Well, that's not actually the real title of the Tank Beat sequel (it's the decidedly less catchy Tank Beat 2 Clash! German Forces Vs. the Allies), but maybe if the game is localized, O3 or whichever company will pick up on our suggestion. Their title is more descriptive, we guess. The first Tank Beat detailed a fictional war between the countries of Codusal and Kyushengaard, though it included some real-world tanks. This one, however-- unless they've invented a new set of "Allies" and "Germans"-- takes place in World War II. You know, like every other game.Did any of you check out Tank Beat? We didn't, though we like the idea of an arcade-ish tank game with stylus controls; we're thinking an updated Battlezone.

Ever lie about what you're playing? Say, for instance, you're playing Pokemon, which is widely regarded among the non-gaming population (and certain contingents of the gaming population) as for babies, and you, as a non-baby, are asked what's in your DS by a friend. Do you say something distinctly un-baby-like, like Brain Age or the tough-sounding Tank Beat? Or do you stay true to yourself and happily announce that you're training your new Wurmple? Are there other situations in which you consider lying? If, for example, you are playing Brain Age and you're accosted by a gamer friend who hasn't joined the non-game revolution? Or if some bloggers survey their audience and you're playing something that you don't think is appropriately cool?

With this week's releases sitting on shelves in a store near you, we imagine if you're interested in any of them, it'll be Tank Beat. Of course, that only pertains to the U.S. as Europe finally gets their hands on Wario: Master of Disguise and Australia gets almost nothing. Japan, of course, gets the most, but we're all used to that round here. So, what will you be playing this weekend? Will you pick up Tank Beat or Wario: Master of Disguise, or are these titles lacking that "need to buy" factor for you?

If tanks make you want to crack a glowstick and hit the dance floor, then this Tank Beat trailer is the coolest thing you're going to see all day. Here's hoping they keep this music for the multiplayer side -- there's just nothing like a few pumping beats to liven up the interior of your massive killing machine. Next up: the pine-scented air freshener.
