Steam's weekly deals kicked off yesterday, but players in the US were probably too busy lounging poolside with a plate full of hamburgers to notice – and hey, Steam users outside of the US could have been doing the same thing. It's cool; we don't judge. This week's Steam deals last until June 3 at 10 a.m. PT, and it's a big batch: Greed: Black Border, Waking Mars, Papo & Yo, They Bleed Pixels, The Guild 2, Angry Birds Space, The Adventures of Shuggy, Flatout: Complete Pack, Worms: Ultimate Mayhem and Tower Wars. All of these games are up to 75 percent off, clickable here. And again, Steam's news post says these deals last until a day in the past, this time "May 3." Don't tell anyone, and maybe we'll get these super sales for an entire year.

The PC version of Worms Ultimate Mayhem will reach Steam on September 28, a one-week delay from its previous pronouncement of war. Launch dates for operations on the Xbox 360 and PS3 are still to be determined. Along with today's debut delay announcement, Team 17 brought out a new "customization" trailer. The clip features some of the 100 fashion items available for the Worms, and shows off the "weapon factory," which allows players to customize how some items in their arsenal deliver sweet, wormy death. %Gallery-133923%

Worms Ultimate Mayhem has been officially announced by Team 17 for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. Revealed by the Australian Classification Board in May, Worms Ultimate Mayhem is a downloadable HD re-vamp and "reimagining" of Worms 3D and Worms 4: Mayhem. The game will include "all of the content" from the original games, along with 60 single-player missions, 12 graphical themes, 38 weapons and full online play for up to four players. Team 17's head designer John Dennis also mentions that they've made improvements suggested by fans of the original games. The voice-acted missions are good and fine, but the "vastly improved camera functionality" is what could finally convert the hate directed at the 3D installments of the series into wriggly worm love.%Gallery-129381%

Team 17 has received a rating for Worms: Ultimate Mayhem from the Australian Classification Board. The unannounced invertebrate title will likely be digitally distributed -- like most of Team 17's most recent projects. If the Ultimate Mayhem title is a hint of what to expect from this game, then it would be fair to guess it's based on Worms 4: Mayhem. Meaning Worms: Ultimate Mayhem could be the first 3D Worms game for HD consoles. A new 3D installment of Worms certainly comes with risk, as the 3D iterations of Worms were never as well-received as their 2D counterparts.
