Did you play Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam for Wii? If so, it may help determine how you feel about the latest handheld Tony Hawk title, which will include an accelerometer add-on for the GBA slot. We don't know much else about Tony Hawk's Motion other than a) it's a skateboarding game (mostly) and b) there'll be tilt controls. Having played the aforementioned Wii game, however, this blogger, at least, is somewhat intrigued. How are you feeling? Did you play Downhill Jam, and does that make a difference? It must be said that I skipped Proving Ground, but did have a blast with Downhill Jam, though I didn't think I would, at all. Gallery: Tony Hawk's Motion

Activision has revealed a new Tony Hawk game for the DS, titled Tony Hawk's Motion. Utilizing some sort of "Motion Pack" that attaches to the DS (how it attaches is an unknown at this point, but it's likely going into the GBA slot), Activision says players will "twist, tilt and turn through various skateboarding sessions." Sounds like a neat idea to us!But, in an odd move and series first, Activision will include snowboarding into the game. Snowboarding in a skateboarding game. We guess those two activities go hand in hand. We wouldn't know. When it comes to defying gravity, we're usually full of fail.%Gallery-30779%

Activision has officially announced Tony Hawk's Motion for Nintendo DS, and, in doing so, also confirmed rumors that the game will be controlled using motion-sensing. The game will utilize an accelerometer-based "Motion Pack;" we're checking with Activision for more details on the tech (for instance, does it occupy the GBA slot?)According to Activision, players will be able to "twist, tilt and turn through various skateboarding sessions." iPhone much? Also, as a first in the series, the game will introduce snowboarding – wait, what? Yes, "Tony Hawk," a name synonymous with ... snowboarding. Tony Hawk's Motion will come bundled with Hue Pixel Painter, an action-puzzle game that has players tilting the DS to "return color to a dull world." Both games are being handled by Creat (makers of the [ahem] superb Aqua Teen Hunger Force Zombie Ninja Pro-Am) and will hit in November. Check out the first screens below.Update: Activision has confirmed with us that the Motion Pack is a proprietary add-on developed for it by Kionix, Inc. and fits into the DS' GBA slot.%Gallery-30773%%Gallery-30774%
