Apple nabbed its first award for an Apple TV+ show last night at the Critics' Choice Awards. Billy Crudup beat out Peter Dinklage (Game of Thrones) and Asante Blackk (This Is Us) to take home the prize for Best Supporting Actor thanks to his performance in The Morning Show. While this is a relatively minor award, it's still noteworthy that The Morning Show received industry recognition less than a month after its first season finale and just three months after the launch of Apple TV+.

After years of build-up and a cryptic teaser, Apple is ready to offer an honest-to-goodness trailer for its flagship TV+ series The Morning Show -- and it's clear that power struggles will take center stage. The streaming-only drama stars Jennifer Aniston as a veteran morning show anchor who starts by delivering news of her co-host's (Steve Carell) sudden firing over mysterious allegations, but it soon becomes clear that not everything is as it seems. Carell says Aniston is "throwing me under the bus," for a start -- and then there's the introduction of Reese Witherspoon, who plays a field reporter destined to shake up the power structure at the fictional show.

Apple is finally ready to offer a peek at its TV+ tentpole series The Morning Show... if only a brief one. The tech giant has released a teaser trailer that doesn't reveal any actual scenes, but makes it patently clear that there will be a lot of tension beyond the superficial pleasantness of the show-within-a-show. The characters played by Jennifer Aniston, Steve Carell and Reese Witherspoon all talk about wanting honesty. However, there's an undeniable power struggle at work -- don't expect them to find peace any time soon.

Nintendo's little white box is set to make a cameo in Steve Carell's upcoming CG joint, Despicable Me. You'll spot in the recently released trailer for the July 2010 film, which chronicles the lives of two warring supervillains. Apparently, when you're the best that supervillainy has to offer, you can just lay around in your orange track suit on your matching couch, snacking on potato chips and playing Wii all day. In Dreamworks' animated film, Over the Hedge, the insanely hyper squirrel, Hammy, completely stole the show. Because of his immense popularity, Activision plans on giving the squirrel his very own video game in Hammy Goes Nuts. The game will be released this fall on the PSP, GBA and DS.Players will take control of Hammy, RJ and Verne and once again adventure out of the forest in an attempt to reconnect Hammy's lost cable TV connection. Not much else is known about the games, other than each game will be original to its platform.I have to be honest here, I totally loved Hammy in the movie. With his superspeed and hyperactivity, Hammy is an definitely interesting character to base a game from, but would it be too much to hold out hope for Steve Carell to provide Hammy's in the game? Yeah, probably.(Via IGN)
