The last All Points Bulletin video podcast featured a pretty in-depth look at the music creator coming with the game, but afterwords the community still had several questions. So this week, community guy extraordinaire Chris Collins presents viewers with some more answers on the music creator from the game's audio lead, Roland Peddie. Plus, we get an in-game example of how the music player functions when driving or walking around San Paro. Between creating music and playing whatever you like while cruising around the city, we suspect All Points Bulletin will garner quite the creative following, and we're very excited to hear and see what comes of the game. Next week, we should be getting the final part of this "music trilogy" of APB podcasts, complete with a community Q&A. Find the full video podcast after the break.

An upcoming LittleBigPlanet patch called "Cornish Yarg" (1.12) will tweak a number of minor things, and will add one key new feature: in-game music. This new music player will allow players to choose music from their XMB, but it can only be used in Create mode, or while lounging in the Pod.Community objects will also be easier to delete with the 1.12 update, offering users the ability to delete all non-hearted community objects in one fell swoop. For more details on the upcoming patch, visit the LittleBigPlanet news site.

  • The Daily Grind: Unforgettable MMO music

For some, the music in MMOGs is just something to be listened to the first time through, then flipped off in favor of our own particular mix. For others, music in MMOGs is not only really enjoyable, but something we seek out and will even occasionally listen to when not playing! (This blogger still gets goosebumps when listening to the opening strains of the EverQuest theme song.) From great EBM in EVE Online and the fight music in The Matrix Online to more orchestral/choral pieces like those in Age of Conan and World of Warcraft (Lament of the Highborne anyone?) there's a lot of really great MMOG music out there. If you had to pick some of your favorite MMO songs, what would they be? Do you have any nostalgia choices in your mix? How about new favorites? Which ones jump to mind as part of your gaming experience that you'll never forget?

  • To soothe the savage player

Skyrender over at the WoW LJ asked a simple but interesting question I thought I would pass along to you guys: What is your favorite in-game music?Recently Blizzard added a lot of great new music tracks to the game, but some of my personal favorites happen to be the older, traditional compositions if you will. I have actually found myself missing the old Inn music, despite getting the new tracks stuck playing in my head (as is happening at this very moment, as a matter of fact.) As much as I am in love with the Lament of the Highborne, I find the music in Auberdine to be equally stirring. Perhaps it's the simple fact that I know the original music so well. My characters grew up with that music, and it seems strange to walk into a place and hear something unfamiliar. I suppose music makes me more nostalgic than I realized.
