to update that queue today.

As with so many great songs from theater, I first truly fell in love with Mr. Cellophane when it was performed by Kurt Hummel. I was especially grateful for my Glee-based education when I was sent Cellophane: A Rogue Story. It's the sad story of a rogue who doesn't get much attention, so he ultimately goes on a killing spree. I think we've all been there. This video is from the writer of Tastes like Battle Chicken as her first attempt at machinima. It's a pretty good first outing, in my opinion. I was actually surprised by how well the lyrics to Mr. Cellophane do work for a rogue story, so this song was an inspired choice. Interested in the wide world of machinima? We have new movies every weekday here on WoW Moviewatch! Have suggestions for machinima we ought to feature? Toss us an email at machinima@wow.com.

  • Screen grabs: ReWalk helps Glee's Artie Abrams put his best foot forward

Screen Grabs chronicles the uses (and misuses) of real-world gadgets in today's movies and TV. Send in your sightings (with screen grab!) to screengrabs at engadget dot com. Sure, in real life it's a $100,000-plus piece of machinery, but for West McKinley High School's glee club, the ReWalk is a chance for one of its quieter stars to get a chance to use his legs again (and not just in a dream sequence like from season one's "Dream On"). But hey, that's Hollywood for ya. Or maybe it's a Christmas miracle -- with lots of singing! Yeah, that's the ticket. A shame they didn't break out into "Domo Arigato (Mr. Cybernetic Enhancement-o)," though. [Thanks to everyone who sent this in]

We covered the introduction of weekly episodes a few weeks ago, and I promised we'd get back to them in due time. So did the Breen win? What can we expect from the next series of episodes? • TUAW's Daily App: Glee Karaoke

Smule has reinvented its official Glee app as Glee Karaoke, specially for the new season of the musical show. Our own Mike Rose enjoyed the first app earlier this year, but this release adds a little competition to the mix -- you can now compete on high score boards for every song, and complete missions in the game to unlock new content and move up the charts. You can also improve your singing by playing with the app -- there's "a touch of pitch correction" in there, and you can get feedback as you sing on just how well you're doing. The app is cheaper than before, too (just US $0.99 for the original purchase). Songs still have to be purchased separately, but every week, Smule is adding new songs into the mix, so you can keep up with the show during the season. I have to admit, Smule has been pretty innovative with music on the App Store, and this latest app revamp is no exception. For Glee fans, it's a must, but anyone who enjoys belting out their favorite lyrics should definitely check this one out.

  • Glee receives 8-bit YouTube 'game' treatment

Some of the fine folks who brought you 8-bit versions of Twilight and Dr. Horrible now deliver their most terrifying concept yet: 8-bit Glee. Just in time for tonight's second season premiere, the 8-bit "choose your own adventure" (utilizing the power of YouTube annotations) covers events of the musical (karaoke?) television series' first season. Although losing before the finale may not be canon to the series, the "game" features Sue and Schuester's verbal sparring, (non-participatory) rhythm game cliches and all that sugary, inspirational stuff that got the show picked up for two more seasons.

  • Smule's Glee app puts a song in your heart and on your phone

Enthusiastic fans of Fox's hit teen angst 'n jazz hands show Glee refer to themselves as 'gleeks,' a portmanteau of glee and geek. It's a sure bet that the gleeks will be beside themselves when they hit the App Store today and see the new US$2.99 Glee app, which brings the show's musical numbers to life with your voice in the starring role. Developed by Smule, the new app joins the company's suite of music makers (Ocarina, Leaf Trombone, I Am T-Pain, Magic Piano, etc.) as a social-vocal mashup that puts some serious geek power behind the simple act of singing. Add in the show's iTunes-dominating songs and what will undoubtedly be a nice promotional push from the network, and it's bound to be heading for the top of the paid charts. Glee for iPhone is straightforward enough to use, although as is sometimes the case with memory-intensive apps in their first version, you may experience a bit of instability if you haven't restarted your phone in the past few weeks. With headphones on and device in hand, you can select a song and go into karaoke/recording mode to lay it down. The app plays the backing track, displays the lyrics and shows you the pitch line for the melody and harmony parts. Read on for more, including an interview with Smule's founder Dr. Ge Wang. %Gallery-90913%

  • WoW Moviewatch: Ninja Raiders

Occasionally, you come across a WoW music video parody so perfect in its conception, so ideal in its creation, and so pure in its execution, that after seeing it for the first time, you can only think, "Why did it take this long for it to happen?" In my opinion, Ninja Raiders is one such video. I first learned of the song Single Ladies via one of my recent obsessions, Glee. So I will admit that some of my undying devotion to Kurt probably warmed me to the song. But I had not yet connected Single Ladies to WoW. So, when I watched Ninja Raiders, it seems like the most perfect, beautiful example of a WoW parody song ever. The creators did a fantastic job, and their interpretation of the tune has been stuck in my head ever since. The creators did a great job of using the video to augment the song, without taking away from the audience's focus on lyrics. The imagery is spot on, and who doesn't love the references to Hunter Weapons? Every word is true, my friends. If you liked it, then you should have rolled Need on it.
