There are lots of reasons to love an MMO. For some, it's the promise of class mechanics that seem interesting. For others, it could just be a lush landscape and interesting storyline to follow as they play through the game. Perhaps you like a game because that's where all your friends are. Today's Guild Wars One Shots seems to fit all of those categories and more, at least according to Reggie A., who writes in: "Gotta love Guild Wars! Since the Dervish update I've been playing my Dervish more. I've come to love an Avatar of Grenth build. This shot was taken while doing the Chahbek Village daily in hard mode. Even in hard mode, it's so easy that it's like the Z-coins jump into your bag! I love the way Dervs play now." Have you caught a screenshot that shows off one of your favorite things? Feel like sharing? If so, then toss that screenshot into an email and send it our way at oneshots@massively.com. Please be sure to add your name, the name of the game, and a description of what we're seeing in the picture so we can credit it properly! Your image could wind up being the next one we feature here on Massively! %Gallery-112285%

Having a rough day? Holiday stress have you firmly in its grip? Well if that's the case, you can always jump into an MMO and enjoy some hack-and-slash time, such as what regular One Shots contributor Reggie A. experienced recently. His action-packed game of choice was Vindictus, and thanks to his Eyefinity rig, he's managed to capture an enormous panoramic screenshot for us to enjoy today! Before we turn it over to him, we'll note that you should check it out at full size for best viewing. Now, on with Reggie's note: "After hearing about it a lot, I decided to give Vindictus a try, and OMG it rocks. I was out practicing the staff combos and got this shot at the end of a boss fight -- the blast from her finishing move killing blow rocketed the boss quite a few feet away! Satisfying victory! [There are] not enough Vindictus screens on Massively, so here you go in Eyefinity!" We're all about those satisfying moments of MMO gaming. If you've captured a great screenshot recently, we'd love to see it. Just email it in to us here at oneshots@massively.com along with your name, the name of the game, and a description of what we're seeing. We'll post it out here on Massively and give you the credit for sending it in! %Gallery-85937%

The other day we asked for more April Fool's screenshots. In return, we got a couple more fun Guild Wars screenshots! While the holiday (and its associated silliness) may be fading into memory, screenshots stand as a permanent record of the craziness the team at ArenaNet dreamed up for players. This panoramic image comes to us from Reggie A. who has sent in an amazingly large screenshot like this one before. (As before, you'll want to see this one at full size to appreciate it!) This time, he shows us how cool Guild Wars looks on his three-monitor setup: "Hello again Massively, coming to you once more in Eyefinity! I logged in to GuildWars this April Fool's morning to ponder a bit more on my Ranger build and discovered that I was quite dinky!?!? In fact, every player was lilliputian today and we were dominated by our minis! That wee tiny spec in roughly the middle of the screen -- not the one running, the smaller one just standing -- is me... the Lich mini is mine. Hope he's not still pissed about that whole Flameseeker Prophecies incident." We love to see what players are doing in their favorite MMOs, but it takes players sending in screenshots and stories to make that happen. If you'd like to show off your latest adventures, then just grab a great screenshot and send it in to us here at oneshots AT massively DOT com along with your name, the name of the game, and a description of what we're seeing. We'll post it out here on One Shots and give you the credit! %Gallery-85937%

While many are relegated to just gaming on one screen, or perhaps even two if they're lucky (or maybe just one with a browser open on the others) there are a handful who have sweet setups like the Eyefinity. What's that? Well, it's three screens with insane amounts of real-estate for gaming! When it comes to One Shots, it means we get amazing panoramic shots like today's Star Trek Online screen (which really should be seen at full-size) sent in to us by Reggie A. who writes: Now that I've got Eyefinity setup, I was testing it out in various games to see if it would even work! STO works beautifully and I happened to catch this nice still with the center and arm of the galaxy in the background. So far, only Runes of Magic has really flat out not worked right. Anywho, I have three 4:3 ratio monitors running at 3840 x 1024, not as crazy high as some eyefinity rigs but I'll enjoy it! I hope Final Fantasy 14 works. If you've got a sweet screenshot that you'd like to show off, it's easy to do. Just email it in to us here at oneshots AT massively DOT com along with your name, the name of the game, and a brief description. We'll post it out here for everyone to check out, and give you the credit. %Gallery-85937%

  • One Shots: On Beacon's Perch

Ah, to escape to cold, frosty mountains! For many of us it's the dead heat of summer, so snow looks especially inviting. Today's One Shots comes to us from Reggie A, who stumbled across this area in Guild Wars while out exploring and made an incredible mini-panorama from three screenshots of the area. We'll let him fill you in on the specifics: I was running my new Elementalist in Guild Wars to Lion's Arch when I noticed a path I had never taken before. At the top of the peak one can look down and see almost all of Beacon's Perch, so with the help of 3 screenshots and some minor Photoshop work, I put together this minor panorama of the view. Beacon's Perch marks the starting point for the famous -- or infamous -- Droks Run; a task suited only to the incredibly skilled or the insane. Considering the area was flooded with people I don't know how I managed to get the shot without a single person in it!Have you tried your hand at making panoramics of a particular area in your favorite game? If so, we'd love to see them. All you have to do is attach them to an email and write up a quick blurb on what we're seeing, then email it to us at oneshots AT massively.com. Easy, no?%Gallery-9798%
