We knew the Gravity 2 was coming, but when it was announced, T-Mobile stayed coy about pricing and availability beyond saying "August." Turns out that "August" means today, because a quick visit to the carrier's website now lets you get in on the text-heavy landscape slider for a mere $29.99 on contract after rebate in your choice of "Metallic Pumpkin" or the arguably more sophisticated "Berry Mauve." Don't expect the world -- the camera's just 2 megapixels and the screen is going to cause frustration, eyestrain, injury, and / or death if you try to browse actual websites -- but at least you've got GPS, AWS 3G, and some of the more spacious texting you'll find at this price point. Just don't drop it, because you'll learn how it gets its name real quick. [Via TmoToday] Read - Metallic Pumpkin Read - Berry Mauve

There aren't any surprises in this particular batch of announcements, but we're sure Samsung's new Comeback and Gravity 2 will sell like gangbusters for T-Mobile considering the overwhelming popularity of the text-savvy segment. First up, the Comeback flips to the side to reveal its inner goodness, featuring a 2 megapixel camera, microSD support up to 16GB, and a pair of displays -- one 128 x 128, one wide QVGA. Next up, the Gravity 2 succeeds -- you guessed it, the Gravity, with a more traditional side-slide QWERTY layout; like the Comeback, it features a 2 megapixel sensor and 3G. The Comeback drops today for $129.99 on contract with the Gravity 2 following on in August for a to-be-announced price.

Leaked carrier roadmap documents of unknown age and origin aren't necessarily the most accurate things in the world, but they are one very awesome, important thing: leaked. Pictured above is a fragment of one such spreadsheet that we've had the good fortune of receiving for T-Mobile USA -- obviously it's a little bit on the small slide, but no sweat, we'll walk you through what it's saying. Again, we wouldn't take these dates as the gospel truth, but we'd venture to say they're a good rough guide for what to expect out of these guys for the next few months. Move along for the full list![Thanks, anonymous tipster]

  • Samsung prepping a 3G bounty for T-Mobile this year

It's not clear how people manage to score so many good pictures of phones that aren't scheduled for announcement -- much less release -- for months, but who are we to complain? Some crafty dude over on TmoNews' forums is showing off much of Samsung's 2009 lineup for T-Mobile, and the first fantastic bit of news here is that everything we're seeing is apparently 3G; that's a good sign that T-Mobile's confident enough about its AWS buildout to start transitioning its lineup to 3G en masse, and plump 3G lineups always makes us happy. Anyhow, we've got the Gravity 2 here your choice of red or orange, the 20-key t349 candybar, and that's not all we've got for you QWERTY and half-QWERTY fans -- there's an unnamed clamshell here (pictured) that'll be available in two colors. Finally, there's a supposedly low-cost full touchscreen device looking a little bit like a cross between a Cookie and an Instinct s30 that's running TouchWiz and features a 3 megapixel camera. No Android stuff here, though the lucky poster says that he believes the device will be the i7500 and won't be available until November -- a bummer if true. [Thanks, Glenn]
