Enough talking the talk; Waren Story is ready to walk the walk. The PvP-centric MMO announced the start of its closed beta phase today as it pushes forward toward release. Aeria Games is calling for all bloodthirsty players to help test the game and iron out the bugs. Waren Story's PvP is both varied and vicious. There are 10 different modes of player-vs-player combat, including siege warfare and a weekly conquest war. Players who fall in combat will give up some of their experience and items to their killer, so there's a vested interest in staying alive at all costs. If you're interested in the beta, you can head over to Waren Story and download the client starting today.

Waren Story's got a new website as of this morning. What's Waren Story? It's a new PvP-centric free-to-play MMO from Aeria. The site features bits about the fantasy title's story, its customizable weapons and gear, and plenty of info on skills and character classes. There's also a section devoted to Waren Story's mercenary mechanics, which allow players to hire a wide variety of powerful combat allies. Elf archers, dwarf warriors, and Dryad queens are all yours for the taking, Aeria says. Head to the game's new web destination for further details, and don't forget to sign up for the closed beta while you're there. [Source: Aeria Games press release]

"The continent of Waren is divided, and a dark force is stirring in its polluted western lands." So says the latest press release from Aeria Games, which trumpets the firm's new Waren Story MMO. Naturally the dark force and the polluted lands call for plenty of heroes, and players can saddle up as one of four classes (Warrior, Gunner, Archer, or Brawler) to take on the forces of evil in Aeria's latest free-to-play offering. The company says that players will "traverse an endless series of monster-infested plains" while exploring an "exotic medieval world," but Aeria hasn't released many details in regard to Waren Story's mechanics. There is a brief trailer available, though, so click past the break to check it out. [Source: Aeria Games press release]
