Here's what you get in Kirby: 20th Anniversary Special Collection
Nintendo has been pretty quiet about that anniversary collection of Kirby games for the Wii ever since it was announced way back in April, but now the full list of games included in the collection, as well as the collection's Japanese title, have been released by Famitsu and translated into English by Andriasang.Kirby: 20th Anniversary Special Collection will include Kirby's Dream Land, Kirby's Dream Land 2, Kirby's Adventure, Kirby Super Star, Kirby's Dream Land 3 and Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards. The collection also includes a timeline and soundtrack, and will launch in Japan on July 19, according to Andriasang. Alas, no North American release information has surfaced as of yet.
Kirby's Pinball Land rated in Australia
Kirby's Pinball Land, which as you'll recall was a Game Boy title from the early 90s, has been given a "General" rating by the Australian Classification Board, which is completely unsurprisingly given the game's adorable subject matter. What is surprising, however, is the fact that this game was classified at all, considering the fact that it hasn't really been announced or anything.It's possible that Kirby's Pinball Land is coming to the eShop in the land down under, but it's also possible that the game could be included in that 20th anniversary collection Nintendo announced last month. Either way, classification is usually a precursor to an official announcement, so we'll keep out eyes peeled for press releases with fluffy pink letterhead.
Nintendo celebrates Kirby's 20th Anniversary on Wii
Opening up the Nintendo Direct conference livestream, Nintendo president Satoru Iwata revealed the company has big plans to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Kirby. A new Wii game will collect past titles and package them on a retail disc – which classic Kirby titles would be included is a mystery.Outside of the existence of Kirby's 20th Anniversary on Wii, nothing else is known right now.
