ASUS Eee PC T101MT now shipping to the form factor indecisive
Still thinking long and hard about some of those iPad alternatives? Well, ASUS' 10-inch Eee PC T101MT is undoubtedly for those that can't make the call on netbook vs. tablet, and like clockwork the Atom N450-powered netvertible is creeping up on stateside order pages in search of $500 of your hard earned cash. Unfortunately, for that price you'll only be getting single touch input since its Windows 7 Starter OS lacks multitouch support, but our guess is that slightly more expensive SKUs with Win 7 Premium will start popping up soon. We'd certainly urge you to wait on our full review, but if you're too eager to put your fingers all over that capacitive resistive screen and chiclet keyboard, reach for your wallet and hit one of those source links.
ASUS' Ion 2-based Eee PC to launch in April
Rather than mongering yet another rumor, DigiTimes is apparently reporting as fact that an Ion 2-powered Eee PC will launch in April. It's also expected to host a 12-inch display if we're reading this report correctly. That NVIDIA boost is welcome news since the Pine Trail-only bump given to its Eee PC 1005PE didn't offer much in the way of performance improvements and still can't handle YouTube video in HD. While no direct prices were given, Atom N450-based Eees are expected to drop in price to NT$14,000 (about $439) in Q2 after ASUS depletes its stock of legacy N270- and N280-based Atom netbooks. DigiTimes also notes that its 10-inch Eee PC T101 convertible touchscreen tablet (the T101MT presumably) will launch in late February along with a 12-inch Eee PC built around AMD's Congo.

Asus' Eee PC T101 convertible tablet has been floating around in one form or another for quite a while now, but it looks like it's now finally cleared the FCC as the Eee PC T101MT, which seems to suggest that it might just be getting official at CES next month. While details on this particular model are pretty light, the FCC filing does confirm that it packs 802.11b/g/n WiFi, and the "MT" in the model name likely indicates that this one's a multitouch tablet -- the Eee PC T101 that we've seen previously was a 10-inch tablet with the usual unremarkable netbook specs, but an upgrade to Pine Trail seems a safe bet for this model.
ASUS Eee PC T101 tablet reportedly facing uncertain future
Last we had heard, ASUS' Eee PC T101 tablet (or T101H) still had a place on ASUS' massive Eee PC roadmap, and was on track for a late August / early September release after being pushed back from its original June launch date. According to DigiTimes, however, the device's future now looks to be even more uncertain, with it supposedly set for release this September "at the earliest." Some unspecified "industry sources" further go on to say that the T101 (and other future ASUS netbook tablets) could either be pushed back further or scaled back on shipments if the company's current Eee PC T91 doesn't meet expectations, or possibly even canceled altogether.[Via Electronista]Update: Looks like the T101 and T101H are one in the same. Leaked Eee PC roadmap shows 23 models, redefines brand dilution
Engadget Chinese received the slide image above showing ASUS' Eee PC roadmap. Go ahead count 'em up, we'll wait... Right, 23 Eee PCs before they're done, some of which we've already seen. The "extreme slim and light" S101 and S91 models, however, are new and tantalizing Eee PC "Ultimate" series additions and should compete nicely with the Dell E Slim. Really though, 23 models ASUS?
