This week we're all business, because we have an overly long list of retail deals to ramble off. So, we'll forgo the fluffy intro and just get to it. Starting with Best Buy, all this week they're giving away a copy of Call of Duty 3 with the purchase of Enemy Territory: Quake Wars and a free $10 gift card with purchase of The Incredible Hulk. Best Buy also discounted a few accessories, offering the Messenger Kit for $20, Wireless Headset for $50 and Vision Camera for $30. Heading over to Circuit City, you can snag a free $10 gift card with the purchase of either NASCAR 09 or Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit, get the Rock Band bundle for $155 and BioShock or Mass Effect for $32. They're also offering Burnout Paradise for $40, Frontlines: FoW or MX vs. ATV for $48, Need for Speed Carbon for $24 and our favorite CC deal of the week, 1600 Microsoft points for $15. Next up is Target, where they're giving away a FREE copy of Mass Effect with the purchase two of the listed Xbox 360 titles including Ninja Gaiden II ($60), RSV2 ($40), Scene It? ($50), Gears of War ($40), NASCAR 09 ($60) or Assassin's Creed ($40). And finally, because we love our Canadian readers so much, we hopped on over to Best Buy Canada and discovered they're offering two free games with any Xbox 360 console purchase (selection based on one of four game bundles) and a 12 Month Xbox Live subscription card for $50. Now run along and have a spectacular time shopping.

A new trailer has popped up for the next incarnation of Need for Speed. At the moment, the game goes without any subtitles, leaving us unable to properly identify it. The trailer shows off a real purdy car which subsequently explodes, and really, what more do you need from a video game? The trailer concludes with a quick blurb directing viewers to check out NeedforSpeed.com on May 31st. Impatient people that we are, we decided to check it out now, and were sadly greeted with the website for Need for Speed: Carbon. Sigh ... guess we'll have to wait.

Been looking for something to fill up that free space on your increasingly crammed 360 hard drive? Download the demo for the latest Need for Speed, dubbed Carbon, and watch 1GB disappear. Of course, this only applies if you live in an area that's not Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Sinagpore or Taiwan ... but we know what to do about that, don't we?Promotional blurb from the Dashboard hidden after the break.

Well folks, TGS is over, finished, kaput. As such, it seem only fitting that today's content is more oriented towards western audiences -- note also that there is no Japan exclusive content today. Here's the sweet sweet candy: Battlestations Midway trailer Eragon trailer Import Tuner Challenge trailer Need for Speed Carbon trailer The Darkness trailer Mass Effect Picture Pack (free!) Battlestar Galactica (United States) TGS Showfloor video 3 video F.E.A.R. demo We discussed the F.E.A.R. demo earlier: if you played the OXM demo, there's nothing new. With all this content, it may be time to start clearing out some of that old E3 stuff. Meanwhile, X06 inches ever closer. So, everybody make some room, download each and every one of these trailers, watch them, and then come back here and discuss them. Discuss them, I say!

There are three DS videos available from the Leipzig convention. One of which is Tomb Raider: Legend. The person filming gave us a chance to take a look at how attacking works and it seems like it came straight from the first demo of Metroid Prime: Hunters in how you tap the enemy to shoot them. Along with Tomb Raider: Legend, videos for Need for Speed: Carbon and Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam can also be viewed. Here's where we would like to open the floor to you. Which do you think looks the best? [Via No Filter]

  • EA's Need for Speed gets street cred threads

Commercial advertisements and corporate sponsorship have taken it to the next level, to the Xtreme, to the maxX, to the... whatever. While some may not mind the influx of ads inside our favorite video games, some find them very irritable. They aren't much of a concern in "realistic" games, which is why EA decided to team up with 55DSL (a clothing company) in their upcoming game Need For Speed: Carbon that is coming to every console in existence. The clothing being worn by characters in the game will have all been exclusively designed by the folks at 55DSL but will be available to purchase as your own personal garb at EA-sponsored events or pre-order campaigns. Executive producer of Carbon, Larry LaPierre, had this to say about the partnership: "This partnership adds another layer of authenticity to our role in street culture." Role in street culture... what does that mean? Sounds like EA likes themselves, but they're allowed since they nearly own the universe. Still, if you're into getting game-designed clothes by an outside clothing company, Carbon comes out this November so pre-order now and snag a street cultured t-shirt.

EA has announced that Emmanuelle Vaugier, of Saw II fame, will appear in Need for Speed Carbon. Vaugier is set to follow in the footsteps of Brooke Burke and Josie Maran, two actresses that have flaunted their stuff in past Need for Speed iterations.Vaugier will star as Nikki, the ex-girlfriend of Carbon's hero. "Playing the role of Nikki allows me to take a completely fresh approach to acting and push the boundaries of the creative process," Vaugier confesses. Whatever. Just keep the 'drive safely' nagging down to a minimum, 'kay? Maran's PSA at the startup of Most Wanted got tired -- real quick.
