Don't Look Up is somewhat uneven and a bit too long, but it's also a battlecry against the anti-science, fact-phobic reality we're living through today.

Amid a wave of announcements Monday, Hulu revealed The Handmaid's Tale will return on June 5th. As such, it will won't compete at this year's Emmys. It lost out to Game of Thrones the last time the shows went head to head, and the final season of HBO's show starts in April (though Hulu said moving the premiere from its typical early spring slot to June wasn't specifically about Emmy competition).

  • Oppo announces X903 smartphone, leaves Leonardo DiCaprio confused (video)

Oppo, beloved maker of a variety of electronics rarely released outside of China, is jumping into the smartphone business with an Android-powered slider called the Oppo X903. Take the following specs with a pinch of salt, but the device is believed to have a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8255 CPU and comes with an eight megapixel camera and a 3.97-inch WVGA IPS screen. So far, so normal -- what's not normal is the ad campaign for the phone, in which a bemused Leonardo DiCaprio stares glumly out of a moving train as a woman writes "find me" in condensation on a perfectly clean window. That's right after the break and you won't have to look too hard to find press shots of the phone itself either. They're down there in the gallery. %Gallery-130726%

  • Titanic 3D re-release scheduled for April 2012, 100 years after the ship set sail

Before James Cameron was all about 3D he did a few features you may have heard of, including some indie project called Titanic that happens to be the second highest grossing movie of all time. Now, that flick is going to return to theaters and of course, it's in 3D. He's been working on the conversion for several years and says it "will be Titanic as you've never seen it before, digitally re-mastered at 4K and painstakingly converted to 3D." This is certainly no Clash of the Titans rush job, but as much as viewers loved Leo & Kate the first time around, whether or not they fill up movie houses again on April 6, 2012 (and for the Star Wars 3D re-releases) will either lift or crush the potential for conversions and 3D movies in general.

Warner's finally seen fit to announce details for the US release of Inception on Blu-ray disc, due December 7. Our expectations are high, after the success of Christopher Nolan's last effort, The Dark Knight in sales and quality, and Inception's visuals and audio seem like a perfect fit for Blu-ray. Extras include a "Extraction Mode," likely similar to other Warner Maximum Movie modes where the director comes in and explains details in PiP, and a DTS-HD MA soundtrack. The sellsheet (after the break, along with the back of the box) for the $35.99 Blu-ray / DVD / Digital Copy combo pack promises more than 90 minutes of extras featuring the director and star Lenoardo DiCaprio, however right now it appears if you've been looking to obtain a briefcase like the one featured in the movie, you'll need to grab the European version and its laundry list of collectibles.

  • Leonard Nimoy lending deep, soothing voice to Star Trek Online

Last week, we received word that Zachary Quinto, who provided the fresh face for Spock in this past summer's Star Trek relaunch, would do the voice of Star Trek Online's "Emergency Medical Hologram tutorial." Today, we received further Spock-based news for the title: According to an Atari press release, Leonard Nimoy will narrate the game's introduction, and can also be heard during cut scenes and other events throughout the game. For instance, he'll offer a brief congratulation when your first Seaman egg hatches. Of course, this announcement has caused fans of the series anticipate the in-game appearance of "old Spock" -- just as Quinto's involvement brought murmurs of a "new Spock" cameo. The somewhat creepier fans began prophesying hot, hot Spock on Spock action. We generally try not to associate with this latter group, for obvious reasons.

  • Leonardo DiCaprio to star in Atari founder biopic

Like something out of Bizzaro World, word on the street is that hunky dreamboat Leonardo DiCaprio will play Atari uber-nerd Nolan Bushnell in an upcoming biopic. According to reports, the film will detail Bushnell's life from his early work at amusement parks, through founding Atari and eventually building the Chuck E. Cheese's empire in a "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington meets Tucker" fashion. We understand there will be a thrilling montage where Bushnell soundly defeats every Atari staff member at Pong, then builds the first animatronic Jasper T. Jowls with spare parts from a 1976 Impala.

A biopic about Atari co-founder Nolan Bushnell has been picked up by Paramount Pictures, with Leonardo DiCaprio attached to star, reports Variety. Although we feel "attached to star" is indicative of DiCaprio taking on the role of Bushnell himself, we guess it's equally likely he could star as Atari co-founder Ted Dabney or a paddle from Pong! Bushnell is also known for founding Chuck E. Cheese. The film, currently titled Atari, will be produced by DiCaprio's Appian Way.[Thanks to everyone who sent this in!]
