Earlier this year at E3, Titmouse Games held a shindig for the press to promote its upcoming undead pirate game, Seven Haunted Seas. The soiree even had its own pirate band. More relevant to gamers out there, the company also showed a gameplay trailer of the game -- once. It looks like Titmouse has finally decided to let the public see what the game is all about and, if you like undead pirates -- especially ones named Scurvy Pete -- you're probably in for a treat. However, if you've been waiting for Titmouse to announce a platform for the game, you're out of luck. The game is in the prototype stage, so there are a few rough spots in the video, but it's still looking good so far. Of course, it's hard to argue with a guy that has a Gatling gun for an arm. Check out the video after the break. [Via Destructoid]

click to enlARRRRRge When we first heard that the animation studio behind Metalocalypse was opening a game studio, we were, admittedly, quite intrigued. It's been a while since we heard anything from the folks at Titmouse, apart from sampling their taste in music at E3, of course. Now, we have the first actual screens from the studio's first game, Seven Haunted Seas, which is the story of an undead pirate by the name of Scurvy Pete. The screens were taken from a demo build -- Titmouse is currently shopping for publishers -- and depict Scurvy Pete aboard his pirate ship and sailing the seven seas, which we can only presume are haunted. We're digging the art style so far. Hopefully we won't have to wait too much longer to see it in motion.%Gallery-67635%

So, we were at an E3 shindig for Seven Haunted Seas at Titmouse Studios last night. Seven Haunted Seas is a pirate game, you see, and so Titmouse desired to hire a pirate band to play the party. Ladies and gentlemen, we give you the Pirates Charles. The game wasn't actually there, incidentally. That's not important, though. Know why?Because there's a pirate band.

Titmouse Inc., creators of Metalocalypse, today announced that it is opening a brand new game studio. The studio, appropriately named Titmouse Games, is already working on its first project. Titmouse Inc. executive producers Chris and Shannon Prynoski will serve as president and vice president of the studio, respectively. Aaron Habibipour, whose resume includes work on the Guitar Hero series, Darkwatch and GUN, will serve as creative director. The studio's debut project is a console action RPG titled Seven Haunted Seas. It's billed as "a dark comedic tale about an undead pirate, Scurvy Pete, that returns from hell to find a dark, post-apocalyptic future where he must right all his wrongs to restore the world." Wait a minute. A pirate -- who is also a zombie -- fighting to save the world in a post-apocalyptic future? Looks like Brütal Legend has some competition for best plot ever.
