A couple of additional tidbits came out of this week's NCsoft earnings call that are relevant to fans of Lineage and WildStar. The studio said that it is preparing to roll out the beta schedule of Lineage Eternal, the third title in the series, by the end of this year. Lineage Eternal was announced in 2011, but we've heard precious little about the game since. The publisher also said that it's taking a close look at the performance of WildStar's closed beta testing and will use testing results to shape its plans for the launch. Previously, Carbine Studios said that it's aiming for a 2013 launch window for the title if all went well in the beta.

  • Future Sidekicks: LX and LE?

There's growing evidence in the ever-vigilant Sidekick community to support the suggestion that Danger will be rocking out with not one, not two, but a whole bounty of new models in the coming year. Unfortunately, we still don't really know with certainty what's what -- there's a device being referred to as the "Slide" (which may also be the "Zante"), there's likely a Sidekick 4 in there somewhere (which may or may not be the same thing as the Slide), and now we have the "LX" and "LE" to worry about. A series of posts over on Hiptop3.com has managed to gather evidence suggesting that a Sidekick LX and Sidekick LE are both on the way; if the leaked T-Mobile document wasn't enough proof, it turns out that the carrier has secured the rights to the domains sidekicklx.com and sidekickle.com. There's seems to be a lot of hardware in play here from Sharp and Motorola so we're going to keep the speculation to a minimum, but it seems Danger's doing alright for itself, eh?[Thanks, Ed]

This is simply the coolest limited-edition box in recent memory. Forget the European Resident Evil 4 box. This Japanese Biohazard box is the business. For 3,675 yen, which is a suspiciously low $30, you get an awesome 20-DVD-capacity Umbrella Corporation biohazard storage box (itself inside an Umbrella Corporation shipping box), two keys, warning tags, and caution tape to seal it up. With a case this cool, who even needs a game? You could always buy this and RE4 Wii Edition and build your own limited edition set.[Via The Tanooki]

  • Bungie comments on Legendary price point

While Bungie's Weekly Update had a slew of goodies for you to get excited about Halo 3, they also touched on the $30 increase in price for the Legendary Edition. They more or less apologized for the misleading initial price point, and assured us that the final product will be definitely worth every penny, especially to those who are die hard Halo fans. They even revealed that the Legendary Edition is limited enough to warrant Bungie staff pre-ordering their own copies, and that each one is individually numbered. So, with that coming from them, does it change your opinion on the thirty dollar discrepancy?
