The company's Mobile News Camera packs a trio of 1/3-inch 1080p 12-bit sensors, a 29-667mm lens, 3.5-inch LCD, SDXC compatibility and HD-SDI outputs, but it also includes WiFi connectivity with FTP server support, letting you record then automatically transmit footage back to a newsroom for editing and broadcast. The camera itself is very compact, considering that it's primarily suited for professional news applications, and also includes all the standard audio hook-ups, like dual XLR jacks, a shotgun mic holder, headphone jack and a separate connector for a wireless mic receiver, along with GPS and Android/iOS app control. JVC also launched another model, the GY-HM600, which offers similar features, save for those wireless connectivity bits. Both cameras look nearly identical, though the company only had the less-abled 600 on display at <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/NAB2012">NAB</a>. That camera will retail for $4,695 when it hits in the fall, while the 650 will cost you $1,000 more, with a winter 2012 shipping estimate. We weren't able to peek at the WiFi model at the show, but you'll be able to get a fairly good idea of how that camera will look in the glass-enclosed HM600 shots below.<div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/jvc-gy-hm600-advanced-handheld-camera-hands-on/">JVC GY-HM600 Advanced Handheld Camera hands-on</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/jvc-gy-hm600-advanced-handheld-camera-hands-on/#4969177"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2012/04/jv001_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/jvc-gy-hm600-advanced-handheld-camera-hands-on/#4969178"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2012/04/jv002_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/jvc-gy-hm600-advanced-handheld-camera-hands-on/#4969179"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2012/04/jv003_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/jvc-gy-hm600-advanced-handheld-camera-hands-on/#4969180"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2012/04/jv004_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/jvc-gy-hm600-advanced-handheld-camera-hands-on/#4969181"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2012/04/jv005_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div></p><p><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2012/04/17/jvc-gy-hm600-hm650-hands-on/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>JVC demos GY-HM600, launches HM650 Mobile News Camera with WiFi and FTP at NAB</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2012/04/17/jvc-gy-hm600-hm650-hands-on/">JVC demos GY-HM600, launches HM650 Mobile News Camera with WiFi and FTP at NAB</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Tue, 17 Apr 2012 15:15:00 EST. <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2012/01/10/jvcs-2012-everio-1080p-camcorder-lineup-wifi-geotagging/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2012/01/jvc-everio-2012.jpg" style="border-width: 0px; border-style: solid; margin: 4px;" /></a></div>
JVC's 2012 <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/Everio/">Everio</a> lineup was just launched, containing seven new models with 1080p recording based on the AVCHD format. There's also a UXP mode with a 24Mbps sampling rate, an HDMI output and a built-in WiFi module in four of the units. We've seen wireless support pop up on cameras in recent months, and even a few pocket camcorders have managed to get cozy with 802.11b/g/n, but it's not everyday you see a legitimate, Full HD shooter with the stuff. We're told that a free app will be made available for Android and iOS devices, enabling users to wirelessly transfer video and stills to a smartphone for quick sharing via the internet.<br />
<br />
It also allows the phone to be used as a remote control for the Everio and offers geotagging of video and photo files in conjunction with the smartphone's GPS. Not surprisingly, the video email function only allows clips of up to 15 seconds (and the resolution is capped at 640 x 360) to be sent directly from the Everio to up to eight email addresses, but at least the Live Monitoring functionality allows real time monitoring on a smartphone or computer of images taken with the cam. Prices for the lineup range from $229.95 to $899.95, with the whole lot shipping in Q1 of this year; the real question, however, is whether or not there's still a meaningful market for these things.<p><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2012/01/10/jvcs-2012-everio-1080p-camcorder-lineup-wifi-geotagging/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>JVC's 2012 Everio 1080p camcorder lineup gains WiFi, enables geotagging and remote control via smartphone</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2012/01/10/jvcs-2012-everio-1080p-camcorder-lineup-wifi-geotagging/">JVC's 2012 Everio 1080p camcorder lineup gains WiFi, enables geotagging and remote control via smartphone</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Tue, 10 Jan 2012 10:47:00 EST. <br />
	This curiously shaped fellow, with its long-barreled lens attached to a svelte body, might look <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2011/02/03/jvc-gc-px1-cant-decide-if-its-cam-or-camcorder-does-1080p60-v/">familiar</a>. It's <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/JVC/">JVC</a>'s GC-PX10, the camcorder that's also a camera. Or the camera that's also a camcorder. We're not quite sure, but here's what we do know: it'll shoot 1080p video at 60 fps, writing to <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/SDXC/">SDXC</a> or 32GB of internal memory. And it can <em>also </em>capture 8.3-megapixel stills at 60 fps without dropping out of video mode. If you've got the time and the inclination, you can switch into still-shooting mode, giving you full 12-megapixel pictures at 30 fps for two seconds. Exhausted by the possibilities yet? But wait, there's more. If slow motion's your game, you can fire away in 640 x 360 resolution -- at 300 fps -- for up to 2 hours. Now how much would you pay for such a plethora of pictorial options? Well, JVC's asking $900 when this ships later in October, so you've got some time to think about it.</div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2011/10/05/camera-or-camcorder-jvcs-hybrid-gc-px10-wants-to-be-both/">Camera or camcorder? <div style="text-align: left;">JVC promised <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2011/01/06/jvc-announces-the-gs-td1-full-hd-3d-consumer-camcorder-we-go-ha/">back at CES</a> that its new consumer-grade GS-TD1 3D camcorder would be available in March and, well, it's now available. While that may not be a surprise, JVC has shaken things up a bit with the pricing since its official announcement -- instead of the full $2,000 that was originally expected, the camcorder will now set you back "just" $1,699.95. That will buy you a pair of 3.32 megapixel CMOS sensor that record 3D video at 1080i, a 5x optical zoom (or 10x in 2D mode), 64GB of built-in flash memory along with an SDXC card slot for expansion, and a 3.5-inch LCD that lets you view your videos <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/nintendo3ds">3DS</a>-style without any glasses. Head on past the break for the complete press release.</div>

We missed <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/jvc">JVC</a>'s GX-PX1 camera when it was at <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/ces,2011">CES</a>, just a concept at that point but now getting more real. <em>Impress</em> got a little hands-on time with the curious model that features an incredibly slim, compact-like body behind a hunky, camcorder-like lens assembly. It'll do 1080p60 at 36Mbps, writing to <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/sdxc">SDXC</a> or 32GB of internal memory, can capture 10 megapixel stills and, if you don't mind stepping down to 640 x 360, will manage 300 frames per second. There's a tiltable LCD on the back and a 10x optically stabilized zoom lens up front. The camera is due to be released later this month, but JVC hasn't seen fit to tell us how much it'll cost just yet.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2011/02/03/jvc-gc-px1-cant-decide-if-its-cam-or-camcorder-does-1080p60-v/">JVC GC-PX1 can't decide if it's cam or camcorder, does 1080p60 video and 10.6 megapixel stills</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Thu, 03 Feb 2011 08:52:00 EST. At CES last week, the outfit's latest prototype was as small as we've ever seen, with that object shown here being capable of logging clips at 3840 x 2160 pixels. It's just barely bigger than the 1080p models already on store shelves, and it's equipped with new internal processors that are over twice as fast as the silicon used in the firm's current lineup. Sadly, we're no closer to learning a release date or price, but the results shown down in the source link have us all kinds of hopeful for something within the next dozen months. <i>Right, JVC</i>?<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2011/01/13/jvcs-4k-camcorder-inches-closer-to-reality-getting-smaller-all/">JVC's 4K camcorder inches closer to reality, getting smaller all the time</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Thu, 13 Jan 2011 15:15:00 EST. JVC's been a mainstay in the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/jvc,camcorder">handheld camcorder realm</a>, but along with <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/07/17/sony-intros-5mp-nsc-gc1-handheld-camcorder-for-the-youtube-crowd/">Sony</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2010/05/27/kodak-playsport-zx3-waterproof-hd-camera-review/">Kodak</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2010/05/31/sanyo-xacti-dmx-ca100-joins-the-waterproof-pocket-hd-camcorder/">Sanyo</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2010/07/28/samsung-unveils-wifi-enabled-st80-camera-swivel-friendly-e10-po/">Samsung</a> and just about every other consumer electronics company in operation today, it's recently decided to hop onboard the pocket camcorder bandwagon. Today, the firm is introducing a diminutive duo in the Picsio GC-WP10 and GC-FM2, both of which are capable of logging 1,920 x 1,080/30fps clips. There's also inbuilt image stabilization, an HDMI output, a 3-inch rear touchscreen, compatibility with EyeFi's WiFi-enabled SD cards and a time-lapse recording feature for speeding things up on the fly. The WP10 steps it up a notch by being encased in a waterproof enclosure, though the omission of an optical zoomer puts somewhat of a damper on things. The FM2 boasts a pop-out USB plug and the both of 'em tout an SD / SDHC / SDXC card slot; the WP10 also adds an MP3 audio recorder for good measure. Check the FM2 early next month for $179.95 and the WP10 in late September for $20 more, but be sure to visit that More Coverage link first for a translated review.<p><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2010/08/24/jvc-intros-picsio-gc-wp10-and-gc-fm2-1080p-pocket-camcorders/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>JVC intros Picsio GC-WP10 and GC-FM2 1080p pocket camcorders</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2010/08/24/jvc-intros-picsio-gc-wp10-and-gc-fm2-1080p-pocket-camcorders/">JVC intros Picsio GC-WP10 and GC-FM2 1080p pocket camcorders</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Tue, 24 Aug 2010 05:51:00 EST. <div style="text-align: left;">JVC's already rolled out a handful of new <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/everio">Everio</a> camcorders this year, and it's just now refreshed the top of the line with its new HD Everio GZ-HM1 video camera. This one will naturally give you full 1080p video recording (along with 10-megapixel still images), and you'll get some reasonably high-end features all around, including a Konica Minolta lens with a 10x optical zoom, optical image stabilization, 64GB of internal storage, an SDHC card slot for further expansion, a mic input and headphone output, and a full range of manual controls. Head on past the break for a video overview courtesy of JVC, and look for the camera itself to be availability immediately for $1,199.95.</div>

Ah, springtime. Ain't it beautiful? So beautiful, in fact, that you're apt to want to capture the flowers blooming and the kids playing around you, which is probably why <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/JVC/">JVC</a> finally decided to ship the Everio GZ-HM550 that it <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2010/01/08/jvc-busts-out-gz-hm1-hd-camcorder-lots-of-other-video-capturing/">announced</a> back at CES. As far as handheld camcorders go, it's one of the better specced models on the market, touting a 10.6 megapixel CMOS sensor, 32GB of inbuilt storage, an SD / SDHC expansion slot, an integrated Bluetooth module (for controlling the camera's play, zoom and record functions via cellphone) and geotagging support when used with a compatible BT phone. Oh, and users can even sync up a Bluetooth headset in order to monitor the recorded sound or input voice recordings. You'll also get 1080p recording, a 16x zoom and the ability to snag 9 megapixel stills, all for the low, low price of $799.95. Go ahead -- step your YouTube game <em>way</em> up.<p><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2010/03/21/jvc-ships-bluetooth-packin-geotagging-everio-gz-hm550-camcorde/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>JVC ships Bluetooth-packin', geotagging Everio GZ-HM550 camcorder</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2010/03/21/jvc-ships-bluetooth-packin-geotagging-everio-gz-hm550-camcorde/">JVC ships Bluetooth-packin', geotagging Everio GZ-HM550 camcorder</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Sun, 21 Mar 2010 10:41:00 EST. Too busy to deal with 8mm, DVDs or VHS tapes? Who isn't, right? <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/JVC/">JVC</a> is looking to erase the tragic memories of converting your home videos to a format that someone could use by introducing the newest member of the Everio <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/camcorder/">camcorder</a> family: the GZ-HM340. Stocked with 16GB of internal Flash memory, a 20x optical Konica Minolta zoom lens, 1.37 megapixel CMOS sensor, image stabilization, one-touch upload to YouTube, face detection and an SD / SDHC expansion slot, this bad boy is set to land later in the month for a nickle under $500. Here's hoping it captures to something other than AVCHD, but our gut tells us this might be one dream that doesn't come true.<p><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2010/02/02/jvc-trots-out-everio-gz-hm340-hd-camcorder-with-16gb-of-internal/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>JVC trots out Everio GZ-HM340 HD camcorder with 16GB of internal storage</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2010/02/02/jvc-trots-out-everio-gz-hm340-hd-camcorder-with-16gb-of-internal/">JVC trots out Everio GZ-HM340 HD camcorder with 16GB of internal storage</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Tue, 02 Feb 2010 13:17:00 EST. JVC's jumping in on the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/CES/">CES</a> fun today with a whole slew of new camcorders, with the GZ-HM1 HD Everio leading the pack. This 1080p shooter offers up better-than-usual low light performance and camera-shake compensation. There's a 10.62 megapixel CMOS sensor within, though we imagine the $1,199.95 price tag will stun those who aren't looking for something fancy when it ships in March. The February-bound GZ-HM550 capture 1080p while offering up a 16x zoom, 32GB of internal flash memory, an SD / SDHC card slot, Bluetooth (for geotagging, naturally) and a $799.95 price tag. In case that guy is still too rich for your blood, JVC's offering up no fewer than eight other guys that range from $229.95 to $649.95, all of which should be out by next month. Peek those sources below if you're on the hunt for the nitty-gritty details.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2010/01/08/jvc-busts-out-gz-hm1-hd-camcorder-lots-of-other-video-capturing/">JVC busts out GZ-HM1 HD camcorder, lots of other video capturing devices</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Fri, 08 Jan 2010 05:11:00 EST. <div style="text-align: left;">Whether you want them to or not, there's a good chance you've got a family member or two (or more) that feel compelled to capture every single moment on video, including those times when all you're doing is sitting around watching previously recorded memories. Sure, JVC's new Picsio GC-FM1 pocket video camera has the specs to complete with the likes of Flip Video's <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2009/04/30/flip-video-ultra-hd-video-review/">Ultra HD</a> and other <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2009/07/29/kodaks-zi8-hd-pocket-camcorder-hits-the-1080p-mark-adds-facebo/">similar offerings</a> (1080p video, 8-megapixel stills, a 2-inch LCD, and HDMI out), but it also has a little something extra, something rarely seen in the world of anthropomorphized products since they heyday of the California Raisins: showmanship. Still no word on a North American appearance just yet, unfortunately but it looks like the camera will run around &yen;20,000 (or about $220) when it hits Japan by the end of the month. In the meantime, we're sure the video after the break will more than tide you over.<br /><br />[Via <a href="http://www.akihabaranews.com/en/news_details.php?id=18968">Akihabara News</a>]<br /></div><p><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2009/09/25/jvc-picsio-gc-fm1-video-camera-flips-out-for-its-debut/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>JVC Picsio GC-FM1 video camera flips out for its debut</em></a></p><p>Filed under: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/digitalcameras/" rel="tag">Digital Cameras</a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2009/09/25/jvc-picsio-gc-fm1-video-camera-flips-out-for-its-debut/">JVC Picsio GC-FM1 video camera flips out for its debut</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Fri, 25 Sep 2009 14:02:00 EST. <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/JVC/">JVC</a> introduced its HD Everio GZ-HM400 in Japan <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2009/07/30/jvc-issues-everio-gz-hm400-full-hd-camcorder-in-japan/">way back in late July</a>, but at long last, the time has come for the Yanks in attendance to grab one as their own. Shipping now (as in,<em> right now</em>) here on US soil, the Full HD camcorder packs a 10.3 megapixel sensor, 32GB of internal storage, an SD / SDHC expansion slot and the ability to capture stills at 9 megapixels. Over on the video side, users will have access to a trio of slow-motion recording modes (600fps, 300fps and 120fps), though we can't express in mere words how disheartened we are to hear that this thing utilizes the thoroughly worthless AVCHD format. Lookie here -- time for yet another <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/camcorders/">HD camcorder</a> in the quickly expanding Everio family. Launched today in the Land of the Rising Sun, the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/JVC/">JVC</a> Everio GZ-HM400 is a Full HD shooter with a 10.3 megapixel CMOS sensor, 2.8-inch flip-out LCD, 32GB of built-in storage, an SD / SDHC expansion slot, HDMI output, a 10x optical zoom and a fairly preposterous (in a good way) 600fps slo-mo mode, just like that ultra-sleek <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2009/03/03/jvcs-new-everio-x-gz-x900-does-1080p-video-9-megapixel-stills/">GZ-X900</a> we peeked back in March. The unit can also snap 9 megapixel still shots and hold nearly three hours of Full HD content before needing a USB-led cleansing. Indeed, this here camcorder mimics the aforesaid GZ-X900 in pretty much every way save for design, and it's expected on Japanese store shelves early next month for &yen;110,000 ($1,157).<br /><br />[Via <a href="http://www.akihabaranews.com/en/news_details.php?id=18577">Akihabara News</a>]<br /><br /><a href="http://74.125.159.132/translate_c?hl=en&amp;ie=UTF-8&amp;sl=ja&amp;tl=en&amp;u=http://www.jvc-victor.co.jp/press/2009/gz-hm400.html&amp;rurl=translate.google.com&amp;usg=ALkJrhguBzi4TKYVk2xiwXxzDEGvnxU_2Q">Read</a> - JVC press release<br /><a href="http://translate.google.com/translate?u=http%3A%2F%2Fav.watch.impress.co.jp%2Fdocs%2Fnews%2F20090730_305624.html&amp;sl=ja&amp;tl=en&amp;hl=en&amp;ie=UTF-8">Read</a> - Hands-on shots<p><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2009/07/30/jvc-issues-everio-gz-hm400-full-hd-camcorder-in-japan/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>JVC issues Everio GZ-HM400 Full HD camcorder in Japan</em></a></p><p>Filed under: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/jvc/" rel="tag">JVC</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/camcorders/" rel="tag">Camcorders</a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2009/07/30/jvc-issues-everio-gz-hm400-full-hd-camcorder-in-japan/">JVC issues Everio GZ-HM400 Full HD camcorder in Japan</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Thu, 30 Jul 2009 04:14:00 EST. Lookie here -- time for yet another <a href="http://www.engadgethd.com/category/camcorders/">HD camcorder</a> in the quickly expanding Everio family. Indeed, this here camcorder mimics the aforesaid GZ-X900 in pretty much every way save for design, and it's expected on Japanese store shelves early next month for &yen;110,000 ($1,157).<br /><br />[Via <a href="http://www.akihabaranews.com/en/news_details.php?id=18577">Akihabara News</a>]<br /><br /><a href="http://74.125.159.132/translate_c?hl=en&amp;ie=UTF-8&amp;sl=ja&amp;tl=en&amp;u=http://www.jvc-victor.co.jp/press/2009/gz-hm400.html&amp;rurl=translate.google.com&amp;usg=ALkJrhguBzi4TKYVk2xiwXxzDEGvnxU_2Q">Read</a> - JVC press release<br /><a href="http://translate.google.com/translate?u=http%3A%2F%2Fav.watch.impress.co.jp%2Fdocs%2Fnews%2F20090730_305624.html&amp;sl=ja&amp;tl=en&amp;hl=en&amp;ie=UTF-8">Read</a> - Hands-on shots<p><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2009/07/30/jvc-issues-everio-gz-hm400-full-hd-camcorder-in-japan/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>JVC issues Everio GZ-HM400 Full HD camcorder in Japan</em></a></p><p>Filed under: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/digitalcameras/" rel="tag">Digital Cameras</a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2009/07/30/jvc-issues-everio-gz-hm400-full-hd-camcorder-in-japan/">JVC issues Everio GZ-HM400 Full HD camcorder in Japan</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Thu, 30 Jul 2009 04:14:00 EST. Aw, snap. Just when you thought the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/4k/">4K</a> market couldn't get any more dominated by <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/red">RED and the gang</a>, along comes JVC to shake things up. For reasons unknown, the company has chosen now (and not a few weeks back at <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/nab">NAB</a>) to unleash its <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2009/04/20/panasonic-developing-1080p-twin-lens-p2-camcorder-for-native-3d/">prototype</a> 4K and 8K camcorders, both of which boast D-ILA technology and can capture clips at a downright mind-blowing 8,912 x 4,320 or 3,840 x 2,160 resolution. There's also a more "compact" sibling which does 4K only, but even it provides plenty of pixels to zoom and pan in unprecedented clarity on. So JVC -- you, us, CEDIA 2009. It's a date, cool?<br /> <br /> <strong>Update</strong>: More details <a href="http://pro.jvc.com/pro/pr/2009/nab/kyf4000.html">here</a>. JVC's new "Everio X" GZ-X900 camcorder is just what we like in a flagship device: incredible style, crazy specs, and awesome slow motion video of us slapping people. The GZ-X900 reworks the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/Everio/">Everio</a> line into a new brick-like form factor that's bordering on the shape of camcorders of yore, but JVC puts a nice twist to it, and the camera is obviously very compact. JVC used some "premium materials" in the construction and it really shows, but what's more exciting is the high-end 1080p resolution, with 1000 "TV lines" to sample from (it's not upscaling from a completely bum source like many compact camcorders). The unit also works as a fast-action still camera, for 9 megapixel shots at 15 fps, and 5.3 megapixel shots at 60 fps. What we're really wild about is the 600 fps slow motion, which operates at a 640 x 72 resolution -- you can get more pixels at slower frame rates. Unfortunately, none of this good stuff comes cheap: the camera hits retail in June for an even $1000.<br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/jvcs-new-everio-x-gz-x900-does-1080p-video-9-megapixel-stills-600-fps-slow-motion/">JVC's new Everio X GZ-X900 does 1080p video, 9 megapixel stills, 600 fps slow motion</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/jvcs-new-everio-x-gz-x900-does-1080p-video-9-megapixel-stills-600-fps-slow-motion/#1401950"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2009/03/everio-x-stuff-001_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/jvcs-new-everio-x-gz-x900-does-1080p-video-9-megapixel-stills-600-fps-slow-motion/#1401949"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2009/03/everio-x-stuff-002_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/jvcs-new-everio-x-gz-x900-does-1080p-video-9-megapixel-stills-600-fps-slow-motion/#1401946"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2009/03/everio-x-stuff-003_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/jvcs-new-everio-x-gz-x900-does-1080p-video-9-megapixel-stills-600-fps-slow-motion/#1401945"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2009/03/everio-x-stuff-004_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/jvcs-new-everio-x-gz-x900-does-1080p-video-9-megapixel-stills-600-fps-slow-motion/#1401948"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2009/03/everio-x-stuff-005_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p>Filed under: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/jvc/" rel="tag">JVC</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/camcorders/" rel="tag">Camcorders</a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2009/03/03/jvcs-new-everio-x-gz-x900-does-1080p-video-9-megapixel-stills/">JVC's new Everio X GZ-X900 does 1080p video, 9 megapixel stills, 600 fps slow motion</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Tue, 03 Mar 2009 16:38:00 EST. Unfortunately, none of this good stuff comes cheap: the camera hits retail in June for an even $1000.<br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/jvcs-new-everio-x-gz-x900-does-1080p-video-9-megapixel-stills-600-fps-slow-motion/">JVC's new Everio X GZ-X900 does 1080p video, 9 megapixel stills, 600 fps slow motion</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/jvcs-new-everio-x-gz-x900-does-1080p-video-9-megapixel-stills-600-fps-slow-motion/#1401950"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2009/03/everio-x-stuff-001_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/jvcs-new-everio-x-gz-x900-does-1080p-video-9-megapixel-stills-600-fps-slow-motion/#1401949"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2009/03/everio-x-stuff-002_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/jvcs-new-everio-x-gz-x900-does-1080p-video-9-megapixel-stills-600-fps-slow-motion/#1401946"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2009/03/everio-x-stuff-003_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/jvcs-new-everio-x-gz-x900-does-1080p-video-9-megapixel-stills-600-fps-slow-motion/#1401945"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2009/03/everio-x-stuff-004_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/jvcs-new-everio-x-gz-x900-does-1080p-video-9-megapixel-stills-600-fps-slow-motion/#1401948"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2009/03/everio-x-stuff-005_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p>Filed under: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/digitalcameras/" rel="tag">Digital Cameras</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/hdtv/" rel="tag">HDTV</a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2009/03/03/jvcs-new-everio-x-gz-x900-does-1080p-video-9-megapixel-stills/">JVC's new Everio X GZ-X900 does 1080p video, 9 megapixel stills, 600 fps slow motion</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Tue, 03 Mar 2009 16:38:00 EST. Before buying either the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/JVC/">JVC</a> GY-HM100 / GY-HM700, you better be darn well married to Apple's Final Cut Pro. Said ProHD camcorders are the industry's first in the solid state line to store files in native QuickTime format onto SDHC cards. Apple's pushing the fact that users don't have to transcode or re-wrap prior to editing, and considering that each one cam can hold twin SDHC cards, you'll be able to capture a maximum of 64GB before needing to reload. And just think, this time next year the successor will hit with dual <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/SDXC/">SDXC</a> support, giving buyers a maximum capacity of 4TB. JVC's busting out a veritable plethora of camcorders today, with three in particular catching our eyes. The 60GB GZ-HD300, 120GB GZ-HD320 and the dual SD slot-packin' GZ-HM200 all record in Full HD and feature a 3.05 megapixel CMOS image sensor. If you're into the SD gig, it has five other models within the Everio G series and Everio S series, and the whole family will include a One Touch Export function that enables videos to be imported into iTunes and loaded directly onto an iPod / iPhone. Expect 'em all to be available by March at the latest for between $299.95 and $799.95.<p>Filed under: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/other-hardware/" rel="tag">Other hardware</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/jvc/" rel="tag">JVC</a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2009/01/07/jvc-lays-out-2009-line-of-everio-camcorders-at-ces/">JVC lays out 2009 line of Everio camcorders at CES</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Wed, 07 Jan 2009 12:09:00 EST. <div align="left">It looks like JVC has added a pair of dual hard drive / microSDHC cameras to its Everio lineup. Currently available in Japan, both the GZ-MG840 (60GB) and GZ-MG860 (120GB) count among their features 720 x 480 wide format image capture, 42x optical zoom, image stabilization and the seemingly ubiquitous YouTube mode. Shooting at DVD quality, the 120GB model can hold over 28 hours of MPEG-2 footage, or just shy of 2 hours on an 8GB microSDHC card. Available in blue, red, or silver, the cameras are not yet slated for Stateside release, but the GZ-MG880 has been seen going for &yen;75,000 ($816), while the GZ-MG840 can be yours for about &yen;70,000 ($761).<br /><br />[Via <a href="http://www.electronista.com/articles/08/12/11/jvc.everio.mg880.and.mg840/">Electronista</a>]<br /><br /><a href="http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&amp;ie=UTF-8&amp;u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.jvc-victor.co.jp%2Fdvmain%2Fgz-mg840%2F&amp;sl=ja&amp;tl=en&amp;history_state0=">Read</a> - <span style="" onmouseover="_tipon(this)" onmouseout="_tipoff()">GZ-MG840</span><br /><span style="" onmouseover="_tipon(this)" onmouseout="_tipoff()"><a href="http://www.jvc-victor.co.jp/dvmain/gz-mg880/">Read</a> - GZ-MG880</span><br /><span style="" onmouseover="_tipon(this)" onmouseout="_tipoff()"></span></div>

<div align="left">Just last month, we had the absolute pleasure of <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2008/06/17/samsung-sc-hmx20c-hd-camcorder-review/">reviewing Samsung's SC-HMX20C</a> -- which, if you couldn't tell, we really liked. This month, JVC's <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2008/07/04/hands-on-and-unboxing-jvc-everio-hd40-camcorder/">GZ-HD40 arrived</a>, and we set out to put it through the same paces. Upon ripping the box open and wrapping our paws around it for the first time, we were simultaneously pleased with how light it felt and somewhat dismayed by the bulky design. Still, there's more to a camcorder than external pizazz, so join us after the break as we test out this dual-format device on a fantastic weekend filled with sun, sand and sunburn.<br /></div>

Engadget HD managed to acquire one of JVC's <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2008/06/16/jvcs-trio-of-avchd-and-mpeg-2-ts-1080i-everio-camcorders/">Everio HD40 camcorders</a> -- you know, that HD shooter with 120GB of onboard storage. If you're interested in seeing it get unboxed and manhandled (along with comparison shots with Samsung's delightful <a href="http://www.engadgethd.com/2008/06/17/samsung-sc-hmx20c-hd-camcorder-review/">SC-HMX20C</a>), click <a href="http://www.engadgethd.com/2008/07/04/hands-on-and-unboxing-jvc-everio-hd40-camcorder/">on over</a> and enjoy. For those wanting some serious impressions, keep a check on this space -- we'll be forming some opinions and penning a review here shortly.<p>Filed under: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/digitalcameras/" rel="tag">Digital Cameras</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/hdtv/" rel="tag">HDTV</a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2008/07/04/engadget-hd-goes-hands-on-with-jvcs-everio-hd40-camcorder/">Engadget HD goes hands-on with JVC's Everio HD40 camcorder</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Fri, 04 Jul 2008 20:03:00 EST. We got a chance to peek JVC's <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2008/06/16/jvcs-trio-of-avchd-and-mpeg-2-ts-1080i-everio-camcorders/">latest line of Everio camcorders</a> in a controlled environment <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2008/06/17/jvc-everio-hd10-hd30-and-hd40-hands-on/">a few weeks back</a>, but we finally managed to snag a retail HD40 (that's the flagship model in this series) and take it off to our own special corner. Of course, we tackled the first things first: unboxing and hands-on. Early impressions are that the unit is surprisingly light, though it's on the bulky side. Granted, there <em>is</em> 120GB of storage in there, so it may be a fair trade off for some. We're letting the battery charge up and plan to shoot some video with it over the weekend; we'll be writing up a full review here shortly. 'Til then, enjoy the gallery below (complete with comparison shots with the impressive <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2008/06/17/samsung-sc-hmx20c-hd-camcorder-review/">Samsung SC-HMX20C</a>).<br /><br />

As chance would have it, Philips wasn't the only outfit in the Big Apple <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2008/06/17/engadget-goes-hands-on-with-new-philips-and-dlo-gear/">showing off new kit today</a>. We got a quick look at JVC's new AVCHD camcorders today, the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2008/06/16/jvcs-trio-of-avchd-and-mpeg-2-ts-1080i-everio-camcorders/">GD-HD40, GZ-HD30 and GZ-HD10</a>. Of note, the HD40 comes complete with a dock for extra hookups like FireWire, and the HD40 and HD30 can shoot video in MPEG-2 for higher quality and easier editing. JVC has done some serious work on noise reduction on all of the cameras, but from the samples shown, it comes at the cost of detail -- some of the vids we saw looked more like watercolors or 3D renders than true video. Hopefully that's something you'll be able to configure to your liking, and we're glad JVC is leaving MPEG-2 on here to avoid compression that might exacerbate the problem further. That said, most users are going to be very pleased with the kind of color and low noise they can get at night or in badly-lit rooms. The cameras are certainly small for their feature sets, but at about a pound apiece they feel pretty heavy for their size. Otherwise the build is standard JVC fare -- not too fancy, not too plain. We also got a chance to peep some over JVC's other new consumer gear, so check it out in the gallery below.<br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/jvc-everio-hd10-hd30-and-hd40-hands-on/">JVC Everio HD10, HD30 and HD40 hands-on</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/jvc-everio-hd10-hd30-and-hd40-hands-on/#868206"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2008/06/jvc-hands-000_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/jvc-everio-hd10-hd30-and-hd40-hands-on/#868207"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2008/06/jvc-hands-001_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/jvc-everio-hd10-hd30-and-hd40-hands-on/#868252"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2008/06/jvc-hands-002_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/jvc-everio-hd10-hd30-and-hd40-hands-on/#868235"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2008/06/jvc-hands-003_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/jvc-everio-hd10-hd30-and-hd40-hands-on/#868212"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2008/06/jvc-hands-004_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p>Filed under: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/digitalcameras/" rel="tag">Digital Cameras</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/hdtv/" rel="tag">HDTV</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/portablevideo/" rel="tag">Portable Video</a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2008/06/17/jvc-everio-hd10-hd30-and-hd40-hands-on/">JVC Everio HD10, HD30 and HD40 hands-on</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Tue, 17 Jun 2008 20:14:00 EST. JVC's disk-based Everio lineup of HD camcorders are being met by a trio of newcomers this morning. The 120GB GD-HD40 ($1,300) and 80GB GZ-HD30 ($1,000) offer 10- and 6-hours of full 1,920 x 1,080 / 17Mbps AVCHD recordings, respectively, from a 1/3-inch, 2.68 megapixel CMOS sensor -- a first for the previously all-CCD based family. They can also record in an editing software-friendly 27Mbps MPEG-2 TS format if desired. The AVCHD-only GZ-HD10 ($800) model scales back the disk to 40GB, the lens, LCD, and sensor to achieve the lower price tag. All three offer 10x, Konica Minolta HD optical zoom lenses, an accessory shoe, up-converted 1080/60p HDMI out, and a microSDHC slot. Available in August, that's when.<p>Filed under: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/industry/" rel="tag">Industry</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/recorders/" rel="tag">Recorders</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/jvc/" rel="tag">JVC</a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2008/06/16/jvcs-trio-of-avchd-and-mpeg-2-ts-1080i-everio-camcorders/">JVC's trio of AVCHD 1080i Everio hard disk camcorders</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Mon, 16 Jun 2008 06:14:00 EST. If you've been feeling like those videos you've been making of you and your friends dancing to "Lipgloss" haven't been landing on YouTube fast enough, JVC has got you covered. The company is launching the new Everio S Series GZ-MS100 camcorder, a cheapo model designed to get your clips onto the internet as fast as humanly possible. Utilizing CyberLink software and a dedicated "upload" button on the camera, you can share your embarrassing moments with the world in no time at all. The GZ-MS100 records to SD card, features touch sensitive buttons and scroll-bar, and retails for the ultra-affordable price of $349.99. In June, all of your grainy, pixelated dreams can come true.<p>Filed under: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/digitalcameras/" rel="tag">Digital Cameras</a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2008/05/19/jvcs-new-everio-s-series-gz-ms100-camcorder-does-youtube-littl/">JVC's new Everio S Series GZ-MS100 camcorder does YouTube, little else</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Mon, 19 May 2008 12:12:00 EST. We already witnessed the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/12/20/jvcs-gd-d850-baby-movie-camcorder-with-man-sized-35x-zoom/">overseas announcement</a> of JVC's palm-friendly GR-D850, but now it looks as if the firm is making it official here in the US of A along with a slightly (and we stress "slightly") more advanced sibling. The GR-D870 High-Band Digital Video Camera features the same 1/6-inch 680k pixel CCD, 35x optical zoom, 2.7-inch LCD monitor, DV in / out and 3D Noise Reducer, but steps it up ever so slightly by tossing in a SD / MMC card slot for snapping digital stills (up to 640 x 480) while recording footage to miniDV. So yeah, nothing to get too antsy about or anything, but the GR-D870 can be snapped up immediately for a nickel under $250, while the GR-D850 will run you $20 less.<br /><br />[Via <a href="http://www.letsgodigital.org/en/18305/jvc-mini-dv-camcorder/">LetsGoDigital</a>]<br /><br />

Mmm, you can almost smell all those pixels from your cubical chair, now can't you? JVC's getting our minds in a tizzy today with two new HD camcorders that are compact for carrying and big on resolution. Both the GZ-HD5 (available in black and silver) and the GZ-HD6 (just silver) each capture video at 1,920 x 1,080 and feature Genessa technology, HDMI, component, i.LINK and mini-USB connectors, an SDHC slot and audio in / out to boot. The only major difference between the two is the internal hard drive: with the HD5, you'll get 60GB to store all sorts of antics on, while you can double that with the extra capacious HD6. As predicted, each device is touting that elusive open offer price tag for now, but considering that we've only a fortnight before they hit the streets, we suppose we'll know soon enough.<br /><br />[Via <a href="http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&amp;sl=ja&amp;u=http://www.watch.impress.co.jp/av/docs/20080129/victor.htm&amp;sa=X&amp;oi=translate&amp;resnum=3&amp;ct=result&amp;prev=/search%3Fq%3D%2BGZ-HD5%2Bimpress%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DG">Impress</a>]<p>Filed under: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/other-hardware/" rel="tag">Other hardware</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/jvc/" rel="tag">JVC</a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2008/01/29/jvcs-everio-gz-hd5-gz-hd6-hd-camcorders-do-1080p-with-ease/">JVC's Everio GZ-HD5 / GZ-HD6 HD camcorders do 1080i with ease</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Tue, 29 Jan 2008 10:21:00 EST. As predicted, each device is touting that elusive open offer price tag for now, but considering that we've only a fortnight before they hit the streets, we suppose we'll know soon enough.<br /> <br /> [Via <a href="http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&amp;sl=ja&amp;u=http://www.watch.impress.co.jp/av/docs/20080129/victor.htm&amp;sa=X&amp;oi=translate&amp;resnum=3&amp;ct=result&amp;prev=/search%3Fq%3D%2BGZ-HD5%2Bimpress%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DG">Impress</a>]<p>Filed under: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/digitalcameras/" rel="tag">Digital Cameras</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/hdtv/" rel="tag">HDTV</a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2008/01/29/jvcs-everio-gz-hd5-gz-hd6-hd-camcorders-do-1080p-with-ease/">JVC's Everio GZ-HD5 / GZ-HD6 HD camcorders do 1080i with ease</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Tue, 29 Jan 2008 10:21:00 EST. We're not sure why JVC didn't announce their new Everio &yen;100,000 GZ-MG740 (about $942) last week with all their other models. Nevertheless, the new 40GB peer to the 30GB <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2008/01/06/jvc-busts-out-five-new-hdd-based-everio-g-series-camcorders/">GZ-MG730</a> was just announced in Japan. Other than the disk bump (and "Victor" not "JVC" badge), it's a spec-for-spec twin to the 7.38-megapixel model MG730 which shoots 720 x 480 pixel video -- right on down to that tiny 1.3-inch hard disk. That makes it the flagship model of their non-HD shooters. But you don't really care about non-HD camcorders anymore do you? No worries, we can respect that.<p>Filed under: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/digitalcameras/" rel="tag">Digital Cameras</a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2008/01/16/jvcs-everio-gz-mg740-adds-10gb-more-disk-calls-itself-king/">JVC's Everio GZ-MG740 adds 10GB more disk, calls itself king</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Wed, 16 Jan 2008 08:02:00 EST. If you've been scouting a new camcorder, JVC is kicking out five new models for you to consider, so we'll get right to it. The entire Everio G Series boast a Laser Touch Operation user interface -- explained as "a touch-sensitive illuminated scroll bar just to the left of the LCD monitor screen" -- that gets shown on the 2.7-inch widescreen LCD. Furthermore, the family includes four models (GZ-MG330, GZ-MG335, GZ-MG360, GZ-MG365) with a 680K-pixel CCD sensor and 30GB / 60GB HDDs along with a 30GB flagship unit (GZ-MG730) with a 7.38-megapixel CCD with Primary Color Filter. As for pricing, these newcomers will run you $449.99, $499.99, $549.99, $599.99 and $799.99, respectively, and they'll hit store shelves by next month. For a more complete rundown on specs (and a look at two other hues), take a peek after the jump.<p><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2008/01/06/jvc-busts-out-five-new-hdd-based-everio-g-series-camcorders/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>JVC busts out five new HDD-based Everio G Series camcorders</em></a></p><p>Filed under: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/digitalcameras/" rel="tag">Digital Cameras</a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2008/01/06/jvc-busts-out-five-new-hdd-based-everio-g-series-camcorders/">JVC busts out five new HDD-based Everio G Series camcorders</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Sun, 06 Jan 2008 11:01:00 EST.
