Time to get a pair of your own. <a href="http://v-moda.com/crossfade-m-80/">V-Moda's</a> got five pairs of its latest <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2011/08/12/v-moda-remixes-headphone-lineup-with-crossfade-m-80-supra-aurals/">on-ear headphones</a>, the Crossfade M-80, to give out to our dear readership. Each of them normally would run you $230, so this opportunity is a pretty sweet alternative to having to shell out a benjamin or three just to get some solid sound pumping into those fragile eardrums of yours. You know the drill: head below, read the rules and leave a comment to win!<p><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2012/04/09/engadget-giveaway-crossfade-m-80/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Engadget Giveaway: win one of five V-Moda Crossfade M-80 on-ear headphones!</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2012/04/09/engadget-giveaway-crossfade-m-80/">Engadget Giveaway: win one of five V-Moda Crossfade M-80 on-ear headphones!</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Mon, 09 Apr 2012 11:01:00 EST. It's finally seen the light though -- one of its existing on-ear headphones, the V-80, has now officially been re-released as the Crossfade M-80. The metal-clad M-80 looks nearly identical to the company's veteran <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2011/02/22/v-modas-crossfade-lp-custom-headphones-drop-the-beat-make-you/">LP over-ear headphones</a>, but this noise-isolating set is actually 53-percent smaller using 40mm dual-diaphragm drivers (down from 50mm) equalized to 31 points for more versatility across musical genres. There's memory foam padding on the earcups with an ultra-flexible headband wrapped in suede to keep things comfy, and vents<em> </em>on the swappable faceplates for a <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2011/07/12/bowers-and-wilkins-c5-iphone-headset-oozes-luxury-into-your-ear-ca/">wider soundstage</a>. Two kevlar-wrapped cables with a microphone and different in-line controls are included to support most smartphones. When it's finally time to take them off an included hardshell case will keep 'em safe -- though V-Moda claims they can survive over <em>70</em> six-foot drops onto concrete. Hot stuff, and thankfully above the collar. The M-80s are available now for $230 from V-Moda -- PR with more details after the break. <div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/v-moda-crossfade-m-80-metal-on-ear-headphones/">V-Moda Crossfade M-80 Metal on-ear headphones</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/v-moda-crossfade-m-80-metal-on-ear-headphones/#4360653"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2011/08/m-80flyingwbgcroppedweb-large_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/v-moda-crossfade-m-80-metal-on-ear-headphones/#4360655"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2011/08/shop-v-moda---crossfade-m-80-on-ear_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/v-moda-crossfade-m-80-metal-on-ear-headphones/#4360657"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2011/08/v-modas-crossfade-m-80-metal-on-ear-headphone-packs-explosive-sound-in-a-sleek-size_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/v-moda-crossfade-m-80-metal-on-ear-headphones/#4360654"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2011/08/shop-v-moda---crossfade-m-80-on-ear-1_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/v-moda-crossfade-m-80-metal-on-ear-headphones/#4360651"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2011/08/1-m-80layingonreliefweb_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2011/08/12/v-moda-remixes-headphone-lineup-with-crossfade-m-80-supra-aurals/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>V-Moda remixes headphone lineup with Crossfade M-80 supra-aurals, yours for $230</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2011/08/12/v-moda-remixes-headphone-lineup-with-crossfade-m-80-supra-aurals/">V-Moda remixes headphone lineup with Crossfade M-80 supra-aurals, yours for $230</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Fri, 12 Aug 2011 05:40:00 EST. Why break <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/beats/">Dr. Dre</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2010/09/29/beats-by-dr-dre-launching-beatbox-ipod-dock-along-with-lebron/">Justin Bieber</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2011/01/04/sleek-audio-teases-wireless-headphones-50-cent-provides-inspira/">50 Cent</a> or <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2011/01/05/signeo-reveals-soul-by-ludacris-headphone-series-at-ces/">Ludacris</a> off a 'lil somethin' somethin' when you can endorse yourself? That's a question that the engineers at V-Moda have found themselves centered on the past few months, and now they've got a solution: the Crossfade LP Customs. They're half gimmick, half hilarious, and 100 percent <i>awesome</i>. $199.99 nets you a customized set of cans, with seven plate colors to choose from and the option to add up to 11 characters of text. You know -- plenty of room for "BEATZ BY ME." Get at 'em in the source link below, but be prepared to wait two to three weeks for delivery. What, you expecting VIP treatment or something?<br />

It's been a hot minute since we've caught wind of a new set of <a href="http://www.engadget.com/all/v-moda">V-Moda earbuds</a> that weren't exactly like the last pair of V-Moda earbuds, but the Vibrato does a fairly decent job of differentiating itself. How so, you ask? By boasting zinc alloy construction, a Kevlar cable and an in-line, three-button iPhone remote. Obviously catering to those who need a set of metallic earbuds to match their loud-and-proud iPhone 4 antenna band, these guys also rely on 8mm neodymium drivers and ship with four sizes of ear tips. You know, in case you need to let your best bud borrow 'em for the evening. They're available now through Apple's retail shops and online at the company's e-store (see source link below) for $129.99.<p><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2010/10/21/v-modas-metallic-vibrato-earbuds-get-kevlar-cable-in-line-ipho/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>V-Moda's metallic Vibrato earbuds get Kevlar cable, in-line iPhone remote</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2010/10/21/v-modas-metallic-vibrato-earbuds-get-kevlar-cable-in-line-ipho/">V-Moda's metallic Vibrato earbuds get Kevlar cable, in-line iPhone remote</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Thu, 21 Oct 2010 14:34:00 EST. <div align="left">There must be a fashion-forward young man or woman out there brave enough to sport <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/v-moda">V-Moda</a>'s new Vibe II with Microphone. These stainless steel alloy headphones follow in the footsteps of the popular (and much better looking) Vibe Duo and feature the noise-isolation, in-line handsfree microphone, call and music controls that we expect from the line. In addition, the 'phones possess "solid and tactual sensation comparable to the finest jewelry and watches." Right. If you'd like to see for yourself, these beauts are available for $128, exclusively at the Apple Store.</div>

Just as V-MODA's <a href="http://www.engadgetmobile.com/2007/07/05/v-moda-vibe-duo-earbuds-class-up-your-iphone/">Vibe Duo earbuds</a> got revamped with a new iPhone-friendly music controller, an unnamed set of copycats have surfaced on the web. This painfully bad ripoff manages to ditch the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/10/02/v-moda-re-ups-vibe-duo-headset-for-iphone-with-music-control/">newly acquired music control</a> and it opts for a lovely gold / black color scheme -- you know, so folks are absolutely certain you're rockin' the fakes. Notably, they're said to provide "massive bass" and fit in a "wide range of ears," and while we can't imagine the sound quality being up to snuff, this $3.99 set looks to be the perfect compliment to <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/09/23/keepin-it-real-fake-part-lxxxi-new-ipod-nano-clones-unveiled/">whatever</a> <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/09/20/keepin-it-real-fake-part-lxxx-onda-honey-vx878/">knockoff</a> <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/09/03/keepin-it-real-fake-part-lxxv-ma-727-apes-samsungs-t9b/">DAP</a> you'd surely pair them with.<br /><br />[Thanks, Brian]<p>Filed under: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/portableaudio/" rel="tag">Portable Audio</a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/10/03/keepin-it-real-fake-part-lxxxiv-v-moda-ripoffs-for-your-kirf/">Keepin' it real fake, part LXXXIV: V-MODA ripoffs for your KIRF-pod</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Wed, 03 Oct 2007 15:02:00 EST. Anyone who's been repeatedly reaching for a iPod remote control clipped to their wardrobe while using their iPhone -- only to discover that it doesn't exist -- will be delighted to hear that V-MODA has revamped its <a href="http://www.engadgetmobile.com/2007/07/05/v-moda-vibe-duo-earbuds-class-up-your-iphone/">Vibe Duo</a> headset to add integrated music control. The control button, which seems to be positioned and operated the same way as the one on the iPhone's bundled headset, can be used to fiddle with calls as well as tunes. It's not quite the four or five button set we'd like to be able to track forward, back, play, pause, and change volume, but considering that the iPhone lacks a control socket beside its jack, we'll take what we can get. Get the updated 'phones now for the same $99 as the original.<p>Filed under: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/cellphones/" rel="tag">Cellphones</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/handhelds/" rel="tag">Handhelds</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/portableaudio/" rel="tag">Portable Audio</a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/10/02/v-moda-re-ups-vibe-duo-headset-for-iphone-with-music-control/">V-MODA re-ups Vibe Duo headset for iPhone with music control</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Tue, 02 Oct 2007 12:33:00 EST. Just when it seemed like the only option for better iPhone earbuds was to <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/07/05/diy-iphone-earbud-replacement/">make them yourself</a>, along comes the V-MODA Vibe Duo. Sure, it'll cost you, but for exactly $101 you can trade up to the luxury and style of this sweet-ass trio. The earbud / microphone combo features V-MASQUE dynamic drivers, a noise-canceling technology called BLISS, and (according to the propaganda), "vibrant bass" coupled with "vivacious highs". Clearly a package aimed at those with a taste for the finer things in life (like spending almost 17% of the cost of your phone on earbuds), the Vibe Duo comes with a 24k gold plated connector, leather pouch, six pairs of clear silicon fittings (plus two sets of black), and the assurance that you'll look considerably more classy when speaking to your agent.<br /><br />[Thanks, Taylor F]<p>Filed under: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/peripherals/" rel="tag">Peripherals</a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/07/05/v-moda-vibe-duo-earbuds-class-up-your-iphone/">V-MODA Vibe Duo earbuds class up your iPhone</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Thu, 05 Jul 2007 12:01:00 EST.
