Tecmo Koei hits up its back catalog for this week's release of Tecmo Game Pack, a retro gaming compilation available for Android devices via Google Play. Tecmo Game Pack includes the original arcade version of Tecmo's action-puzzler Solomon's Key, along with the sadistically difficult NES platformer, Mighty Bomb Jack, and the Japan-only, Famicom sumo wrestling sim, Tsuppari Oozumou. All games feature touchscreen controls and offer unlockable bonuses such as arcade flyers and promotional artwork.

Mario and Donkey Kong: Minis on the Move highlights the new eShop releases this week. The 3DS puzzler has players guiding poor little mini Marios away from hazards by building a Pipe Dream-esque maze. The Wii U Virtual Console picks up two new games in the classic shooter Xevious and puzzle platformer Solomon's Key. You can also pick up Chasing Aurora for half price on the Wii U until May 16. A demo for the Wii U version of Resident Evil: Revelations arrives May 14.

This week's Virtual Console update offers two delectable titles -- Solomon's Key is a very unique action/puzzler hybrid, whereas The Combatribes features a wonderfully bad story and the demon clowns of Coney Island. Life doesn't get much better than this, folks! Solomon's Key (VC Arcade, 1 - 2 players, 600 Wii Points) The Combatribes (SNES, 1 - 2 players, 800 Wii Points) Every week, we like to check out what's new on the Virtual Console. We offer these videos as a sort of taste to help you decide whether or not you would want the game in question. We also toss in our own two cents because we're pushy jerks like that.

If you thought last week's NintendoWare Weekly update was huge, well ... you'll probably think the same thing about this week's update! That's mostly because Nintendo provides quite the overweight offering this time, with a total of ten new titles available for your post-Thanksgiving download. Loosen that belt and make some room for more by heading past the break for the full list of this week's releases.

This week, two Tecmo arcade games arrive on the Virtual Console in Europe, thankfully free of the rather excessive 800 Wii Point pricing standard Virtual Console Arcade games "enjoy" in Japan. Also available on WiiWare today: Spaceball Revolution, a game about tossing balls down a chute to light up spaces at the end, while avoiding various obstacles. This week's DSiWare offering is 2-in-1 Solitaire, which made us feel really stupid when we looked up the number of players allowed. Rygar (Arcade, 1 player, 600 Wii Points) Solomon's Key (Arcade, 1 player, 500 Wii Points) Spaceball Revolution (WiiWare, 1-2 players, 800 Wii Points) 2-in-1 Solitaire (DSiWare, 1 player, 200 DSi Points)

If you, like us, were jealous of the Japanese release of the arcade Ninja Gaiden game on Virtual Console, you can dry your ninja eyes (just pull up the front of the ninja mask and dab with that). The ESRB reveals that Tecmo is planning a North American release of the arcade brawler.Tecmo isn't stopping with Gaiden, either: further ESRB listings have appeared for arcade versions of both Rygar and Solomon's Key (which will be released in Japan next week). Oddly, the company's other upcoming Japanese VC release, Bomb Jack, is absent from the ESRB list.At the very least, we can all be happy that these are video games that someone wants to release on the Virtual Console.[Via Siliconera]

This week, there are no updates on the Japanese Wii Shop, due to the Obon holiday. Now we know why last week's update was so massive -- it more than compensated for a week off! The Virtual Console, at least, will return next week with four new games. No announcement has been made for WiiWare yet, but we thought we'd share the VC releases. It's going to be a good week for arcade games! Knuckle Heads, a silly-looking post-Street Fighter II fighting game from Namco, will be available, along with the arcade versions of Bomb Jack and Solomon's Key, two (unfortunately priced) total classics from Tecmo. Ike Ike! Nekketsu Hockey-bu! Subette Koronde Dairantou (Famicom, 1-4 players, 500 Wii Points) Solomon's Key (Arcade, 1 player, 800 Wii Points) Knuckle Heads (Arcade, 1-4 players, 800 Wii Points) Bomb Jack (Arcade, 1-4 players, 800 Wii Points) [Image]
