Sanyo wants to navigate through this crazy world with you, or, more specifically, it wants you to navigate through this crazy world with its NV-HD880FT "Gorilla," a personal GPS rig sure to have even the most die-hard map users casting sideways glances. The new navigator features a massive 8-inch touchscreen, a 30GB hard drive, and dual TV tuners (12Seg / 1Seg and terrestrial). Additionally, the NV-HD880FT packs traffic updates, an FM transmitter, and emission reduction "thoughts" via the company's "Eco-Drive II information" (whatever that means). The navigator will be available in Japan on November 26th, for ¥225,750 (or around $1,956), no word on a wider release.[Via Akihabara News]

Tired of looking at your lame, barely defined, primary-color GPS renderings, wherein the difference between your exit and a POI is merely a few hues on the RGB-wheel? Well, a company called Blusens wants to help you out... for a price, of course. The company has just introduced two new GPS navigators (the G01 and G02) that feature slick looking "real" maps (a la Google's satellite images), onto which GPS data is overlaid. The effect is pretty impressive -- and more than a little helpful if you're driving past some notable landmarks. The G01 features a 4.3-inch touchscreen, a 30GB hard drive, SD / MMC card support, plus video, audio, and still image playback. The G02 is much of the same, though it packs a 40GB hard drive and Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP support. The G01 will be out in November for a not-so-cheap €499, and the G02 is due sometime in early 2008, no word on price. Check the video after the break to see the magic happen.Read -- Blusens presents/displays new G.01 Navigator with real imageRead -- Blusens G01: GPS with real imageRead -- Blusens G02: GPS with real maps

Asus has been getting into all kinds of wild activity as of late, from its Eee ultra-cheap laptop, to wooden concept computers, and of course, entry into the GPS market. Well, hot on the heels of the R600 (the company's first foray into navigation) comes the R300 and R700, two new GPS / PMPs that do just about what you'd expect, and maybe a little bit more. The R300 has a 3.5-inch touchscreen, a 400MHz Samsung CPU, 128MB of RAM, FM tuner, Bluetooth 2.0, can playback MP3, WMA, AAC audio and MPEG-4, H.263 video, and sports a microSD slot. The R700 has a larger, 4.3-inch touchscreen, and an integrated RDS-TMC traffic receiver, though otherwise the specs are pretty much the same as the R300. No word on price, but the units are expected to arrive sometime in November, at least in Europe.[Via Unwired View]
