For years, the NPD Group has tracked and reported video game sales figures. Every month, the company issues an email to the media detailing the top ten selling games for the month prior, total amount spent on games, hardware and accessories and year-over-year and generation-over-generation growth or decline. The glaring hole in those reports is that they didn't account for digital game sales from places like Steam, PlayStation Network or Xbox Live. But that's changing and with this month's data, we'll finally have steps toward a true, comprehensive picture of how much a particular title has sold, both from retailers and digital distribution.

Revealed at the beginning of the year, a new trailer has surfaced for Looney Tunes: ACME Arsenal from Warner Brothers. Thankfully, the game actually looks halfway decent. What we see is essentially standard fare for action platformers, but it looks well done at least. The character models look very nice and the backgrounds are appropriately cartoony (we especially dig Wackyland). There are also plenty of outlandish weapons available (including a massive triple minigun). All in all, it's looking like a faithful rendition of some of our favorite characters. Here's hoping someone has the sense to put a budget price on it.Update: Corrected game title.

The excitement factor for The 300 movie is at a fever pitch and hopefully gamers will also have something to get excited about when the game is released in March. For the curious, a website devoted to the 300: March to Glory game has gone live. On the site you can find the trailer, screenshots, game features and weapon profiles. From going to the site, I learned that Wizard Magazine said the 300: March to Glory was "One of the 10 games you'll have to own in 2007 ...or you're better off dead." Strong praise indeed. Let's hope they actually played the game before making those comments. Anyone got this puppy in their "to buy" list? I know I do, but only because I don't want to die. [Via IGN]
