Live from Intel's CES press event

Well here we are folks, back for more at Intel's sprawling CES press event. The room is teeming with people right now, and the mood is thick with Penryns and MIDs. We'll see if it all works out like we hope. Stay tuned!

4:27PM PT - We're seated, we're ready. House music is playing, some people are on the floor -- shaking it. Just kidding. Prepare for coolness.

4:30PM PT - Announcement: fill out a survey and win $500. Also, please be seated. Heavy stuff here.

4:33PM PT - T-minus 2 minutes. Almost party time.

4:37PM PT - The lights have dimmed... and we're off! We're being treated to a cheesy CES intro. Ouch -- kind of painful. Now they're showing a roll call of CEOs that will speak this year. It's pretty "cool."

Okay -- president of the CES, Gary Shapiro! He's talking about Paul Otellini, and how important he's been in the industry.

Live from DISH Network's press conference

10:54AM PT - We're here at the DISH's press conference. Folks are taking their seats, and it's pretty laid back right now. Expect to hear about new DVRs and plenty of HD goodies!

11:02AM PT - Okay, things are getting underway. Follow us in after the break for the news.

Live coverage from the Philips press event

Well folks, we're here basking in the soothing white light, and extremely ready for whatever Philips has to offer this CES season. Prepare to be blown away, or not blown away. Only time will tell.

12:53AM PT - We've got front row seats, and things are looking and sounding quite dramatic today. We're not sure if we should be laughing or crying. It's emotional.

1:00PM PT - Right on the nose! We're off! It should come as no surprise we're being treated to some intense, arty video of the company's Aurea.

And Andrea Ragnetti, CEO consumer lifestyle has taken the stage. The consumer lifestyle is a brand new sector of Philips -- it combines consumer electronics and domestic appliances.

Live from Panasonic's press conference

10:37AM PT - Panasonic's press conference is about to begin, and we're here. Expect big news on the mondo-sized Lifewall plasma, LCD talk, and Blu-ray drives. Stay tuned, we'll be live blogging from inside.

10:58AM PT - We're in and the crowd is taking its seats. Beatles are playing, always a crowd fave.

11:06AM PT - And we're off! Follow us after the break.

Live from WWDC 2006: Steve Jobs keynote

8:23AM PST - Alright everybody, we're kicking off over here at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. Be sure to book mark this URL, as even though we're doing a little pre-game coverage now, this is where it's all gonna go down when Steve takes the stage at 10:00AM.

8:25AM - Appleprechauns!

9:11AM - Still waiting! Someone started a group chat at http://www.gabbly.com/http://www.engadget.com/2006/08/07/live-from-wwdc-2006-steve-jobs-keynote/ if you wanna gossip about the Jobsnote before things get rolling.

WWDC tomorrow at 10:00AM PST / 1:00PM EST. Be there.

Alright everybody, things get busy tomorrow when His Steveness kicks off WWDC 2006 at 10:00AM PST / 1:00PM EST. We'll be on hand to cover the event, as well as to provide any live pre-game coverage, including Jonathan Ive's tailgater and the filming of WWDC Parking Lot. Be sure to stay tuned for late-breaking leaks (yay) and rumors (boo), and click on for some more shots of the made-over Moscone here in San Francisco (including that silly WWDC banner).

Update: Makes sense to provide a few more time zones so you know when to show up if you're not on one coast or the other. Here, this oughta help a little:

7:00AM - Hawaii
10:00AM - Pacific
11:00AM - Mountain
12:00PM - Central
1:00PM - Eastern
5:00PM - GMT
6:00PM - London
7:00PM - Paris
2:00AM - Tokyo (August 8th)
