Another day, another round of hotfixes. Today's highlights include: Player pets should now correctly rejoin the player after taking a flight path or using a vehicle. Battleground Flag Carriers should now correctly have a 45-second delay before their location is revealed to the enemy team (was incorrectly revealing their location immediately). Recruit-a-Friend characters should now be correctly receiving a 300% bonus to the experience awarded for completing a Dungeon (was incorrectly awarding 900% instead). The full hotfixes can be found below. There are a few class balance hotfixes there, so don't miss them!

    12.04.2014

Another significant round of hotfixes have gone live for Warlords of Draenor. This bunch includes numerous fixes to garrisons, classes, and the newly released Highmaul and world bosses. Some highlights include: Iron Horde Invasion: Made a number of adjustments to make Gold Victory more obtainable. Borrok the Devourer should now drop a Devourer's Gutstone that allows more than one player to loot it. Tarlna the Ageless' Genesis ability now summons a maximum of 15 Giant Lashers and has a increased duration of 12 seconds (up from 6 seconds). It's worth noting that though there has not been concrete confirmation, there's speculation that Tarlna the Ageless summoning far too many lashers contributed to server instability Tuesday evening. The full list of hotfixes can be found below.

    12.03.2014

A new round of hot fixes is out for WoD, including some major changes to key garrison buildings (or at least key as in buildings that are wanted). Highlights include: Menagerie Level 3: Reduced the number of pet battle wins needed for the Draenic Pet Battler achievement from 500 to 150. Conquest Garrison Missions have been disabled temporarily from the pool of available missions for players that are eligible to receive them. Molten Core -- Trash mobs like Ancient Core Hounds and Lava Surgers no longer respawn. Conquest Points have been converted into Honor Points before the start of the season. Level-up items created by professions no longer use reagents that required a daily cooldown to create and are no longer soulbound. To compensate for this change, basic reagent requirements have been increased and vendor buyback price for those items have been reduced now that they're less rare. The full list of changes after the break.

  • Numerous Inscription hotfixes now live

    11.26.2014

The latest round of Warlords of Draenor hotfixes is directed at solving a number of issues with Inscription. The following glyphs were unable to be crafted and have now been added to vendors: Glyph of the Solstice (Druid) Glyph of Purification (Priest) Glyph of Purify Spirit (Shaman) Glyph of Flying Fists (Monk) Glyph of Cleanse (Paladin) The glyphs are currently unique and soulbound -- you cannot buy them en masse to list on the auction house. Glyph of Frostbrand Weapon does not currently have an associated item and could not be added to vendors. For now, shaman will learn the spell automatically instead. If you're a shaman and have not automatically learned the spell, relogging should fix it. Glyph of Blackout Kick, a glyph monks have been digging to find, is not currently in the game at all -- monks will need to wait until the next minor patch to acquire it. In addition, ink traders -- which were briefly nonfunctional -- should now be fixed.

Another lengthy round of hotfixes for patch 6.0.3 hit the servers yesterday, including one to revert the LFG dungeon loot system back to personal loot. This round also includes a host of dungeon changes and adjustments, quest adjustments, and some welcome changes to Garrison Missions. In addition, the anniversary LFR edition of Molten Core has been tweaked, as well as Tarren Mill vs. Southshore. Player characters are now guaranteed to have appropriate level Garrison Missons available for their followers according to their level range -- level 90-94, and level 95-99. Ashran has been temporarily disabled as a daily quest choice while issues with some of the daily quests are being troubleshooted. Players should no longer be incorrectly placed into a Molten Core run in which Ragnaros has already been defeated. Personal loot has returned, and in addition, each player in the group will now always receive an item from the final dungeon boss. Read on for the full list of hotfixes.

  • Dungeon Hotfixes, Need before Greed now default

When Warlords of Draenor launched, it brought with it a new loot system - the personal loot of Raid Finder was now in place for dungeons. There were advantages and disadvantages to this - one of the advantages was that loot didn't drop that no one wanted, for example. But a lot of players found it a less than compelling system. And apparently their voices have been heard, because it's back, baby. Rygarius posted a host of dungeon and raid hotfixes, including but not limited to the return of Need before Greed as the default loot system in dungeons. What else is happening? Completing your first Heroic Warlords dungeon nets you a reward of 50 Garrison Resources. The return of the Call to Arms feature for in-demand roles like tanks and healers. You will now once again be able to queue for dungeons from the Ashram cities of Stormshield and Warspear. What do you think of these changes?

Yes, more hotfixes. This round has numerous garrison and quest bug fixes. They've also opened up the second Apexis Crystal vendor, and reverted an earlier PvP hotfix that was originally implemented to tone down PvP damage at level 90. Here are some of the highlights. Apexis Traders Dawn-Seeker Krek (Alliance) and Dawn-Seeker Alkset (Horde) are now offering Exceptional gear (item level 645) for sale. Increased the spawn rates for creatures and NPCs in the Skettis Ruins area in Spires of Arak. Characters with Warlords PvP gear that had its secondary item level activated due to being in PvP combat temporarily disqualifies them from queuing for Dungeons and Raid Finder. Gnomes are now able to increase their reputation with Wrynn's Vanguard. Reverted a hotfix from October 15 that reduced all PvP damage by 25%. Miner's Coffee movement speed buff should now stack correctly with other movement speed buffs. Solium Band rings can now be equipped at level 98 (down from level 100). You can find the full list of hotfixes after the break.

    11.18.2014

The latest round of hotfixes is a big one, and as the realms recently underwent rolling restarts, everything in this list should now be applied. Here are some of the highlights. Resolved an issue where players could get stuck on a flight path while attempting to fly into their Garrisons. Increased the amount of experience awarded for completing a Draenor level-up dungeon (Bloodmaul Slag Mines, Iron Docs, Auchindoun, and Skyreach) to be more rewarding. Honor Quartermasters have been added to Ashran. Austin Feeney (Alliance) and Shadow Hunter Gar'ant (Horde) now sell Honor gear. An item now needs to be at least item level 560 or above before being eligible to be scaled up to 650 in level 100 Battlegrounds and Arenas. Profession work order items have been changed to green quality to reduce the amount of loot window popups when completing work orders. The full list of fixes is after the break.

    11.16.2014

Another batch of hotfixes for patch 6.0.3 rolled out yesterday, addressing more bugs and issues with Warlords of Draenor. This time around, there are a host of garrison and quest adjustments and bug fixes, as well as some tweaks to NPCs and dungeons. It's not the longest list we've seen so far, but there are a lot of issues being addressed. The Lunarfall Inn and Frostwall Tavern have had a few of their quests adjusted to offer improved rewards. Several quests throughout Draenor have had their spawn and drop rates increased. Warlocks -- you may be tricky with your enslaving of demons, but both Felwrought Annihilator and Xanatos the Defiler can no longer be enslaved. Characters with over 600 skill in a profession should no longer continue to find catch-up items for those professions. Read on for the full list of hotfixes.

  • Warlords of Draenor's rocky launch saga and Reddit controversy continue

We've heard a lot of "it's a good problem to have" in regards to the struggles that World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor has faced this past week, as a huge influx of players have met laggy servers, lengthy queues, and DDoS attacks. But we're sure that Blizzard would prefer no problems, period, which is why the studio has been updating the community on an hourly basis regarding its efforts to stabilize the game. Blizzard says that it's currently monitoring the servers and has seen an improvement in performance around the world. In the past day, the studio has performed rolling restarts, hotfixes, and increased the population caps on various servers. Massively's own writers have had mixed experiences thus far; while we had to cancel Mike's Friday stream because of queues and the servers were down a large portion of Saturday, by Saturday night queues and lag issues were clearing up on some servers, like Bree's, no doubt thanks to increased capacity. But some gamers are taking their reaction to the extreme. The core moderator of the WoW subreddit shut that subreddit down last night in protest over his personal login difficulties. While the forums have since been restored with apologies from other Reddit mods, participants are still arguing over the events. "r/WoW shouldn't be a hostage," Blizzard bluename Zarhym admonished via Twitter.

    11.14.2014

After round one and round two of today's hotfixes comes round three. Once again, these hotfixes are aimed primarily at questflow, but there are a few bugfixes in the mix. Highlights include: Artificer Romuul: Resolved an issue where players may sometimes not receive this quest after completing the Embaari Defense Crystal event. These Colors Don't Run: Characters now receive credit towards planting a Frostwolf Banner when they defeat or help in defeating a Bladespire Ogre with the exception of Bladespire Mauler, Chef, Boarbuster, Ogron, and Goresnout. Collision geometry has been added to Drek'Thar, Thrall, and Gazlowe in Frostfire Ridge. Resolved an issue where Keg Smash may sometimes not generate Chi when used. You can find the full list of hotfixes below.

  • Additional hotfixes issued for November 13

    11.13.2014

Blizzard has released the details of a second round of hotfixes today to go along with those issued earlier today, the majority of which are aimed at bottlenecks in questing and other questing issues. Highlights include: Dark Enemies: Increased spawn rates for Shadowmoon Voidmancer. [Requires a realm restart.] Gormaul Tower: (Temporary) Completion credit for the quest is automatically awarded once players reach the top of the hill. Toy Train Set has been temporarily disabled. The Shadowmoon Voidmancers were one of the earliest problematic areas in the Alliance questing experience, a bottleneck that caused a severe buildup of players last night and this afternoon. And the Toy Train Set hotfix will surely be appreciated by those stuck standing near a portal or any other bottleneck location. The full hotfixes can be found below.

    11.13.2014

Like any WoW expansion, Warlords of Draenor has not been without its issues. Garrison services are currently undergoing a restart and a fresh round of hotfixes has been released, primarily aimed at questing content. Some highlights: Back to Work / Looking for Lumber: Greatly increased the number of trees available to mark for both Horde and Alliance versions of the quest. Additionally, Lunarfall Ravens respawn much more quickly now. Ship Salvage / What We Need: Drudgeboat Salvage should now respawn more quickly. Durotan at Beastwatch in Gorgrond is now significantly tougher. You can find the full hotfixes below.

  • Broken garrisons and other issues on launch day

    by

    11.13.2014

UPDATE: Bashiok posted that Blizzard will be "restarting some Garrison services" to address access and progression issues. He also says that Blizzard has implemented "dozens of hotfixes" over the last few hours. UPDATE 2: For those experiencing long queue times, this is working as intended. Bashiok has said that Blizzard is reducing realm population caps in order to address latency. Rygarius has posted a list of hotfixes for November 13. UPDATE 3: Lore tweeted about the issues: "So obviously launch not going as smoothly as we wanted. Will be many discussions in the near future about what could have been done better. Right now, however, we're focusing 100% on just fixing issues so everyone can play. Can worry about what went wrong later." UPDATE 4: Lore says fixes have been implemented for garrisons, but he recommends walking to your garrison instead of flying there or using a hearthstone. Despite a mostly smooth launch so far, some realms are now experiencing major problems as more and more players crowd the servers. Garrisons on Argent Dawn, Cenarion Circle, Khadgar, and other realms are currently bugged and not always phasing properly. Twitter user @ikolism posted the image above of players in an unphased Horde garrison. Normally you're only supposed to see the players you've invited to your version of the fortress... Players can become stuck inside their garrisons, or stuck outside and unable to "zone in." If the entire garrison server crashes when players are inside it, they are reportedly sent back to where their hearthstones are set. For many that means an unexpected trip back to Orgrimmar, Stormwind, or Pandaria. High population realms, particularly in the EU, have experienced world server lag and crashes. CM Lore tweeted an update on the problems, but did not provide an ETA: Still working on server and garrison issues. Making some headway, exploring as many options as we can find. - Lore (@CM_Lore) November 13, 2014 Earlier, rolling restarts were required to fix Establish Your Garrison for Horde players. A number of hotfixes have already gone out today to fix problems with These Colors Don't Run in Frostfire Ridge and Drudgeboat Salvage quest objects in Shadowmoon Valley. Lore also says a hotfix is "in testing" for Gormaul Tower. Another for Gorgrond NPCs that are reluctant to spawn is "being developed."

Once again into the breach, dear friends, and instead of using dead bodies as material for a wall, we're going to look at the hotfixes that Blizzard made for November 5th. Shall we? Let's do. Hunter's tenacity pets saw a couple of fixes. Tenacity Pet Specialization: Blood of the Rhino now reduces the pet's physical damage taken by 15% instead of increasing armor by 20%. Tenacity Pet Specialization: Great Stamina now increases the pet's health by 60% (up from 12%). Priests saw a 15% nerf to Holy Nova's healing, while Divine Star's healing or damage (based on spec) was buffed by 15% Fixed an issue where Zidormi may send players to an incorrect phase in the Blasted Lands. Once a Challenge Mode has started, characters can no longer change specializations, talents, or glyphs. For a full list of the hotfixes, follow us beyond the curtain.

You can stop pulling your hair out trying to complete the Brood of Alysrazor achievement for the Blazing Wings toy at the Darkmoon Faire. Up until these hotfixes, the fire rings were shared between players which made getting this achievement nearly impossible on a populated realm. All players should now have their own individual rings. I've personally had luck completing the achievement with this route. Here are some of the highlights from this round of hotfixes. Firebird's Challenge: Blazing Rings are no longer shared with other players. Moonfang should once again be tuned for level 90 players. Get Kraken!: Increased the health for North Sea Kraken by 1000%. Color blind shaders are back. New console command: /console colorblindsimulator [0-8]. Resolved a frame rate stuttering issue that was affecting some Mac OS clients. The full list of fixes is after the break.

    10.31.2014

So here we are, friends, the complete list of hotfixes for Patch 6.0.3, as of October 30th. What's happening, you may ask? Well, for starters, all the class tuning hotfixes we mentioned yesterday are in. But of course there's more: Resolved an issue where durations for periodic effects were not always being extended for the full amount when refreshed by another ability. Downfall Wing 4: Resolved an issue where Gnomish Gyrocopters may not be destroying Thresher Turrets for Alliance players. Razorfen Kraul: Groyat, the Blind Hunter's Drain Life ability should no longer damage or heal for an excessive amount. Isle of Conquest: Huge Seaforium Bombs no longer have a level requirement to interact with them. For the complete list of hotfixes, the official site has the skinny.

    10.29.2014

The first round of hotfixes for patch 6.0.3 are in. The list of fixes is a bit shorter than what we've been used to over the past couple of weeks, with no class or stat squish fixes this time around. Quests Roll Club: Serpent's Spine should no longer cause players to float and allow them to complete the quest. Zarhym Altogether: Spirit Chests looted during the weekly quest no longer contains gold. World Environment World Defense chat channel should be joinable once again. Alliance characters taking a flight path to Shattered Beachhead should now arrive safely at their destination (rather than falling through the world). Battlegrounds and Arenas Bonus Honor for winning a Battleground is now only awarded when queuing for a Random Battleground (it was incorrectly awarding the bonus Honor for any Battleground win). Be sure to check out the patch 6.0.3 notes from yesterday if you missed them.

    10.22.2014

Blizzard continues to roll out hotfixes for patch 6.0.2 dealing with class issues and creature spells that didn't make the transition to the post-item squish world well enough. Nothing terribly special this time, but certainly some nice bugs taken care of that Druids will appreciate. The full list is as follows: Blizzard Entertainment Classes Druid Dash should now correctly remove root effects when used. Stampeding Roar should now correctly remove root effects when used. Rake should no longer incorrectly stun the target if the attack misses while the Druid is stealthed. Resolved an issue where Boosted Characters may sometimes be unable to learn Faerie Swarm. Raids Siege of Orgrimmar The Fallen Protectors: Sun Tenderheart's Calamity ability should no longer deal an excessive amount of damage. Throne of Thunder Resolved an issue where the Feat of Strength achievement "I Thought He Was Supposed to Be Hard?" was being incorrectly awarded to characters that have died during the fight. Firelands Beth'tilac: Smoldering Devastation should no longer deal an excessive amount of damage. Throne of the Four Winds Conclave of Wind: Rohash's Deafening Wind ability should no longer deal an excessive amount of damage. Icecrown Citadel The Lich King: Necrotic Plague should no longer deal an excessive amount of damage. The Eye of Eternity Malygos (Phase 3): Damage dealt while riding a Red Drake now scales with the player's item level. Sunwell Plateau Grand Warlock Alythess: Flame Touched should no longer deal an excessive amount of damage. Scenarios Blood in the Snow: Freezing Circle should no longer deal an excessive amount of damage. Battlegrounds and Arenas Characters that are in-transit on a flight path should now be able to accept a Battleground or Arena queue. source

An issue affecting boosted players and their ability to learn talents has been resolved. Read on for the full list of hotfixes.
