Despite their lack of mainstream appeal, touchscreen monitors are slowly making inroads onto Joe Public's desktop, and display specialist Iiyama is hoping to come along for the ride with its new line of ProLine models. Coming in 15- (T1530SR), 17- (T1730SR), and 19-inch (T1930SR) flavors, the latest ProLines feature 800:1 contrast ratios, either 280 or 240cd/m² brightness, 5ms or 16ms response times, and either 1,280 x 1,024 (T1930 and T1730) or 1,024 x 768 (T1530) resolutions. Available immediately, the monitors range from £329 ($677) to £399 ($821) depending on size.

There's always room in our jaded hearts for another low-cost, 19-inch widescreen LCD especially when it can deliver on specs. The Iiyama ProLite E1901WS/B features a panel resolution of 1440x900 (WXGA+) and throws down a 5-ms response, 850:1 contrast, 300cd/m2 brightness, and a D-Sub15 input for getting old school RGB or 2x HDCP-enabled DVI inputs to keep HD videos dancin' in Vista. Available in white or black with a super-thin bezel for going multi-paneled. At just ¥35,800 (about $304) maybe you don't have to wait for Dell.[Via Impress]

We don't cover a lot of iiyama LCDs 'round here but they do make some decent panels at an attractive price. Their new 22-incher, the ProLite E2200WS, is certainly no exception with a 1680x1050 (WSXGA+) resolution, 5-millisecond response time, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 300cd/m2 brightness, D-Sub and DVI inputs, and 170°/160° horizontal/vertical visibility. In fact, this is shaping up to be a near identical panel as the BenQ FP222W announced earlier. Just be careful HD fans 'cause there's no mention of HDCP support on that DVI jack. On sale now in Japan for ¥54,800 and then a few days later in Europe for £268/€398/$499. Come on iiyama, how 'bout some Stateside love too? [Via Impress]
