Every week, WoW Insider brings you Encrypted Text for assassination, combat and subtlety rogues. Chase Christian will be your guide to the world of shadows every Wednesday. Feel free to email me with any questions or article suggestions you'd like to see covered here. The new poison system that's being implemented in Mists of Pandaria might seem like a fairly major revamp for a class that's typically seen very little change between expansions. The conversion of poisons from items to skills and the new lethal/non-lethal categorization is a massive update compared to what we saw between Wrath and Cataclysm. A rogue's ability to provide utility in a raid environment is being expanded dramatically and has always been a weakness of ours. The truth is that those changes pale in comparison to the other poison updates due in Mists. While not carrying poisons around in our bags is simply a quality of life change, obtaining new poisons for the first time in years will have a much larger impact. The poison crit system, which has been fundamentally flawed since its inception, is being redone properly. Shiv is actually going to be back on every rogue's hotbar. Poisoning both weapons at once is merely chump change, while the rebirth of random stuns deserves the loudest possible heralding.

Looking for more information on Rift: Planes of Telara? Well, first you should check out our exclusive hands-on, direct from Gamer Day II. After you've digested that, MMORPG.com has some interesting info regarding the newly announced Archon soul, a support specialist class that allows you to convert your opponent's strength and energy into usable magic. Trion's new twist on the traditional mage archetype focuses on buffing friends and allies and is a formidable combatant in its own right. That said, the Archons can also be quite vulnerable, especially during the period just after they've infused allies with their life force (and just prior to feeding off an enemy to regain their strength). Check out some background lore as well as a few class particulars at MMORPG.com.

Leech is a download manager from Many Tricks that seems to take a "less is more" approach to controlling downloads. With the newly released version 1.1 it integrates with Safari, Camino, and OmniWeb via a SIMBL plugin (or, as some insist, hack), allowing it to take over downloads from any of those browsers. In addition to pausing and resuming downloads, Leech also features a rule based system that allows you to control what happens to files once they're downloaded, filing them to different folders or opening them in different applications according to file type. It also features drag and drop of URLs onto its Dock icon, Keychain integration, and a full searchable history menu.Leech is €9.95 (~$15) and a demo is available. Registered users of other download managers can get a 30% off coupon.

1UP reports that Final Fantasy XII is being illegally distributed via bit torrent, with multiple bit torrent user comments confirming that the torrents house playable English versions of Square Enix's RPG. In response to the alleged leak, the site has issued the following PSA:"Forgetting that pirating is a criminal activity, 'Final Fantasy XII' is supposed to be an absolutely incredible RPG -- we strongly encourage gamers to wait a few more weeks for the real game to properly reward Square Enix for their labored work."We can't think of a better way to put it. Keep it real right, y'all!
