Labyrinth Legends free with PlayStation Plus tomorrow
Creat Studios' PS3 dungeon action game Labyrinth Legends is the latest addition to the PlayStation Plus "Instant Game Collection," available tomorrow at no additional charge. The game features overhead-view dungeons with a combination of action and puzzles, as well as multiplayer maze game action. It looks vaguely Zelda-esque and Bombermanly, and you can try it for free if you're on Plus.Other discounts for premium PSN users this week include the PS3 Hot Shots Golf: Out of Bounds collection for $8.99 (full price $25) and discounts on Zombie Driver HD and its add-ons.
Sackboy joins the Hot Shots Golf cast [Update 2]
The LittleBigPlanet stars are tired of platforming in all your user-created levels. They're taking a break by joining the cast of Hot Shots Golf. Update: The content will be available tomorrow, March 12th. Hot Shots Golf: Out of Bounds' latest patch brings voice chat
Voice chat is now available via a patch for Hot Shots Golf: Out of Bounds, PlayStation.Blog reports. In addition to this often requested feature, developer Clap Hanz also added a number of costumes for the characters in the game. Check out all of them in the seven new screenshots below. Though common golfing etiquette dictates that respectful silence should often be observed whilst "hitting the greens", Clap Hanz has included voice chat functionality in the latest patch for Hot Shots Golf: Out of Bounds -- a missing feature which many reviewers were none too happy about. While many of you will likely see this as a chance to jeer your opponents with finely honed "smack talk", we urge you to respect the cordial nature of the game. Perhaps your newly afforded vocality could be used for good -- by commending a fellow player on a nice shot, warning players ahead of an incoming ball with a resounding "Fore!", or by sharing the story of when you caddied for the Dalai Lama. Gunga Galunga!
What happens when you cross Mainichi Issho and Hot Shots Golf?
That cat from Mainichi Issho is showing up everywhere nowadays! In addition to making an appearance as a costume for the Japanese version of LittleBigPlanet, Sony's favorite kitty cat Toro is also getting a 600 yen (about $6 USD) game that crosses over with Hot Shots Golf: Out of Bounds (Minna no Golf 5 in Japan). Titled Minnya no Putter Golf, the add-on stars Jasmine and Toro in a tee-off in a golf course within the Mainichi Issho game. While we're not enthusiastic fans of the sport on television, we do love picking up the virtual golf club and playing a few rounds of Hot Shots Golf with a few friends. Hot Shots Golf 5 swings into US March 2008
A little birdie told us. Actually, it was PS3 Fanboy, but working those guys into a golf pun proved to be more challenging and awkward than hitting a hole-in-one with a pool noodle. As the strikingly informative headline would suggest, the fifth main iteration of Sony's Hot Shots Golf is expected to cross the gulf between the US and Japan sometime in March 2008. The game was greeted with polite applause upon its initial release in July, prompting PlayStation 3 sales to double and avid clubbers to praise its sparkling graphics and adorably deformed characters. Expect to hear an exact release date early next year. Until then, caddy on.
Hot Shots Golf 5 gets March 2008 release

Hot Shots Golf 5 tore up the Japanese sales charts thanks to its attractive graphics, accessible gameplay and ultra-cute characters. PS3 Fanboy has learned that SCEA will finally release one of our favorite games in the States in March 2008. We're certain that a downloadable demo will strike the PSN before that, though.
