If you're tired of your ugly mug staring back from across the bathroom sink every morning, just install this furry silhouetting mirror from New York-based artist Daniel Rozin. He built it for the Descent With Modification exhibit at NYC's bitforms gallery. The "PomPom Mirror," as it's called, leverages a Kinect motion capture device to control 464 servos that, in turn, flip 928 black and white faux fur pom poms back and forth to match your movements in real-time.

PomPom Games, creators of the PSN-exclusive Astro Tripper, are working on yet another downloadable title for PS3. Gemini Rings won't be a shoot-em-up like its predecessor, but PomPom is promising "stuff gets blown up." GamerBytes postulates that the game will follow a formula similar to PSP's Every Extend Extra or Geometry Wars 2's Pacifist mode.No additional details are available yet, but we're eager to find out more. PomPom's Astro Tripper wasn't the best game on PSN, but it was easily worth its affordable $5 asking price.

If manic shooting's your thing (and why wouldn't it be?), then you may want to keep your sights pointed at Astro Tripper, the latest from Mutant Storm dev PopPom Games. The game is set to blast a hole right through Europe's PSN on December 11, with a US release promised to follow. No price has been announced for the game, which is based on PomPom's 2001 release, Space Tripper (itself an homage to Defender). What we do know is that the side-scrolling shmup will feature Trophies, unlockables and will likely melt your feeble eyes with its 1080p graphics.

When creativity and originality meet cuteness, you know you have a great DS case on your hands. Take this hungry-looking fleece and felt DS cover, for instance. If you're going to be carrying around your DS and making sure it's protected, you might as well do it with style.Made-to-order by Etsy craftster Kfarrell, you can pick whatever fabric and pompom colors your little heart desires (as long as she carries them, of course). The case will set you back $20, but for a handmade craft (and a cool one at that), we think the price is pretty reasonable.Hit up the gallery below to see two different versions of this case monster -- maybe that will help you come up with some interesting color schemes of your own, if you happen to find this as awesomely adorable as we do.Nom nom nom.%Gallery-27089%

We admit to always feeling kind of bad for Mutant Storm, the sort-of-pretty-but-not-as-pretty friend to fellow twin-stick shooter Geometry Wars. While GW got squired around town by every game critic on this side of the Mississippi, Mutant Storm was at home, washing her hair and twiddling her twin sticks. But now, she's evolved with Mutant Storm Empire, an 800-point sequel that's coming to Xbox Live Arcade next Wednesday (Oct. 31) according to Eurogamer (and just a year after we first saw it!). She's stitched her rooms together into coherent levels, she's tweaked her weapons and added online co-op. Now it's her turn. You go ahead, girlfriend. You go ahead and shine.

Live Arcade isn't exactly short on multi-directional shooters, but that didn't stop Xboxyde from posting new screens from PomPom's upcoming Mutant Storm Empire. Empire is the sequel to Mutant Storm Reloaded, one of Live Arcade's first available titles. Reloaded must have done fairly well, as the sequel is a 360 exclusive. Now if we could only start seeing some of the Arcade games promised at E3...
