Soon you will know the true meaning of power -- that is, should you decide to download Star Wars Empire at War, the latest RTS available on Steam. Developed by Petroglyph Games way back in 2006, it takes place during the events leading up to Episode IV. The Gold Pack edition on Steam even includes the Forces of Corruption expansion, which adds a host of new units, heroes and planets, as well as an expanded multiplayer suite. Sorry, Mac owners -- this one's Windows only. Not a big Star Wars fan? No worries, because Steam is also slashing 50% off the Lucasarts Adventure Pack, a collection of four classic adventure titles: Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, LOOM and The Dig. All four of these titles are Steam Play compatible and will run on your Mac. You can get 'em for $5, only a little more than a buck a game. That's a pretty damn good deal, if you ask us. • LucasArts classics coming to iPhone?

Good news from our friends over at Joystiq -- they had the good fortune to speak with the folks over at LucasArts (who are currently working on reviving some of their old point-and-click library of games: Secret of Monkey Island is coming back to the Xbox Live Arcade, and other games, including the classic Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis, are due to make their way to the PC's Steam service), and the subject of the iPhone came up. While we didn't get any really great news (like, say, a release date), we did get a vague answer in the affirmative: "On iPhone, you know Apple's policy that we can't talk about a release until it's ready to release. But it would make sense that we would do something like that if we were to go in that direction ... wink wink, nod, nod."With a wink and a nod, it seems like a fairly safe bet that we can expect at least one or two iPhone ports of these old LucasArts titles in the future. The whole point-and-click genre (you can play a great little sample done by gaming genius Tim Schafer right over on his company's website) is experiencing a resurgence, and LucasArts is showing a lot of sudden loyalty to fan favorites like Monkey Island, Maniac Mansion, and Grim Fandango, so there's never been a better time to send a port or two over towards the App Store.

We've updated our post from earlier this afternoon but thought a fresh post might ensure you'd spot it (see? It worked!). We've just heard back from a publicist at LucasArts who told us that, while the upcoming Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings will indeed feature LucasArts' seminal adventure gaming classic Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis, that bonus "will be on the Wii version only." That leaves PS2, PSP and DS gamers all reaching for the same thing: ScummVM.%Gallery-43732%
