We're sorry, we know <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/Garmin/">Garmin</a> puts a lot of TLC and, um, <em>maps</em> into these things, but we're still having trouble swallowing the $1000 pricetag the company is placing on its new hotness, the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/nuvi880/">nuvi 880</a>. The device is finally up for pre-order at Amazon, so if you want to be first in line for speech recognition and the other perks this unit will bring, now would be a good time to start selling off the kids.<br /> <br />[Via <a href="http://www.navigadget.com/index.php/2008/06/17/nuvi-880-available-for-pre-order-for-999/">NaviGadget</a>]<p>Filed under: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/gps/" rel="tag">GPS</a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2008/06/17/nuvi-880-is-up-for-pre-order-if-youve-got-1000-youre-dying-t/">nuvi 880 is up for pre-order, if you've got $1000 you're dying to part with</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Tue, 17 Jun 2008 12:07:00 EST. This high-end navigator was sitting pretty for <a href="http://daily.mahalo.com/">Mahalo Daily's</a> Veronica Belmont here at CES, and as you've probably surmised by now, she was able to pick it up and snag some video. Yup, it's right beyond the break.<p><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2008/01/06/video-garmins-nuvi-880-on-display/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Video: Garmin's nuvi 880 on display</em></a></p><p>Filed under: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/gps/" rel="tag">GPS</a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2008/01/06/video-garmins-nuvi-880-on-display/">Video: Garmin's nuvi 880 on display</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Sun, 06 Jan 2008 23:44:00 EST. Whoa, Nelly! Garmin just did the deed and loosed a swarm of details on its jam-packed <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2008/01/02/is-this-garmins-ces-2008-lineup/">CES 2008 lineup</a>, and sure enough, there aren't too many surprises. We'll let the new n&uuml;vi lineup get us started. First up, we figured you Americans should know that the previously Euro-only <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/10/23/garmin-looses-pink-nuvi-200-250-gps-systems-on-europe/">pink n&uuml;vi 200</a> is headed your way in Q1 for $249.99. Next up is the currently unpriced n&uuml;vi 260W, which looks to boast the exact same features as the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/08/06/garmin-intros-nuvi-260-with-text-to-speech/">n&uuml;vi 260</a> save for that luscious 4.3-inch touchscreen that this one is rockin'. Right on cue, it's the n&uuml;vi 5000 ($799.99), which you can catch more on -- along with the now official n&uuml;vi 780 / 880 (pictured above) -- right <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2008/01/02/is-this-garmins-ces-2008-lineup/">over here</a>. Hungry for more? Head on past the break.<br /><br />
