Tuesday will be a big day for PS3-owning FPS fans who have forsaken the corporeal confines of physical media, as well as classic fighting game kids and the eighteen people that still remember Future Cop: LAPD.Battlefield 3, Darkstalkers 3, Bejeweled 3, The Cursed Crusade, Grease Dance and Future Cop: LAPD will all be available on the PlayStation Network this Tuesday, April 24, according to the latest episode of the PlayStation Blogcast. This also means we still live in a world where Grease Dance is a perfectly acceptable name for a video game, which means we've haven't been tampering with the past nearly hard enough.

Sorry, we couldn't help but notice that your watch is a few minutes slow, there. See, you're currently fifteen minutes behind our chronometer, which shows -- accurately, we might add -- that it's co-op dude-stabbing time. We suggest you correct your watch, and indulge appropriately in the recently released Xbox 360 demo for Atlus and Kylotonn's The Cursed Crusade. We suppose there are a number of games you can play to stab cooperatively, but really, aren't all of those old hat by now? Cursed Crusade's not old hat - a little old sugarloaf helm, perhaps.

Better sheathe that sword and oil up your armor or whatever it is you do to keep armor clean and operational: Atlus has announced The Cursed Crusade will be arriving on the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC two weeks later than originally intended. The new launch date is October 25. This is where we'd make a joke about curses but that's too obvious for us. But hey, at least it's still a budget title, so that's something, right? The Cursed Crusade takes place in the Middle Ages during the titular Crusades -- the fourth one, to be exact. Two cursed individuals, Denz and Esteban, are fighting to save their souls from the Templar's Curse, which threatens to "accelerate their descent into hell, burning their humanity away as it engulfs the space around them in demonic flame."

Warning: if you read this post, you will be cursed with knowledge about The Cursed Crusade. No longer will you be ignorant of its release date or price. Atlus revealed this forbidden information today in a press release, announcing that Kylotonn's latest will arrive on PS3, PC, and Xbox 360 October 11, at a budget-ish price point of $39.99. For even more knowledge of The Cursed Crusade, Atlus also released the above trailer, all about the "Templar's Curse" that plagues the two protagonists. Symptoms include gruff, dramatic monologues. The official website also features a developer diary, about the detail work that went into the setting, weapons, and audio.%Gallery-128428%

To promote the upcoming release of The Cursed Crusade, developer Kylotonn and publisher Atlus have put together a little mini-crusade in the form of the official website. You can click around the new website looking for little Templar Shields to unlock info about characters and environments, which also fills your "Templar's Curse" meter. When the meter is full, you can "transform the page into a fiery, demonic view of the environment, unlocking a slew of new information," as Atlus describes it. You monster. You can also browse some new screenshots in our gallery. Try not to curse anything while you're looking, will you?%Gallery-121344%

  • Atlus to begin The Cursed Crusade on Xbox, PS3 and PC

Atlus PR and sales bard, Aram Jabbari, describes The Cursed Crusade as "a story of salvation and survival" set during the often unpleasant Middle Ages. "The game's main characters are not heroes; they're just men, susceptible to temptation, easily made to feel doubt and despair," Jabbari says, plucking a string (but in like, a sinister way). "The raw, gritty accuracy of many of the game's historical locations is sharply contrasted by Denz and Esteban's supernatural struggle to save their souls. Their affliction, the Templar's Curse, threatens to accelerate their descent into hell, burning their humanity away as it engulfs the space around them in demonic flame." Apparent non-comedy troupe Denz and Esteban star in The Cursed Crusade, a new third-person action-adventure game coming to Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. It looks to be heavy on the melee combat, with Atlus and French developer Kylotonn (see: Speedball 2) promising a wide variety of weapons and ways to inflict critical flesh wounds. The curse that threatens to overwhelm Denz and Esteban also seems to grant them supernatural strengths -- including the anachronistic ability to fight cooperatively over the internet. According to Atlus, Esteban will be an AI-controlled character in the single-player mode. Join Denz and Esteban on their violent tour of Medieval Europe in Summer 2011. Bring your demonic flame-resistant dalmatica.%Gallery-106790%
