We're fairly certain that New Orleans Pelicans basketball player Jrue Holiday has perfectly functional arms in real life. As demonstrated by YouTube user wEEman33, it appears that NBA 2K15 disagrees. As seen in the video shared shared above, a recent glitch in the game caused Holiday's arms to seemingly retreat into his body following a server-side update to its MyTeam mode, leaving his hands to jut out from his shoulders like fish fins with opposable thumbs. To make matters worse, the shirtless Holiday was also missing part of his torso and occasionally disappeared, but none of it stopped him from sinking multiple three-point shots. According to Operation Sports, the special armless "Sapphire" version of Holiday no longer exists, as Visual Concepts issued a patch to squash the bug yesterday. 2K Sports' basketball game is no stranger to horrifying glitches; NBA 2K15's face-scanning feature resulted in numerous monstrosities for created players. The publisher had fun with the issue, offering fans Halloween masks based on the face-scan glitch to print out and wear. [Image: 2K Sports]

2K Sports recently offered a new trailer and details for NBA 2K15's MyTeam mode. Similar to EA Sports' various Ultimate Team modes, MyTeam has players building a squad of basketballers from across the sport's history, improving their team gradually over time. One of the ways they'll be able to build their team this year is through a real-time auction house, seen in a few of the game's screens provided by 2K. Players will also have a challenge mode to put their team through its paces in several "What if?" fantasy scenarios. 2K Sports plans to add both multiplayer and weekly challenges to MyTeam throughout the year as well as user-created content. NBA 2K15 will launch October 7 for PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. [Image: 2K Sports]

NBA 2K14 will see an improved MyTeam mode on Xbox One and PS4, 2K Sports announced. MyTeam is the fantasy team mode similar to EA's Ultimate Team modes being offered in its sports games, including NBA Live 14. Among the features players will find on Xbox One and PS4 is "Domination mode," which has players going up against "actual NBA teams." Next-gen players will also have access to new card colors with different levels of rarity: emerald, sapphire and ruby. Lastly, if our gallery of next-generation MyTeam screens are any indicator, the developer has moved away from the mode's traditional "VC" in-game currency. 2K Sports has not specified whether current-gen players can transfer their My Team cards to their next-gen system of choice. NBA 2K14 will launch alongside the Xbox One and PS4 this month.
