If you want to help people directly affected by the coronavirus pandemic while watching some of the best speedrunners in the world show off their craft, you're in luck. The good folks over at Games Done Quick (GDQ) announced today they plan to host a COVID-19 charity stream next month. Dubbed Corona Relief Done Quick (CRDQ), the event will take place online over the April 17th weekend, with 100 percent of donations going directly to Direct Relief. The humanitarian agency works with doctors and nurses in the US and across the world to equip them with medical supplies to care for people affected by poverty and other emergencies. You'll be able to watch the stream on GDQ's Twitch channel.

If you're hoping to immerse yourself in video games now that summer has officially reached the northern hemisphere, you're in luck. Games Done Quick is kicking off its annual summer charity livestream (below) on June 23rd at 12:30PM ET, and you can expect some very eclectic speedrunning in the name of a good cause -- this time, for Doctors Without Borders. The week-long event will include more than its fair share of classics, but you'll also find relatively recent games as well as the occasional left-field game to keep it fresh.

Summer Games Done Quick has just granted everyone a free pass to watch a week's worth of speedruns in the name of charity, but if livestreamed gaming isn't your thing, you can still support the cause. Donations made by Games Done Quick viewers will benefit Doctors Without Borders, but this time, the livestreaming effort has brought along a teammate: the fine folks at Humble Bundle. Until the charitable event's June 28 conclusion, The Summer Games Done Quick Bundle offers 10 games for $25, with 100 percent of its proceeds going to Doctors Without Borders. The bundle includes Gunpoint, Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs and Guacamelee! Gold Edition, among others. In the case of Guacamelee, only 25,000 copies are available for the sale, so anyone interested in brawling through an adventure as a luchador (and sometimes a rooster) should make a swift purchase. For PC users, each game can be claimed via Steam key or as a DRM-free download. Mac and Linux users should look closely at each game's dropdown menu before buying in however, since not all of them are available without DRM on all platforms, or even available on Mac and Linux in the first place.
