Is it possible you haven't played Robot Unicorn Attack yet? It's by far Adult Swim's most popular onilne Flash game, and not only is it available to play for free (in a few different forms) in your browser, but it's about a robot unicorn collecting fairies and dashing through star crystals while the 2009 remix of Erasure's "Always" plays in the background. Seriously, you better have played this. The game's also spawned three different versions on iOS, including the original, a Heavy Metal version, and a special Christmas edition. But now the full numbered sequel has arrived on iPhones and iPads, and it's made by PikPok, the developers behind the excellent Monsters Ate My Condo games.I'll hit the sourest note first: "Always" isn't in this one. At least not right away.

Adult Swim plans to release its first magical Android app, Robot Unicorn Attack, tomorrow for $1 on the mobile platform with cross-platform Open Feint support. Jeff Olsen, VP of Adult Swim Digital and Games, told Joystiq that the "Heavy Metal" and "Christmas Edition" versions of Robot Unicorn (currently available for iPhone) may come to Android depending on how the original performs on the Android Market. The company also expects to launch its free Adult Swim app for Android in May. The app allows users to access full episodes and clips from the Cartoon Network programming block's popular shows, including Robot Chicken, The Venture Bros and Aqua Teen Hunger Force. The app has surpassed a million downloads on the Apple App Store since its release in mid-February. "We've gotten a lot of requests for our games on Android," Olsen told us, saying that Adult Swim's other top-performing iOS games, Amateur Surgeon and Five Minutes to Kill (Yourself), would likely be next for development. "We're starting with Robot Unicorn because we've seen the most call for it. If it performs well, we'll look at our whole catalog and bring over our other top titles." "We haven't green-lit any projects for the console space," Olsen added, "but we are interested in the downloadable market; experimenting on multiple platforms on a variety of new platforms with Android being just the first." The free, Flash version of Robot Unicorn Attack is available to play on AdultSwim.com.

A whole slew of apps are going on sale this weekend, including Firemint's Real Racing 2 (which has dropped down to half price at US$4.99) and Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars (also $4.99, down by the same discount). Adult Swim's hilarious little Robot Unicorn Attack running game is only 99 cents, on sale for both iPad and iPhone. In fact, all of the Adult Swim titles are on sale for just 99 cents, so you can look through those to see what you like. I'm not sure what the impetus is behind this sale, but it's best not to ask questions. If you need a few new games to play this weekend (and honestly, I'm not sure you do, given all of the great titles on the App Store lately -- I'm still loving Battleheart), there you go.

Take the beloved Canabalt-style Robot Unicorn Attack game, remix it with some heavy music and aesthetic, and you've got the new iOS-exclusive version, which is available now on the App Store. That's really all you need to know -- give the online version a play if you haven't yet, and you'll see how much fun dashing and jumping with a robot unicorn can be. Sure, it's simple, but it's fun, and with the heavy metal tune playing in the background, it's even more awesome. And it's only US 99 cents; that's two bucks cheaper than the classic Erasure version. Great game, great price, and a great exclusive iPhone experience to boot.

Robot Unicorn Attack, developer Spiritonin's excessively magical browser-based game about a unicorn running through a dreamscape and smashing stars, is bringing its Erasure-fueled wonder to the iPhone, where it can always be with you. Entertainment Weekly reports that the Adult Swim-published browser game will be available on the App Store on June 1, for $2.99. Adam Atomic's Canabalt, also a game about running forever and jumping between platforms, similarly started as a pretty amazing browser game before becoming a smash hit on iPhone. We suspect that unicorn magic will help Robot Unicorn Attack achieve Adult Swim's wish for a hit iPhone game. [Via @superpac]
