Jay-Z and Eminem headline DJ Hero event
Though our invites to tonight's Activision-sponsored party touted Guitar Hero 5 as the rhythm game to-be-previewed, the marquee in front of the Wiltern Theatre testified otherwise -- the real star of the evening will apparently be DJ Hero.Oh, and the "secret guest appearances" Activision teased in the invitation are a tad different than we expected as well -- we'll apparently be laying eyes and ears on the musical talents of Eminem, Jay-Z and noted plane crash survivors Travis Barker and DJ AM. Fairly appropriate, considering the night's DJ Hero branding, no? Like, one of the performers has "DJ" in his name.We'll let you know if we get to lay eyes on Activision's record spinning title. We'll also let you know how our faces are doing at the end of the evening after the aforementioned performers rock (rap?) them off.%Gallery-64733%
Travis Barker track pack live in World Tour
Some new tracks are available to download for all of you Guitar Heroes out there. The new trio of tracks focus on famous drummer Travis Barker of blink-182 fame. Along with a hit blink-182 single, we've also got a single from his other band, as well as a remix of another track. Each song will cost you 200 Wii Points and is available to download through Guitar Hero World Tour right now. Guitar Hero DLC: Travis Barker track pack
World renowned drummer Travis Barker from such bands as blink-182, +44 and Transplants has been graced with his own dedicated track pack today in Guitar Hero: World Tour. At 440 for the entire three-song pack or 140 160 per track, gamers can rip through three very different Barker sets at different times in his 15 year career.
