If the idea of pinching, zooming and tapping on your iPad is far less appealing than kneading, sprinkling and cutting, then the <em>Domino's Pizza Hero</em> iPad app may just be right up your alley. Putting aspiring pizza makers to the test, the game challenges players to assemble a pie as quickly as possible for points. Once you've passed levels one through five, affectionately nicknamed "Pizza School," other players will get a chance to <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2008/11/17/us-tivo-users-pick-up-dominos-pizza-ordering-tracking-abiliti/">rate your performance</a> -- ultimately making or breaking your pizza career. If concocting virtual pies was enough to make you hungry, fear not famished souls as the app let's you <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/08/17/dominos-now-accepting-pizza-orders-via-sms-in-the-uk/">order the real deal direct</a> from your iPad -- now <em>that's </em>amore. Check out the gallery and video after the break.<div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/dominos-pizza-hero-eyes-on/">Domino's Pizza Hero eyes-on</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/dominos-pizza-hero-eyes-on/#4630003"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2011/11/dominosipadhandson-0101_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/dominos-pizza-hero-eyes-on/#4630004"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2011/11/dominosipadhandson-0102_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/dominos-pizza-hero-eyes-on/#4630005"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2011/11/dominosipadhandson-0103_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/dominos-pizza-hero-eyes-on/#4630006"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2011/11/dominosipadhandson-0104_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/dominos-pizza-hero-eyes-on/#4630008"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2011/11/dominosipadhandson-0105_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br />

Pizza. Pizza. Pizza. Pizza. Pizza. If you're <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2010/08/12/google-voice-actions-for-mobile-announced-write-messages-find/">speaking said word</a> while using <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/Google/">Google</a> Mobile on a GPS-enabled smartphone, you no longer need to specify where exactly you want the app to search. Of course, we highly doubt you'll see too many germane results while speaking it from Easter Island, but that's just one of the million examples shown in the supposedly comedic video hosted after the break. We'd commend Google on its effort, but our appreciation waned after about 22.8 seconds.<p><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2010/09/27/google-mobiles-pizza-ad-proves-its-point-ad-nauseam-video/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Google Mobile's pizza ad proves its point, ad nauseam (video)</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2010/09/27/google-mobiles-pizza-ad-proves-its-point-ad-nauseam-video/">Google Mobile's pizza ad proves its point, ad nauseam (video)</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Mon, 27 Sep 2010 19:36:00 EST. <div align="left">Bob Bibleman has had bad luck with technology lately. The last time a robot cooked for him he found himself involved in some sort of quasi-military intrigue, and his <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2008/12/22/smartmow-mows-the-lawn-but-wont-accept-a-glass-of-lemonade/">robot lawnmower</a> sure seems like it's up to <em>something</em>. But when ol' Bob ran across a report in the <em>Times</em> (UK) that a venerable Italian gentleman named Claudio Torghele had invented "Let's Pizza" -- a machine that makes pizza from scratch, in three minutes -- he decided to give technology one more chance. The device sports a glass window through which you can watch the machine mix and knead the dough, spin it into shape, add the sauce and toppings, and cook it to perfection<em>.</em> A pie will run you about &euro;3.50 (or just under five bucks), and the machine is due to hit the streets sometime this summer. Now that Mr. Bibleman has that sorted out, maybe he'll be brave enough to let technology help him with other areas of his life -- we hear that <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2008/06/23/laptop-cakes-pay-homage-to-internet-dating/">JDate's really something</a>.<br /><br />[Via <a href="http://www.therawfeed.com/2009/03/italian-company-invents-3-minute-pizza.html">The Raw Feed</a>]<br /></div>

As with the tried and true <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/toaster/">toaster</a>, the traditional pizza cutter has gone far, far too long without a <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/09/03/transparent-toaster-gives-you-clear-view-of-breads-crispiness/">redesign</a>. Don't get us wrong -- the standard cutter seems to slice through Digiorno pies just fine, but it really doesn't add too much fun to the whole process. That's where Fred &amp; Friends comes in. The unimaginatively named (and currently unpriced) Pizza Pro beautifully weds a circular saw with a pizza slicer, and while this thing doesn't actually rev up and send shreds of cheese, pepperoni and burnt crust flying when making its way from one side to the other, it certainly makes the art of carving up a pie for eight infinitely more enjoyable.<br /><br />[Via <a href="http://www.geardiary.com/2009/02/03/pizza-pro-circular-saw-slicer-rips-through-pizza/">GearDiary</a>]<p>Filed under: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/household/" rel="tag">Household</a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2009/02/04/pizza-pro-like-a-circular-saw-for-your-pizza-pies/">Pizza Pro: like a circular saw for your pizza pies</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Wed, 04 Feb 2009 05:04:00 EST. Clearly catering towards the wants, nay, <em>needs</em> of the average American couch potato is TiVo and Domino's Pizza, which have collaborated in order to bring on-sofa pizza ordering to broadband-connected TiVo subscribers. If you'll recall, this service was actually <a href="http://www.engadgethd.com/2008/11/09/aussie-tivo-users-to-bleep-bloop-and-ding-their-way-to-pizza/">announced for Australia</a> earlier this month, but users in the US of A get the first chance to indulge. Clearly catering towards the wants, nay, <em>needs</em> of the average American couch potato is TiVo and Domino's Pizza, which have collaborated in order to bring on-sofa pizza ordering to broadband-connected TiVo subscribers. If you'll recall, this service was actually <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2008/11/09/aussie-tivo-users-to-bleep-bloop-and-ding-their-way-to-pizza/">announced for Australia</a> earlier this month, but users in the US of A get the first chance to indulge. If you thought ordering <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/pizza/">pizza</a> online was the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2005/03/22/mobile-pizza-trucks-deliver-fast-food/">best thing</a> since Deep Dish, you'll be delighted to know that the next logical step in getting pizza to your mouth with minimal effort is here... if you reside in the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/UK/">UK</a>, that is. Reportedly, Dominos is now allowing customers surrounding its 470 UK-based locations to place their orders via SMS, and this move comes after "successful trials" that began in July. To utilize the service, you must first enter in your details online, but after that initial registration, pizza is simply a text away. Impulse eaters, rejoice.<br /><br />[Via <a href="http://techdigest.tv/2007/08/dominos_launche.html">TechDigest</a>]<p>Filed under: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/messaging/" rel="tag">Messaging</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/misc/" rel="tag">Misc</a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/08/17/dominos-now-accepting-pizza-orders-via-sms-in-the-uk/">Dominos now accepting pizza orders via SMS... in the UK</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Fri, 17 Aug 2007 12:38:00 EST. Ripped straight from Showbiz Pizza Place, Fatz Geronimo and crew have apparently been reworked to perform Ms. New Booty, a less than flattering (but entirely comical) piece.
