Wondering how wireless "tag mode" will work on Nintendo's new 3DS? You're not alone. Fortunately, a trailer for Super Street Fighter IV has been loosed upon the internets giving us a pretty decent overview of what serendipitous game play will be like. To start with, a minigame feature lets you automatically fight your nearby rival's collectable action figures even while the 3DS is tucked away in your bag. The more you fight the more figures you collect. Then there's the more obvious wireless battle mode for active multiplayer gameplay with nearby 3DS owners. Should make for some interesting chance encounters on public transportation. You do live in a densely populated area don't you squirt?

Last night, Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix producer Rey Jimenez jumped on the Capcom Digital blog to answer some community questions, clear up a few things and show off the team's latest artwork. Jimenez posted the background art asset for the Las Vegas inspired Balrog stage (high-res) and, as you can see, the artwork is flippin' gorgeous! Yes they updated the sprites and gave it some flavor, but if you don't like the new background SF purists ... well, then don't like it! Other than revealing some sexy artwork producer Jimenez answered a few community questions regarding the game and its features including achievement talk, character customization and character animations. The update is brimming to the top with details about this upcoming XBLA title, so go check it out and get learned.[Via Joystiq]

Last week we got our first look at Ken from the upcoming 1080p remake of Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix and today Udon Comics has given us a look at SFII badass, Akuma. Just like Ken before him, Akuma's HD treatment looks absolutely amazing and sports an incredible amount of detail. The artists at Udon have really done an awesome job at updating the geriatric sprites -- these new shots look almost too good to be true. According to the post on the Capcom blog site though, the images are straight from the game with the backgrounds removed, which bodes fantastically for the final product. Luckily, SSFIITHDR is coming out later this year so we don't have long to wait until we get our high-def Hyduken on.%Gallery-3777%[Via High-Score]
