Last month, we were thankful that the torrent of games had slowed considerably. Now here in July, we ... well, could the games come back please? There are some promising releases bookending May, like Lost Planet 2 and Modnation Racers, but the show stopper has to be May 18, which will mark the arrival of a ton of heavy hitters like Alan Wake, Red Dead Redemption and Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands. After an unprecedented rush of Q1 releases, April is actually looking a little more like itself in 2010. Traditionally, this is the time of year when we'd be able to put our feet up and savor the calm after the Q4 storm. But in 2010/Two-Thousand-and-Sin/ZOLO, we're stuck with a month of completely decent releases. We've always begged the industry to release games throughout the year, but never stopped to consider the terrible cost: More work for us. Maybe it's just wishful thinking on our part, but November actually seems like it'll be a little bit easier on the pocket book than last month. Even if you count the biggies like Resistance 2 and EndWar that already hit us this week, it's still less taxing than October.
