Playtime credit for some EU realms
Apparently there was some extra downtime (7 hours!) for some of the European realms on Wednseday. To compensate, Blizzard is giving a one-day playtime credit to anyone with an active character in the affected battlegroups: Crueldad, Hinterhalt, Némésis, and Nightfall. That's one of the things I like about Blizz -- they may mess up, but when they do, they try to fix it (except when it comes to Life Tap).In case you're not sure what battlegroup you're in, here's the realm listings. If you have an active character on any of these European realms, you will be credited a day of playtime. Maintenance extended three hours
In a regularly-scheduled world, the servers would be up and we'd all be playing WoW 2.3 right now. But did any of us really expect that to be the case? Turns out maintenance has been prolonged until 1:00 2:00 PM PST, two three hours later than the previous estimate (Drysc). But let's try to look at this in a positive way. Now you have more time to: Figure out how you'll work around the Sweeping Strikes/Deathwish swap Look for AddOn updates (or write some updates, if you're a mod author) Plot your guild's takedown of Zul'Aman Just plain get excited about the changes What are you going to do with your free downtime extension?
Extended Tuesday Maintenance for Select US Realms
This week, maintenance is extended for 22 US realms that need additional database and hardware maintenance. These realms will be going offline at 3:00 AM PDT, while the rest of the realms will be going offline at 5:00 AM PDT as usual. So if you play on any of the following realms, prepare to loose a couple of hours of playtime: Alexstrasza, Alleria, Balnazzar, Blackhand, Cenarion Circle, Cenarius, Cho'gall, Destromath, Dethecus, Garona, Gorgonnash, Gul'dan, Hellscream, Hyjal, Illidan, Kael'thas, Kirin Tor, Lightbringer, Spinebreaker, Stormreaver, Uther, and Whisperwind.
