Infamous: Second Son is one of the first major PS4 exclusives to come to the console since it launched some three months ago, so it's kind of a big deal for Sony. That's why its Euro branch is chucking an Infamous sale at PSN users ahead of the game's launch next month. If you're totally new to Sucker Punch's elemental open-world action series, but you do want in on the whole caboodle, then the Infamous Collection offers the best value. It includes all three Infa-games - that's Infamous, Infamous 2, and the vampiric standalone expansion Festival of Blood - and it's down by just under half to £15.38/18.89 euros/AU$28.05. If you'd prefer, the three games are all on sale individually, and there's a 10 percent discount on all the purchases for PS Plus members. Check out the full list of discounts on the PS Blog. That trilogy of games features electric hero/anti-hero Cole McGrath, but Second Son introduces a new, smokier star in Delsin Rowe. As for whether the game is as smoking as its new protagonist, we'll find out when it hits PS4 in a month's time on March 21. [Image: Sony]

  • PSN's best selling games of 2011 list dominated by games not from 2011

We're practically knee deep in 2012 at this point, and yet 2011 still refuses to give up the limelight, dropping financial data and sales reports on its way out the door in a desperate final attempt at relevance. So here we are, with a list of 2011's top sellers on the PlayStation Network ... and we've got two lists dominated by one game from 1985, and one from 2010.Speaking only in terms of full games, not "paid downloads" (like DLC packs for Black Ops) and PS Minis, the list is a hodgepodge of nostalgia-fueled favorites from yesteryear (like Tetris in its curiously lofty number one spot), and digitally distributed future-classics like Castle Crashers and Limbo, which ranked in at six and seven respectively. There's on important thread tying those together: none of those games launched in 2011.When all digital sales are taken into account, however, the list becomes an entirely different beast, and the only actual game present within the top 10 is Angry Birds, of all things (a PS Mini). In fact, the three best-selling anythings on the PlayStation Network in 2011 were Black Ops DLC packs, followed closely by a cavalcade of FIFA Soccer 12 and MLB 11 sundries. At least the DLC came out in 2011! Hop past the break for the full breakdown of both lists, care of Game Informer.

  • PSA: inFamous 2 and Festival of Blood now support PlayStation Move

As promised earlier this year, PlayStation Move support is now functional in inFamous 2 and the franchise's latest iteration, inFamous 2: Festival of Blood. Even more thrilling? You can add Move functionality right into your user-created content, care of the game's level editor. Move support comes to inFamous 2 and Festival of Blood via an in-game update, which players will be prompted to download at the launch of either game. If that info weren't enough to get your arms waggling (get it? 'cause of the Move? yeah!), Sucker Punch creative lead Nate Fox starred in the handy video above, detailing the added functionality.

The world of Infamous is all about character. The settings, from urban-gothic Empire City to moss-drenched, sweltering New Marais, ooze character. The protagonists, particularly Nascar-ready Cole McGrath and his bro-friend Zeke, are studies in character, seemingly ripped from a television show you've known and loved for years. And then there's you, the player. Do you have character? What sort? Will you be a good witch or a bad witch? Your character will determine how the games play out, and how the game world responds to you. For the standalone PSN downloadable Festival of Blood, Sucker Punch has turned a hat trick whipping up a tasty little Halloween treat that, in spite of its brevity, follows in the tradition of its larger franchise and provides some of the most intriguing game experiences of any game available now, downloadable or not. Without a doubt, it has the most character of any three-hour game I have ever played.

Sony announced its holiday lineup of PlayStation Move games, anchored by ... two games that are already out! In addition to the Move Pack add-on for LittleBigPlanet 2, Sony revealed that Move support will be added to both Infamous 2 and Infamous 2: Festival of Blood. The $14.99 Festival of Blood will include built-in support for the glowy controller, and will also include the update for Infamous 2 when it launches on October 25. After the break, find release dates for other Move titles coming this quarter, including Medieval Moves, Carnival Island, and EyePet and Friends. Actually, make that "release date," singular -- Sony's putting them all out on November 15.

  • See Infamous 2: Festival of Blood's resurrection

Sucker Punch and Sony are teasing Infamous 2: Festival of Blood with a brief cutscene. It shows a shriveled corpse drinking superhero Cole McGrath's blood, in order to resurrect as some kind of super-vampire. If that's the kind of imagery that interests you, we suspect you'll find a lot more of it in the PSN game. After all, it's not only about fighting vampires -- your character becomes a vampire himself. This will be the go-to game for scenes of blood drinking, electrocution, and, we're guessing, bloodtrocution.

  • Infamous 2: Festival of Blood gets Truly Bloody this October [update: trailer!]

Electro-monster Cole from Infamous 2 is now an electro-vampire in Infamous 2: Festival of Blood, available on PSN this October. In this downloadable game, New Marais is infested by vampires. Cole is bitten, and must find the head vampire before the night ends, to reverse his condition. Does electricity hurt vampires? We'll find out, we suppose. Also, can you make a vampire game set in Louisiana and avoid comparisons to both Interview with the Vampire and True Blood? This post has already proven that you cannot. This was called a "brand new game available for download," which sounds more like a standalone PSN game than DLC. Update: The PlayStation Blog confirms that you don't need any other Infamous games to play this. It also posted the above trailer.
