Not content on simply golfing, the Helghast are making their way into yet another PlayStation game. Like its Xbox 360 counterpart, the PS3 version of Lost Planet 2 will feature its own console-exclusive characters. In addition to the PS3-only Monster Hunter characters, two Helghast skins will be made available as a free download via the PSN in June. As noted on the PlayStation.Blog, this will be the only game ever to include the Helghast, a Monster Hunter, Dead Rising's Frank West, and Resident Evil's Albert Wesker all in one place. We wouldn't be surprised, though, if Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 manages to reunite all of these characters for a second time. Check out a trailer after the break.

It feels like it's been too long since the last Hot Shots game. That'll change in late June, though, with the arrival of Hot Shots Tennis: Get a Grip for PSP. According to PlayStation Blog, this isn't a port of the 2007 PS2 Hot Shots Golf spin-off, but rather a new Hot Shots Tennis game, featuring an "all-new tennis adventure." And by adventure, they mean it. The new Story Mode will require exploration, as you travel the world "spreading tennis love to everyone and anyone you meet." Sounds a bit like Mario Tennis, no? New to the US version of Hot Shots Tennis will be the Killzone Helghast character (pictured). Finally -- a Killzone game filled with color! Get a Grip will launch simultaneously on UMD and PSN on June 29.

Sony is looking to extract some more money from European wallets through a new deal inked with Target Entertainment, who will now be the consumer product licensing agent for all PlayStation software IP. This means you could have a nice 6" tall Kratos watching over your cubicle whenever you go to refill that mug of coffee, or your own cuddly, huge Sackboy to snuggle up with every night while in bed. Really, the possibilities for merchandise are near endless here.SCEE's licensing and peripherals manager Stephanie Freeman says Sony wants "consumers to have the ability to interact with our brands and characters in ways other than just on screen. We feel Target Entertainment Group has the vibrancy and experience to help us do this successfully." No word on when these products will be making their way to market, but you should be able to stock up on Helghast target dummies and Ratchet and Clank ratchet sets soon.

American PS3 owners who fancy getting their hands on the Killzone 2 demo will get an opportunity to try it out tonight, when the Helghast invasion of Home begins. If you're not into pre-ordering or setting up a European PSN account, you'll want to be wandering around Home from 9pm EST onwards. At that time, the Helghast soldiers will appear, brandishing demo codes for all who request them. Use the code to redeem the demo from the PlayStation Store. This may be the last chance to get hold of the demo before it finally releases to everyone on February 26th, a day before the game's actual release. It's not clear how long the Home invasion will last, so procrastinators beware.

If you're a big Killzone fan, you might've checked out the limited edition Helghast figurine from press photos of previous Sony events. The "figurine" stands at over six feet tall and, well, intimidates you into playing Killzone. Now you have a chance to own one -- someone has put one of these statues up on eBay for your bidding pleasure. The statue is fiberglass and can be disassembled for ease of transport and you can tote the StA-52 Light Assault Rifle yourself if you want to go cosplay or something. Or ward off the ignorant masses. It's your call.[Thanks Ether02!]
