You think you look geeky with your Bluetooth headset in your ear, and a Segway beneath your feet? Think again, as a newer, wackier mode of personal transport has appeared in the form of the Easy-Glider. This one-wheeled electric chariot won the ispo BrandNew Award -- what can do more for a gadget's geek cred than an award with a metaname like that? -- and is soon to be displayed on the podium at the ispo Sport & Style 2007 in Munich, Germany. The X6 Easy-Glider has a top speed of around 12 MPH, a range of around 9 to 16 miles depending on surface conditions, and takes between six to eight hours to recharge. On top of that the Easy-Glider currently requires approval for use in Switzerland -- no deets on usage in other countries -- and a license plate (!) if you want to take on traffic. Yep, like the Segway, it's totally impractical and will probably be priced way out of our non-existent budget. But we still want one.[Via Core77]

Workers are busily constructing Germany's first Apple Store in Munich. AppleInsider has photos of the 4 story construction project - and surrounding barricade - which is covered with iPod advertisements. There's certainly no question as to what they're building. It's scheduled to open in the 2nd half of 2008.While we appreciate the sneak-peak that AppleInsider has provided, we know you can do better. If you're near 1 Rosenstrasse in Munich (formerly home to Sport Schuster sporting goods) let us know what's going on! We're excited to see the launch of such a huge flagship store (and Germany's first!).

Over the last few months, we've enjoyed snippets of information about AMD's new 4x4 platform, but until today we didn't know the speed of the chips, nor their prices. TG Daily just got all the info from a company event in Munich; the 4x4 will launch on November 14, with three different models of 125-watt FX processors: the 2.6GHz FX-72, 2.8GHz FX-74, and 3.0GHz FX-76. Further, the site also confirmed with AMD that the entry-level chips would go for "about $1000," and acknowledged that there still aren't that many pieces of software that can take advantage of two cores on two chips, besides Windows Vista Ultimate Edition. So the short of it is, that totally decked out gamer rig -- with a 4x4 powering the whole unit -- isn't going to come cheap.
