Not quite as good as an actual announcement, but at CEDIA Pioneer was previewing its BDP-430, BDP-43FD and BDP-41FD 3D Blu-ray players which are expected to cost the same or less than the current models at $299, $399 and $499. The look and feel is pretty much what we've come to expect from Pioneer and the line includes the usual suspect of streaming options, with one yet to be announced option that should be revealed before they hit the street this December. <a href="http://hd.engadget.com/2009/09/10/pioneer-shoots-for-the-moon-with-its-entertainment-tap-concept/">The Entertainment TAP</a> and <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2009/09/10/video-frist-working-blu-ray-managed-copy-demo/">Manage Copy</a> demos from last year were no where to be found, sadly, but Pioneer did have a new line of HDMI cables and entry level home theater speakers they were very proud of -- and for good reason considering the price and quality of the items. <br />

<div align="left"><br /> <br /> You probably already have your Home Theater situation well sorted, so the gang at <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/pioneer,cedia">Pioneer</a> (lovely chaps) have brought some slightly less robust devices to <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/CEDIA/">CEDIA</a> for that <em>other</em> room in your house. First off, the iPod docks: in case you didn't see them in Europe where they first made the scene a week or so ago, both new XW models pack 2.1 surround sound, 60W output, and Bluetooth connectivity into a single unit. The splashier of the two is the XW-NAS5, which is available in multiple colors, features a radio, and includes some sort of built-in ambient sound player for fans of relaxation, sleep, or hypnosis. If you're not feeling quite as ostentatious, the XW-NAS3 comes in white and features iPod support -- and nothing else. If PMP dockery isn't your bag, you might want to check out the HTP-SB300 soundbar. Featuring 3.1-channels, 250W of power, dual HDMI ins, and support for DTS, Dolby Digital PLUS and Dolby TrueHD audio, it's the perfect compliment to your wall-mounted 32-37-inch display. Both are available this Winter, for a price TBA. PR after the break.<br /> <br /> [Via <a href="http://www.slashgear.com/pioneer-xw-nas3-and-xw-nas5-are-bookshelf-sized-speakers-for-your-iphone-1055891/">SlashGear</a>]</div>

Just because Pioneer isn't in the plasma business anymore doesn't mean the company is dead, and one of the new points of focus over there is on media aggregation. So part of the new do-it-all <a href="http://www.engadgethd.com/2009/09/10/pioneer-shoots-for-the-moon-with-its-entertainment-tap-concept/">Entertainment Tap</a> concept Pioneer was displaying today included a demo of storing <a href="http://www.engadgethd.com/2009/06/19/blu-rays-managed-copy-explained-a-movie-jukebox-is-possible/">Managed Copies</a> of Blu-ray Discs on a hard drive. The copy itself was done in about 4x real time (dependent on the drive's speed) and looked great thanks to some hardware transcoding. We also appreciated the Pioneer interface that made copying the disc easy. Of course at this point this is just a demo, with no word on availability or price, but it is a start to what will one day hopefully be a better way to enjoy HD movies.<p><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2009/09/10/video-frist-working-blu-ray-managed-copy-demo/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Video: First working Blu-ray Managed Copy demo</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2009/09/10/video-frist-working-blu-ray-managed-copy-demo/">Video: First working Blu-ray Managed Copy demo</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Thu, 10 Sep 2009 19:44:00 EST. <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/CEDIA2008/">CEDIA 2008</a> was a whirlwind of new projectors, HDTVs and all sorts of other wares that home theater freaks just love. As <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/09/08/cedia-2007-roundup/">always</a>, we were here in the Mile High City covering every minute, but we completely understand if you missed anything. Just in case, we've compiled a summary of what all happened here in Denver, and make sure you head on past the break for the rest. <br /><br /><strong>Hands-ons</strong><br /><br /><a Pioneer didn't bring a whole lot of firepower to this year's CEDIA (though it did toss in <a href="http://www.engadgethd.com/2008/09/04/pioneer-goes-crazy-with-16-new-speaker-models-kuro-brand-push/">16 new speaker models</a>), but the star of its show was definitely the &uuml;ber-expensive <a href="http://www.engadgethd.com/2008/09/04/pioneer-elite-bdp-09fd-blu-ray-player-officially-on-the-way-eve/">Elite BDP-09FD</a> Blu-ray player. Thankfully, the company had a couple of units setup for photographing, one of which was dissected within a glass case. Needless to say, we snapped images from each, giving you a rare look at what makes this thing worth $2,199. As with most of its Elite components (HDTVs notwithstanding), this unit was also on the chunky side, but it's still a beauty in our eyes. The <a href="http://www.engadgethd.com/photos/hands-on-a-look-within-pioneers-elite-bdp-09fd-blu-ray-player/">gallery awaits your attention</a>.<p>Filed under: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/homeentertainment/" rel="tag">Home Entertainment</a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2008/09/04/hands-on-a-look-within-pioneers-elite-bdp-09fd-blu-ray-player/">Hands-on / a look within Pioneer's Elite BDP-09FD Blu-ray player</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Thu, 04 Sep 2008 19:07:00 EST. The Pioneer Elite <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/bdp-09fd/">BDP-09FD</a> Blu-ray player -- its first with BD-Live, featuring 4GB of storage -- is finally official. Blu-ray discs will have their video treated to Pioneer's 16-bit video processor, Marvell QDEO and Renesas processing, including 24p support, plus the company's Adaptive bit Length Expansion that claims it restores 8-bit color on disc to the original 16-bit studio master. The audio side is treated to eight Wolfson Audio DACs, delivering full decoding and bit-stream output for all those high-res audio formats the kids like so much in a truly superior fashion. Dual HDMI 1.3a outputs capable of splitting or duplicating the workload, RS-232C control and heavy solid steel construction just further the point -- if you'd like to pay more than the price of a PS3 for a fully featured Blu-ray player, here's a good reason. The only truly sad news is that the $2,199 price and "2008" release date remain unchanged.</div><p>Filed under: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/blu-ray/" rel="tag">Blu-ray</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/players/" rel="tag">Players</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/pioneer/" rel="tag">Pioneer</a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2008/09/04/pioneer-elite-bdp-09fd-blu-ray-player-officially-on-the-way-eve/">Pioneer Elite BDP-09FD Blu-ray player officially on the way, eventually</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Thu, 04 Sep 2008 11:42:00 EST. Pioneer's top of the line <a href="http://www.engadgethd.com/2008/05/07/pioneer-intros-2008-signature-series-elite-kuro-monitors/">Elite Signature Series Kuro plasmas</a> are finally officially priced and shipping, but make a decision quick, word on the street is these "limited run" screens have been finding their way into more than a few installers pipelines over the last few weeks. At 2.5-inches thick, these panels -- hand selected for the deepest blacks and accurate colors --- will fit anywhere you'd like to have them installed, and each unique serial number gives access to a Pioneer website for that specific monitor's certified factory white balance setting. A slew of tweaks and calibrations for your guy to run through when he's putting this in are also part of the package, ultimately contributing to a $5,500 (PRO-101FD, 50-inch) or $7,000 (PRO-141FD, 60-inch) price tag. Lookee here, our first sight at what Pioneer's bringing to <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/CEDIA/">CEDIA</a>. For the audio crowd, it's unveiling a mind-boggling 16 new speaker models including four floorstanding subwoofers. The new line of "dynamic architectural loudspeakers (pictured after the jump) come in three different performance levels - Elite EX Series, Pioneer CST and plain ole Pioneer. As you can likely imagine, we don't have the luxury of space here to cover the sweet sixteen, but everything is laid out nicely in the link below. In somewhat related news, the outfit has also announced a new <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/KURO/">KURO</a> brand campaign that "embodies transformation." We'll spare you the marketing hoopla, but there's a nice link down there should you want to dive in.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/PressRoom/Press+Releases/Pioneer+Introduces+New+Line+of+Architectural+Speakers+to+Provide+Final+Piece+of+Home+Entertainment+Experience">Read</a> - 16 new speaker models<br /><a href="http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/PressRoom/Press+Releases/Pioneer+Launches+New+KURO+Brand+Campaign+that+Embodies+Transformation">Read</a> - New KURO campaign<p><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2008/09/04/pioneer-goes-crazy-with-16-new-speaker-models-kuro-brand-push/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Pioneer goes crazy with 16 new speaker models, KURO brand push</em></a></p><p>Filed under: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/displays/" rel="tag">Displays</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/speakers/" rel="tag">Speakers</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/pioneer/" rel="tag">Pioneer</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/advertising/" rel="tag">Advertising</a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2008/09/04/pioneer-goes-crazy-with-16-new-speaker-models-kuro-brand-push/">Pioneer goes crazy with 16 new speaker models, KURO brand push</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Thu, 04 Sep 2008 10:12:00 EST. Pioneer's <a href="http://www.engadgethd.com/2007/09/06/pioneer-intros-bdp-95fd-blu-ray-player/">BDP-95FD</a> Blu-ray player may have been just one of the many fine looking devices at the outfit's <a href="http://www.engadgethd.com/2007/09/07/pioneers-cedia-booth-tour/">fine looking exhibit</a>, but considering that it was just unveiled hours ago, we figured we'd give it additional attention. As you'd probably guess, this Elite gizmo lived up to its branding (at least in the design department), and we've got an assortment of closeups waiting for you over at EngadgetHD.<p>Filed under: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/hdtv/" rel="tag">HDTV</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/homeentertainment/" rel="tag">Home Entertainment</a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/09/08/hands-on-with-pioneers-bdp-95fd-blu-ray-player/">Hands-on with Pioneer's BDP-95FD Blu-ray player</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Sat, 08 Sep 2007 00:12:00 EST. As if <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/09/07/pioneers-cedia-booth-tour/">Pioneer's booth</a> wasn't sensational enough already, the inclusion of the brand new <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/09/06/pioneer-intros-bdp-95fd-blu-ray-player/">BDP-95FD</a> Blu-ray player made it even sweeter. Make no mistake, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/Pioneer/">Pioneer</a> is awfully proud of this creation, as an on-site rep was claiming that it was "the best Blu-ray player on the market" while bragging to onlookers. 'Course, this Elite device does tout some of the nicest specs we've seen, and yes, it pained us to leave the booth without being able to bring one home. Bottom line: this "reference quality" BD player looked incredibly good in person, and judging by how well Pioneer's other<a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/08/22/pioneers-50-inch-kuro-plasma-reviewed/"> Elite merchandise</a> has been received, we've got high hopes for this one.<br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/hands-on-with-pioneers-bdp-95fd-blu-ray-player/">Hands-on with Pioneer's BDP-95FD Blu-ray player</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/hands-on-with-pioneers-bdp-95fd-blu-ray-player/#388254"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadgethd.com/media/2007/09/elitebd_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/hands-on-with-pioneers-bdp-95fd-blu-ray-player/#388255"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadgethd.com/media/2007/09/elitebd-(1)_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/hands-on-with-pioneers-bdp-95fd-blu-ray-player/#388256"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadgethd.com/media/2007/09/elitebd-(2)_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/hands-on-with-pioneers-bdp-95fd-blu-ray-player/#388257"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadgethd.com/media/2007/09/elitebd-(3)_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/hands-on-with-pioneers-bdp-95fd-blu-ray-player/#388258"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadgethd.com/media/2007/09/elitebd-(4)_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p>Filed under: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/blu-ray/" rel="tag">Blu-ray</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/players/" rel="tag">Players</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/pioneer/" rel="tag">Pioneer</a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/09/08/hands-on-with-pioneers-bdp-95fd-blu-ray-player/">Hands-on with Pioneer's BDP-95FD Blu-ray player</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Sat, 08 Sep 2007 00:12:00 EST. If you appreciate booths done right, you'll be a fan of <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/Pioneer/">Pioneer</a>. This installation was easily the most attractive (in our eyes, at least) at <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/CEDIA/">CEDIA</a>, and if you dig Elite KUROs, snazzy flat-panel speaker systems, AV receivers with 1,400-watts of power and lots of black, why not give <a href="http://www.engadgethd.com/2007/09/07/pioneers-cedia-booth-tour/">the gallery</a> a once over?<p>Filed under: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/displays/" rel="tag">Displays</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/hdtv/" rel="tag">HDTV</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/homeentertainment/" rel="tag">Home Entertainment</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/portableaudio/" rel="tag">Portable Audio</a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/09/07/pioneers-cedia-booth-tour/">Pioneer's CEDIA booth tour</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Fri, 07 Sep 2007 23:49:00 EST. <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/09/06/sonys-cedia-booth-tour/">Sony</a> had size, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/09/06/sharps-cedia-booth-tour/">Sharp</a> had a ginormous LCD, and <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/09/07/panasonics-cedia-booth-tour/">Panasonic</a> had a virtual fireplace, but <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/Pioneer/">Pioneer</a>'s booth took the award for sexiest -- if that's even possible. Pioneer's exhibit was doused in glossy black accents and showcased quite a few beautiful devices, including a couple <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/08/22/pioneers-50-inch-kuro-plasma-reviewed/">Elite KURO</a> plasmas, HTS-LX70 flat-panel based theater system, the SC-09TX 1,400-watt AV receiver, and a X-Z9 integrated <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/SACD/">SACD</a> / Network Media audio system for those still clinging to the format. And yes, the stunning <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/09/06/pioneer-intros-bdp-95fd-blu-ray-player/">BDP-95FD</a> was on hand too, but we'll be giving it some special attention.<br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/pioneers-cedia-booth-tour/">Pioneer's CEDIA booth tour</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/pioneers-cedia-booth-tour/#388219"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadgethd.com/media/2007/09/pioneer-(6)_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/pioneers-cedia-booth-tour/#388220"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadgethd.com/media/2007/09/pioneer-(7)_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/pioneers-cedia-booth-tour/#388221"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadgethd.com/media/2007/09/pioneer-(8)_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/pioneers-cedia-booth-tour/#388222"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadgethd.com/media/2007/09/pioneer-(9)_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/pioneers-cedia-booth-tour/#388223"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadgethd.com/media/2007/09/pioneer-(10)_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p>Filed under: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/industry/" rel="tag">Industry</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/blu-ray/" rel="tag">Blu-ray</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/displays/" rel="tag">Displays</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/other-hardware/" rel="tag">Other hardware</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/players/" rel="tag">Players</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/receivers/" rel="tag">Receivers</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/speakers/" rel="tag">Speakers</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/pioneer/" rel="tag">Pioneer</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/plasma/" rel="tag">Plasma</a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/09/07/pioneers-cedia-booth-tour/">Pioneer's CEDIA booth tour</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Fri, 07 Sep 2007 23:49:00 EST. <div align="left">We've already seen more than a few Blu-ray and HD DVD players make their debut at <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/cedia">CEDIA</a> this week, and Pioneer's now tossed an entry of its own into the pack, unveiling its new high-end BDP-95FD Blu-ray player. As Pioneer is quick to boast, this is apparently the first such player to offer bitstream output of "all advanced audio formats" including Dolby<span id="bwanpa7"></span> TrueHD, Dolby<span id="bwanpa8"></span> Digital+, DTS-HD<span id="bwanpa9"></span> High Resolution, and DTS-HD<span id="bwanpa10"></span> Master Audio. Otherwise, the player will give you full <a href="http://www.engadget.com/search/?q=1080p24">1080p24</a> video, along with HDMI 1.3 connectivity (including <a href="http://www.engadget.com/search/?q=HDMI-CEC">HDMI-CEC</a> technology), and Pioneer's "exclusive" Home Media Gallery, which will let you network the player with your computer or other <a href="http://www.engadget.com/search/?q=DLNA">DLNA</a>-compliant gear. Just don't expect to be able to do all that on the cheap, with the player set to pack a $1,000 price tag when it's released in October.<br /> </div>

Yesterday we posted that the <a href="http://www.hdbeat.com/2006/09/14/pioneer-cedia-blu-ray-player-coming-soon/">Pioneer's Blu-ray player was going to be aviable within a few weeks</a> which was in-line with everything we have heard for months. However we were flooded with comments about Audioholic's, another popular AV coverage site closely releated to AVSforum.com, post that stated very clearly that no, it is coming out Spring '07. Let us tell you that this was news to Chris Walker, Pioneer's Senior Poduct Planning Manager, when we talked to him today. Spring of '07 is simply not true and according to <em>everyone</em> at the CEDIA Pioneer booth, <strong>this fall is their launch target and not Spring of '07. </strong><p>Filed under: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/industry/" rel="tag">Industry</a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2006/09/15/pioneer-cedia-blu-ray-player-availability-confirmed-take-2/">Pioneer @ CEDIA - Blu-ray player availability confirmed - Take 2</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Fri, 15 Sep 2006 20:43:00 EST. Like everyone else, Pioneer has hit up <a href="http://www.engadget.com/search/?q=cedia">CEDIA</a> to show off its wares, including these three new plasma displays in its PureVision Elite line. Coming in 42-inch, 50-inch, and 60-inch varieties (dubbed PRO-940HD, PRO-1140HD, and PRO-1540HD, respectively) the sets all include support for Pioneer's Home Media Gallery, with USB and Ethernet ports that'll let you stream content from a <a href="http://www.engadget.com/search/?q=dlna">DLNA</a>-compliant PC. Supported media includes Microsoft PlaysForSure DRM, and MPEG-1, WMV9, and MPEG-2 codecs. Each unit also comes equipped with NTSC/ATSC tuners, a <a href="http://www.engadget.com/search/?q=cablecard">CableCard</a> slot, a pair of HDMI inputs, two component inputs, PC input and RS-232C support. All three are, unfortunately, sub-1080p, with the 42-incher sporting a 1,024 x 768 resolution, and the two larger models each displaying 1,365 x 768 pixels. The entire lineup is available now with prices coming in at $4,000, $5,500, and $8,000, depending on how big you wanna go.<br /><br /><strong>Update</strong>: Near as we can tell, the 42 and 60-inchers share the same panels <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2006/09/15/pioneers-60-and-42-inch-plasma-tvs-not-quite-1080p/">as the sets dropped this morning in Japan</a> but all gussied up for the US market. The 50's new if that makes you feel lucky.<p>Filed under: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/displays/" rel="tag">Displays</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/hdtv/" rel="tag">HDTV</a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2006/09/15/pioneer-releases-three-new-purevision-elite-plasma-tvs/">Pioneer releases three new PureVision Elite plasma TVs</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Fri, 15 Sep 2006 15:15:00 EST. We can say that without a doubt, this is one of the coolest displays at the '06 CEDIA EXPO. Pioneer dug up one of their first displays and hung it next to a newer one processing a signal like it was '01 on one side and '03 on the other. Then lastly, there is a display from this generation to show how far Pioneer plasmas have evolved. The color is better along with the definition, contrast, brightness, and lastly, power consumption. The digital numbers in the middle of the display is showing the power usage of the above displays. Believe it or not, a good amount of people stray away from the PDP market because of high power consumption and this shows that things aren't the way they used to be. If you are at the EXPO, swing by the Pioneer booth and wander to the back of it where this demo is located. <br /><br /><em>Continue on for another shot of the booth.</em><p><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2006/09/15/pioneer-cedia-history-of-pioneer-plasmas/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Pioneer @ CEDIA - History of Pioneer plasmas</em></a></p><p>Filed under: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/plasma/" rel="tag">Plasma</a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2006/09/15/pioneer-cedia-history-of-pioneer-plasmas/">Pioneer @ CEDIA - History of Pioneer plasmas</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Fri, 15 Sep 2006 08:44:00 EST. Yup. We couldn't break the staffers for an exact release date of the Pioneer BDP-HD1 Elite Blu-ray player, but they did say "within weeks." We'll take that as it is right on with the fall release that they have been stating for sometime now. The unit hasn't been put-off without cause though as Pioneer is shooting for a error-free launch. They want this first-gen device not to preform like on and that is what the whole Blu-ray camp needs. The Samsung Blu-ray unit was a pimple on the ass of Blu-ray and that just isn't Pioneer's style. <br /><br /><em>We'll tell you what Pioneer, take your time and get it right the first time. We will wait...but not to long.</em><p>Filed under: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/industry/" rel="tag">Industry</a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2006/09/14/pioneer-cedia-blu-ray-player-coming-soon/">Pioneer @ CEDIA - Blu-ray player coming soon?</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Thu, 14 Sep 2006 23:09:00 EST.
