It's an exciting time for the hyper-kinetic Rusty Hearts, as the title is not only moving into its second closed beta phase today but ramping up for a blockbuster appearance at this week's PAX. Perfect World is upping the ante for potential testers, offering a free costume item for those who log into the game in the first 12 hours. This costume piece will persist through open beta, so there's no worry it's going away anytime soon. Rusty Hearts' closed beta phase 2 is also increasing the amount of content available in the game, including a complete town restructure, a fine-tuning of the PvP system, the ability to compare yourself to other players, a side quest system, a revamp of the skill tree, advanced crafting, and unique cosmetic looks for crafted weapons. If you don't have the pleasure of attending PAX, the Rusty Hearts dev team has a present for you anyway: the full PAX walkthrough video that will be on display at the convention. You can check it out after the jump!

It seems like the only question really left about the Nokia N8, albeit the most important one, is just how it'll interface with the user and what the experience of living with it will be like. The Nokia Conversations team is now aiming to answer just that with the first of three video walkthroughs taking us on a tour of the new device and its Symbian^3 operating environment. We now know you can have up to three homescreens with six widgets apiece, and -- gasp -- wallpapers are available right off the bat. Threaded messaging is also implemented in the new OS, as well as a soft QWERTY keyboard and a set of emoticons... yes, emoticons. Notably, the entire demo is done with the phone held in landscape, suggesting that might be the preferred method of use, while transitions between menus look as quick and pleasurable as you might expect from a promo video. See the whole thing after the break.

Apple just posted a guided tour for the new iPhone 3G. In the video, our old friend Bob from the original iPhone walkthrough covers "What's new in the iPhone 3G" and the iPhone 2.0 software update. The iPhone 3G isn't due out until July 11th, but it looks like Apple is, once again, trying to start up the hype train. You can watch the video by heading over to Apple's iPhone website. Thanks, Justin!

You've already seen wooden mockups, developer kits, prototype controllers, and even blurry interface shots, but now for the first time ever, IGN has scored an exclusive video walkthrough of exactly how the menu system will operate when you first power up your brand new PlayStation 3. As noted before, the interface takes many of its cues from the highly-regarded PSP GUI, with simple drop down menus giving you access to all the important settings like video resolution, audio output, and management of your virtual friends. Although the interface may appear a little barebones to some, it certainly comes across as quite functional and intuitive, and Sony promises that there will be some degree of configurability for those of you who love to schlock up your MySpace pages. Anyway, instead of wasting your time reading our amateurish description of the walkthrough, why not hit the vid itself on Google Video; or for more complete viewing options (higher resolutions, different formats), head over to IGN directly by following the Read link...[Via Joystiq]
